For 2 weeks I've getting a huge battery drain. It got so bad that when I make calls the battery gets very hot. Why is this happening? What app can I download to find out which apps are using up my battery the most?
Please use BetterBatteryStats.
What is your android version ?

Plug phone and let it charge to 100%, unplug it. Once it hits to a low percent open app and check around. Check kernel wakeups, CPU States. You will see if an app doesn't that your phone go to deep sleep.

Hi,
I am looking for an App that tells the battery drain in mv..
e.g at 100% batyery is at 4100 mv and at 75% is at 3600 mv...
So there must be some application that tells the drainage in reall time. So that we figure out impact of freezing applications..
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated...

Just use BetterBatteryStats first to see which app/service is the rogue one.

Hi, I recommend you to try Battery Monitor Widget
PHP:
https://market.android.com/details?id=ccc71.bmw&hl=en
It's possible to monitor various battery stats without the widget too, just check the options. (No, I'am not the developer, or someone related to)

The phone app is eating more battery than my screen. At night, it eats away 25% of my battery. Anyone else have this problem? Stock, no root.

Same problem here! I don't know why the phone app is draining my battery in stand-by mode.
I find using the phone drains the battery. I try my best not to pick it up, but I have no control. Can anyone help please?
Used to, but not anymore

Same Problem-Help
I also have the same problem....
I have installed Cpy Spy and it shows it does not go too deep sleep......
Hello, I've got this problem a few days ago, where my phone randomly discharges up to 50 % just an hour without me using it, no apps running, ram cleared and only WiFi on. It seems to happen at 5-9pm and at that time, I'm at home and I only have WiFi and power saving mode enabled. I have turned mobile data off every time that I was able to connect to a WiFi network. I have only had mobile networks on for like 1 hour or so today.
Thanks, Andreas.
I recommend downloading better battery stats to find out what's draining your battery.

And if you like it.....you can always support the Dev and buy it
So i was trying to play a 3D game and noticed it was being very laggy, so I checked my task manager and this is what I found.
Sometimes the cpu usage on SystemUI went up to 14% for no reason.
Also, google maps has been waking up my phone a lot recently. I keep seeing it in my battery usage as stay awake for 35 minutes or so. I don't have Google now on so idk why that's happening.
I'm on stock non rooted MB1. Can someone please help?

You should just root your phone put a stock rom on it and overclock the kernel past 1.25. Or you can try installing betterbatterystats and seeing whats directly causing the problem.

Or GSam Battery Monitor.
What is Power Manager Service and deleted wake locks that is keeping my phone awake. Running KT747 Linux 3.4 Jellybean 4.2 4/19 build.
It also says Google Maps kept my phone awake for over an hour and messaging kept my phone awake for 3+ hrs too..
I only got 23hrs on a charge on my extended battery. What's going on!!??

In maps, you can go into settings/locations, and uncheck all that stuff that lets google monitor your location while you're phone sleeps, this resolved my maps wake lock issue, not sure about the SMS one.

Tap the little orange icon to the right. It will take you to the browser and explain what power manager is. It's likely due to push notifications. You can check what's doing this under partial wakelocks.

Do you have active monitoring enabled in better battery stats? When I had that turned on, that was giving me the most wakelocks due to power manager service.

How ironic would it be if Better Battery Stats was the cause of worse battery life lol... but anyways I did what Luigi suggested and got this:

BBS doesn't consume much battery at all compared to others, unless of course if you have the app actively monitoring but the option should be Unchecked by default.
Also, as the page to the link states, in order to resolve any of the wakelocks causing the PowerManagerService issue you must "Use "Partial Wakelocks" to drill down the applications / services causing wakelocks".
