Well Since coming to Kitkat, I loved the flashlight toggle that tweaked offered. So I set out to enable it on this firmware. Plus I need to contribute something to the Note 3
First things first;
@CNexus - For the how-to on the mod - and creating it, and allowing me to post it.
@dwitherell - for the smali help(stupid santax), and help with everything else.
@foreverloco - for helping me with everything, his AOSP theme(that toggle is coming later)
Now On to the Mod - there are 2 parts that need to be flashed. Part 1, and then Part 2. YOU MUST FLASH BOTH PARTS.
Download Part 1
Download Part 2

Thats it, enjoy!
Oh and it shouldnt matter if you are odexed or deodexed, both APK's are already deodexed, however you will need to delete the .odex files for the SystemUI and SecSettings in /system/priv-app
Awesomeness!
What's the name of the file that I need to delete?
Nvm I understand now.

do you think you could add a couple other toggles too? like mobile data and smart network? that would be ideal :good:

Those are already there, you just need to add them to the settings.db with an sqlite editor, as you can see from the screenshots. Mobile data is already enabled for me
I suppose I could add it to the second part of the flashable zip. Where it enables mobile data and flashlight.
2nd part does not flash... (using TWRP/Philz) says fail.
I found a solution... Flash attached file below, then immediately flash the OP's part 1... Reboot & done...

Here is the how to that I followed.
Make sure to thank @CNexus for this.
A few pointers, I used apktool beta9, and I will need to send you my flashlight smali file. Unless he has uploaded the correct one. Otherwise the sysui won't compile back.

Thought I'd share a Customizable 23 Toggle Mod I ported for my Goodness Rom. Its mostly themed for Goodness Rom and has some of the Goodness customization in the SystemUI.
The Original Mod done here by Wanam, be sure to give him Thanks
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2022255
Included in the Mod are:
system/app
SystemUI.apk
QuickPanelSettings.apk
framework
Lidroid-res.apk
Customizations included would be the custom statusbar mod and custom pulldown mod. You will want to change those or have someone else change those specific to your rom. The SystemUI is also modded with working remove clock/am/pm if your rom settings allow it. I've included blue toggles from rubkatze themed toggles here to make it a little more universal.
I will not do custom versions of this mod. But will try to answer questions or help you get in your rom. If you already have a version of lidroid in your rom, try and target these files in your decompiled SystemUI.apk. They should include the only real changes you would have to make. Then include the lidroid-res.apk and quickpanelsettings.apk.
1. /res/layout/twstatusbarexpanded.xml
2. /smali/com/systemui/statusbar/phone/PhoneStatusBar.smali
There are 2 wanam folders one under com and another one inside.
Here are a couple screenshots. **The images in the pics are my personal setup not what you can expect in the mod.

Feel free to use as you please. Just a thanks to myslef, wanam and anyone else involved in the original mod please.
As always, do a nandroid first, then a wipe of cache and a flash should do the trick.

Awesome work man! I have been trying to port this to my ATT/Rogers GS3 for a few days. What am I missing? I already have working 15 toggles, so I replaced with your Lidroid and Quickpanel, then I added your two wanam files, but I am not getting a statusbar. Did you do any xml and smali edits in addition to those we need for the 15 toggles?
I would greatly appreciate any direction you could provide and of course full credit for porting to you, and original Lidroid & Wanam.
Edit: If you could post stock that may help?
SORRY i took so long mijjah i was updating frankenstein

Let me know if you need help. Beyond Compare will make it a lot easier. They ahve a 30 Day trial if you have never used it before. I use it daily and had no issues forking out the cash for the paid program.
Especially when hopping from old base to new base you can easily see the low level changes.

includes a few apps.
includes framework theming as well so I dont want to flash over wickeds rom... I may try just extracting the apps i want manually and move them into the system/apps with root explorer, set permissions and reboot.
Edit: Worked pretty nicely. I manually installed phone and contacts from the link above. Pretty happy with the results.

Just remember i have a personal life too ) DO NOT PM me or post in the thread for feature/mod requests. I will NOT reply to them. (Not because I don't want to, but because they get lost) FYI: Donations motivate me
FORMAT FOR EMAIL:
In the subject, simply type, without the quotes, "WarpDrive feature request: <name of feature here>" then in the message body just put what you want and maybe a link to a thread that you saw or something.

Odex or deodex? Umm I didn't even see how to donate. Does this include the fix you made for the volume to loud warning, or should that be used separately?

Crap... i knew i forgot something. Thank god i didnt upload yet xD Well, thank god it kept failing xD and i'll include it. In the OP i say not to mix mods as things will break and crash.
And to donate, underneath my avatar there should be a donate button. I will add a link to the OP as well.
Ok I modded the SecSettings.apk, just has the S5 Menu enabled. The reason I did this was because I could not find Wifi Calling settings with the one from the international forum. I asked how it was done and I received help from dr.ketan so I decompiled the apk, enabled, and all is good. Many Thanks to him for showing me how to do this! Original thread found here..
DOWNLOADS AND INSTRUCTIONS BELOW!!
The reason for both options is because with the Galaxy S5, there are no S Pen options so it does not display in the settings menu. So if you need that then you have the option with the 2nd link. The settings apk come directly from the official T-Mobile base, its a simple xml edit so there are no force closes or issues, just a different style. Each section below, one for the Deodexed and the one below for Odexed, is set up the same way so the 1st link in each instruction section is for the S5 settings only, and the 2nd link is to have both options available.

Instructions for Deodexed Custom ROMs:
1. Download SecSettings.apk for only S5 Settings or SecSettings.apk that has S5 settings and Standard Note 3 Settings to be able to change SPen Settings
2. Rename Current SecSettings.apk to SecSettings.apk.bak
3. Push modded SecSettings.apk to system/priv-app
4. Set Permissions to rw-r-r
5. Reboot and Profit..
Instructions for ODEX or just Stock Rooted
1. Download SecSettings.apk for only S5 Settings or SecSettings.apk that has S5 settings and Standard Note 3 Settings to be able to change SPen Settings
2. Rename Current SecSettings.apk to SecSettings.apk.bak
3. Push modded SecSettings.apk to system/priv-app
4. Set Permissions to rw-r-r
5. Find SecSettings.odex and rename it to SecSettings.odex.bak
6. Reboot and Profit..

HOW TO:
- decompile SecSeetings.apk
- open bool.xml (res/values)
- find the following lines and make your changes:
Code:
[B] <bool name="settings_list">[COLOR="Red"]false[/COLOR]</bool> [COLOR="Red"]enable/disable stock UI[/B]
[/COLOR] [B] <bool name="settings_grid">[COLOR="red"]true[/COLOR]</bool> [COLOR="red"]enable/disable galaxy s 5 UI[/B][/COLOR]
[B]This current configuration will disable stock and enable the S5. If you do the reverse where its true then false, it brings you back to stock[/B]
Enjoy One or the Other
The settings are for the N900TUVUCNB4 and should work for any other ROM with the same base but it has not been tested, there is a version in the international thread as I said but it does not display the wifi calling so thats why this is posted here.
Give Thanks to:

Thanks! Gonna replace my stock S5 one with this since you fixed it
If you figure out how to make the old Settings app go away please post - I don't understand for the life of me how it still runs and is there if the APK is replaced

I should have clarified, need to be deodexed, if you want to try you most certainly can but definitely make a backup.
Edit* try renaming the SecSettings.odex to SecSettings.odex.bak and it should work if you only rooted the official kit kat

No it does not, you have all the same options, change it to grid view when you can't find something, even that is better than stock but I have all the same options. When in main settings just hit me bottom left soft button next to main button and the option to switch to grid shows up

after doing this mod, I noticed that the data is now 4G instead of 4G LTE.
We will get an official update to the new s5 ui next month according to reliable sources here on xda.

This looks really great. Thank you so much! Is there anyway that we can use that S5 Stock music Player UI as well? Or can we install that S5 music player separately? I am on Deodexed ROM. Thank you!

I got some bug in this...Everytime I click the security setting it stops working.. Is there a fix to this? Very nice mod tho thank you very much
I'm using Cyanogenmod 11. In my \system\priv-app folder, there is "Settings.apk". Do I just replace that?
Also, Do I need to worry about "SettingsProvider.apk" at all? I have no idea what it is..

This is for TouchWiz only I believe. Fairly sure it won't work on CM.

Awhh.. Do you know of anyway to make it work on CM? The only one thing I love about TouchWiz is the settings.
Is there anyone else having this problem?
