Closed Beta for Android 4.4 + Emotion UI 2.3

Hey everyone,
I just receiveed an e-mail from Huawei saying that they are looking for 500 beta testers for Android 4.4 KitKat with Emotion UI 2.3 on their Ascend P6. But since the mail was in German I am not sure if international devices are accepted, so just try for yourself.
Requirements:
Ascend P6 with B125 software
Enter name and IMEI at http://www.huaweidevices.de/beta-tester (the update will be delivered OTA)
Feedback can be supplied to [email protected]. Maybe there is also an English version of this beta. The official update should come early July 2014 (to Germany) and brings the following new features:
more filters for photos
watermark for photos
phone manager: improved performance, energy management & garbage collection
direct unlocking with the correct code (no need to press OK)
new lockscreen and online designs
That's everything I know, I hope you are looking forward to the update

Are they already rolling out the OTA ? I applied but I'm on B507

Not for me :sad: just downgraded all the way from Omni Rom for this :laughing:

Downgraded to b125. Registered already, it says: you will get the update shortly. See what happens.

I think we have to wait a few hours. But im sure, huawei blog will upload the beta firmware sonner or later

When you guys registered, does it also said that you will get the update for your P7? I think its a mistake or?

applied!! when you receive pls warn me!! i will do the downgrade then!

I hope this international beta will have the option to change the default storage to external sdcard. I'm missing this option at this time. Why only CN-rom have this option?

Question:
How can i downgrade from B507 to B125 without WINDOWS PC (I have Mac)

U have to download a separate downgrade file from Huawei ... install via stock recovery and then install b125... , it has been mentioned several times

As I think now, someone somewhere will capture the OTA and release it. And we will be able to install it through stock recovery or maybe even use EMUI's update option. No need to be on 125, it should work from any other version, just not with OTA.

I just signed up now too. Let's hope I get the ota!

is your p6 rooted? coz me i only upgraded mine from b125 to b132 just to get b512 & b513 then eventually i tried the repack versions of those.. more better ! and saves more battery and better camera...

since ur p6 is rooted..
try to install custom recovery like CWM or TWRP .. but for me its more easy to use TWRP..there are easy steps to install twrp just read threads from surde petru Thanks to them...
then there you go! you can install any rom that you want ...
just check and be sure that the roms that ur going to install are stable and compatible version...
im using custom rom coz its more better than the official firmwares,
my firmware version is b635 which is more stable and the battery last long.. here is the thread > http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/development/b635-repack-bbnkk4-4-2-huawei-p6-t2929111 follow the instruction! dont forget to backup ok?

Your link was not working then i read manually to go into the p6 section,,,well i saw a notice mentioned there, you must be on kitkat, but i'm on jelly bean B130, now what?

this Kernel are in B634 /B634 repack
note: update.ZIP not for flash with TWRP recovery..( stock recovery only)

i tried many firmwares to update but cannot be done.

can we get repack for TWRP update?

Just try to upgrade and use B520 - it's better! (Just like B512 and B513... B520 is better than B513)

on my device b513 is better than b520

download from 708 to 512 problem

I want to return from 708 to 512 version and I used the method mentioned in this post :

but with no luck as it keeps fail to update the " P6_Unicom_EMUI2.0 " file.
any help is appreciated

try to flash the b512 boot.img and recovery.img through adb and theb do a force update with the b512 update.app/zip (don't know which format it has)..
maybe this direct way helps..

I update my P6 on b708 and emui 3,0 is great but problem is that font is to small.
I can change font size but not size of menu letters.
i read everything on this forums but still i dont now how to downgrade B708 firm.

I use Kingroot 4.xx to root MT7. Try it.
