Hi all,
I'd like to show wifi status not as numbers but as off / on / enabled
State in numbers being as per:
#NWSTATE# WiFi State (0 disabled, 1 enabled, 2 connected)
So far I've manage to code as follows for off or on:
Wifi $#NWSTATE#=0?disabled:enabled$
how do I modify the code to show the 3rd state of connected please?
Try this
$#NWSTATE#=0?off$$#NWSTATE#=1?on$$#NWSTATE#=2?connected$

Hi,
I am facing a typical problem that during every call if I swipe the middle white phone icon to the left to disconnect call, of does not work. I tried it multiple times. Can someone please suggest if I am doing it improperly.
Thanks for your time.

Um. If you're talking about the big red bar with the phone icon all you do is press it.

Thanks for your reply.
I just tried to make a call from another phone to my GNex to verify and my phone is coming as Switched off. Whereas my Gnex is ON and I am able to make phone calls from it to others, but unable to receive any.
Does anyone reported similar issues?
I don't understand your problem. Your first post says you are unable to decline incoming calls. The second post says you can't receive any calls. Which one is it?

I was just doing some tests to decline incoming calls and found the second issue. Below are the problems I am facing -
1. I am unable to decline / disconnect any incoming call. If I swipe the white middle call icon to left the phone vibrates but do not disconnect the call.
2. If phone screen is off for more than 1 hours (appx.) then I think phone goes into deep sleep mode. If I try calling my gnex from other mobile then a switched off message comes. This problem is fixed once I make a dummy call / send any message to other phone.
My phone is not rooted. I would appreciate the feedbacks.
Nvm, misread

NP.
I was just searching the forums but could not any similar thread on these problems. Am I doing something wrong or is it a phone H/W issue?
I've never heard of it before. If you're on stock rom the only thing to try could be a hard reset and if that doesn't help manually reflash factory images. If all fails, I'd return the phone.

Thanks again for your response.
I have few apps purchased, so will these be removed once I hard reset my phone? Is there any way to get them back without purchasing again.

Google play will remember the purchases. They are tied to your Google account. After you login with your Google account you can download them again without charge. Even on a different phone.

I did a hard reset of my gnex. The call disconnect bug got fixed automatically but not the other one (problem# 2). My phone is still coming as switched off at times.
Anything else I can do to fix it.

I'd try:
1) unlock bootloader (if you haven't done this already)
2) backup /sdcard
3) flash stock JB images: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

Good luck, and I obviously got steps 1 and 2 mixed up: first backup /sdcard, because unlocking your bootloader will wipe it.
I am not sure if it is bug but here is what I observed in past 6 hours.
There is network issue with gnex (phone is coming switched off intermittently) when Mobile networks -> Data Enable flag is NOT checked.
But when data network link is enabled there is no issue with my phone and it works without issues or disconnects.
I have still not rooted / flashed the phone.

NP, I can understand.
Notification Pulldown displays "No Service" instead of "Sprint" on every ROM I run
No matter what I've tried I cannot get it to display "Sprint" in the notification drawer or on the lockscreen. I've tried both ICS and JB ROMs. I've even unrooted and relocked my bootloader with no luck. If anyone has any idea how to fix it this it would be greatly appreciated.

I have data roaming enabled. I'm at home using an Airrave. But even when I leave my house it says the same.

You didn't by chance flash a GSM baseband did you? If so that is your problem.
It's a jb feature. Whenever the phone is disconnected from the Internet, the no service message overrides the operator name

Yup, if you don't have data on you and you have this problem. It's nothing for you to worry about.
However, if you do have data (mobile data) on and you're still experiencing this, then it's a problem.

I do have data on and its still says no service. I'm not on a gsm baseband. And I said this happens on both jelly bean ICS ROMs.

Yes it is possible. Icons auto update for the various connection types
As many of you know, since the 4.3 update, WiFi on the galaxy nexus stops automatically scanning after going into deep sleep. The only way to get it to scan again is to go into the WiFi menu or toggle it on and off. Let's try to find which change in 4.3 broke this on the galaxy nexus.
I have been looking through the changes that have been made between 4.2 and 4.3 to how wifi is handled and may have found what is causing the issue.
I think I may have found something. In /system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant_overlay.conf
Theres a line:
disable_scan_offload=1 (has to do with allowing scanning to be offloaded to the driver)
This line didn't exist in 4.2.2. Change it to 0 and reboot and see if your wifi scanning doesn't stop working after a while.
I just ran an errand and it connected perfect when I got home which is usually when it stops working. I need further testing but would appreciate some more testers to see if there's a real change in behavior.

No its not fixed in 4.3.1. I am on cm10.2 4.3.1 and without this modification it definitely stopped scanning today.

Would it be possible to find a fix for the data hand off issue using the same thought process? A simple edit to a text file and problem solved? Wouldn't that be nice!

Unfortunately I had it stop scanning yesterday. I gotta look more deeply.
I don't quite understand what you mean by this. Are you saying that if you go into deep sleep WiFi just stops working or something?
Are you by chance thinking of this?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42665427&postcount=2459
Also in WiFi settings on 4.3 there are more options there than there was with 4.2, just try looking through them, I believe there's even ones for battery savings or something. Also is a setting to allow WiFi to turn itself on to get a more accurate location automatically or something, among other things.
