[SOLVED] [Q] Error: Insufficient storage available - Sony Xperia M

[Q] Error: Insufficient storage available
I cannot upgrade or install any app that is biger than 6-7mb.
I had 450mb free, and than i uninstalled several big apps. Now i have 722MB free, but still the same.
I am on stock ROM.

I had this problem on my Miro quite often. I found that clearing the apps data helped sometimes, however it didn't work all the time. Also, are you rooted?

I dint change any such option. I have curently 766mb free storage, and cannot install apps. I don't want to move apps to sd card if i have 766mb free storage on my phone, and the app is about 10-20MB. I doesn't make any sense.

have you tried with Lucky Patcher ?
Just install the app and open it; that made the trick for me !

Thanks!!!! It solved my problem. The reason that i was not able to install "bigger" apps was Lucky Patcher.
The problem first occurred when i couldn't update "bigger" apps, and got the error.
I unistalled them and tried to install them again, but the error remained. For some apps, the "smaller" ones that worked and i could install them again. For the "bigger" it didn't work.
I think that the real reason i got the error where patched apps with Lucky Patcher.
Here is how i solved my problem.
I opened Lucky Patcher, and Lucky Patcher said that there is a newer version. I downloaded it, and installed the new version.
After that i closed Lucky Patcher. Opened Play Store....... ans voilĂ . No error message on downloading "bigger" apps.
Thanks again for your help!!!!

Further info, when you apply patches with Lucky Patcher, it creates an .odex file for that app. If you remove the app or try to update it , the .odex file will not be deleted and you'll get that error. Another fix would be unpatching the app before installing/updating or manually removing the .odex file Lucky Patcher created for that app...

[Q] Can't download on Android Market

Hey chaps!
Yesterday, I got me an brand new Xperia Play.
But yesterday evening, I suddenly couldn't download from the android market.
I've tried to clear the cache, removed the updates and installed the whole thing again (I've rebooted after every step).
I tought it was maybe a server error or something like that, but today, I still can't download anything...
The phone got root already and I accidentally removed download.apk from system/apps/
I never remove apps from that folder, so I've moved it to my sd card. When I realised that I was doing it wrong, I placed the apk back and installed it several times...
What can I do now? I really don't want to do a factory reset cause I should have to do everything all over again...
Help me plz!
Greetings,
Sander

EDIT: PLEASE don't keep my old threads alive!
Screenshot isn't showing up for me.
Is it saying you're out of storage space?
Try clearing your market data.
Settings>Apps>Play Store>Clear Data
This will change your market settings back to stock and remove your recent market searches...
But other than that you won't lose anything and it might remedy the situation.

I uploaded the screenshots via my Galaxy Nexus and just noticed it's not showing them.. in market it said: ERROR: "Insufficient storage available", i can install other apps but not the ROM Manager!
I should clear market data and cache but I'm not sure does it help because it just can't install this one application and I have 6 GB free memory, I gonna clear market data and then I try to install it again.
But Thanks anyway for the reply!..
Edit: now I see the screenshots, sometimes it takes time to show them, I don't know why..
and still it doesn't install it.. little bit weird..
People who get this specific error don't deserve the answer.

Well... Clear up some memory and try again...
You can use "Clean Master" for that.
Another option...
There is another option, though it may be frowned upon by some here.
There is an app called lucky patcher, I found it while trying to find a solution to this problem some time back (300mb of space on device, not SD card and I still couldn't install a 1mb app). You won't find it in the play store though so you will need to google it, that has a fix for that issue. Under the app's settings there's a troubleshooting option. In that menu there is an option to fix the no space bug (Just read, under each option it has a description). It's worked for me on sense 4 roms as well as sense 5 roms. This is the only reason I keep this app lying around.
Hope this works for you and I don't run into any trouble for suggesting this...

Problems installing modded google play

I think I've tried everything to install the modded version of google play.
-Opening the .apk directly in file browser gives me an immediate fail or a "free some more space" warning (I have the 32gb One and huge amounts of space)
-Running through lucky patcher doesn't do anything. It just completes and there's no change. I've run it patched to android, unpatched to android, no difference.
-Running "install cracked google play" app immediately restarts the phone, no change.
-Flashing a .zip file does nothing.
-Factory reset, install everything from scratch, reboot, no change.
Even if I replace Phonesky.apk in system directory with a modded version, it STILL reverts back to 3.10.9 on a reboot. I've tried so many different versions, nothing makes any difference.
Seriously need some help from the experts. I'm running jelly bean 4.2 on AT&T.

Still get the "not enough free space" error. I've cleared the cache everywhere, too. Not sure what else to do.

Maybe you should ask in the AT&T forum. We don't have many people unlocked here on Verizon yet to get advice from on getting it to work with our device.

Have you tried Lucky Patcher? It automaticly removes left over files on startup which will cause this error.

I was facing same problem. I uninstalled all unecessary system apps like HTC Zoe,kid mode(consumes lot),music(Google one, coz I like HTC music),and all bloatware installed by Google .Delete whichever you want. But don't delete the app services. Since you are rooted, use system root uninstaller(I don't rember proper me ,but it has red icon with white dustbin). Don't forget to delete the apps from recycle bin after uninstalling the apps. If you don't delete the apps from recycle bin, they will automatically get installed after reebot. Hit thakms if it worked

I want to delete useless apps but I don't know which ones are totally harmless to delete it for the phone. Can you give names of apps that could delete safely?
Also, how can you delete from recycle bin?
