Well you might want to hang on to it for a few days and try out the new builds I have going. With some help from sleshepic I am now on a roll and pumping out a few new things. This one (mahdi) is fully working and I am building a fully working beanstalk atm. Then on to Chaos and then baked KK.
Also unlike most 4.4 KK roms this one (mahdi) has a much louder speaker volume both external and on calls. I am trying to find the exactly what the modifications are so I can add them into all my builds. That way users wont need any add-ons to boost the volume.
Jlmancuso I found the ROM but which gapps should I use? Just want to make sure I use the right one

I will link a few a 4.4 core gapps along with slims gapps. Although any current 4.4 version should be fine.
Does this one has BT working for music call and car?
I don't have that Philz version which may break some ROM if not follow new chats from Philz.

Dont have any bluetooth besides another phone so I am not sure. It will do beam which uses nfc and bluetooth transfer so that is all I can say. I do have another user testing those features atm but could use another.
I am posting link in OP to philz goo.im downloads. It will take you directly to our device so there will be no confusion in that area. All his builds will work with 4.4 but only 6.07.09 will work with all android versions.

Something in the source is broken. Tomorrow I will be digging into this and beanstalk. The thing is when working for current sources they are not always 100% usable. Until a stable release is made everything is like a nightly. Things get changed and some changes are not complete. I just have to mix and match different sources or fix the code myself. Since I am just a novice it takes me longer.
You might want to try my ose build. It looks to be fairly bug free so far.

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I uploaded a completely stock/rooted Telus TLUMC4 build. I received a lot of positive responses in regards to the build (thank you everyone) and I had a request from @Rushing to create one for the TMobile UVMC6 release. After searching through the threads I was only able to find the Odin flashable version of the update and slightly tweaked/modded variants. So, I decided to make one and share with everyone here in the community.
This is the official TMobile T989UVMC6 firmware downloaded from the SamMobile website. I have rooted, installed busybox, zipaligned and deodexed.
I don't intend to add any additional tweaks/mods to this ROM. It is meant strictly for people that want the official UVMC6 release but don't want to have to flash via odin and reroot.
Also, if any dev's or chefs want to use this as a base for their ROM please feel free to do so, you do not need to PM me to ask for permission. However, I do ask if you choose to use this base in your ROM please give me a thanks/thumbs up in the OP.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (If followed exactly as below you should not have any issues)
- You must be rooted and have TWRP 2.4.4.0 custom recovery installed
- Download and place the Infamous Cache Wipe and Infamous Super Wipe scripts from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2235141 on either your internal or external SD Card. This will be needed for later. Thanks to @Jamison904 @thederekjay and Team Infamous for this fantastic tool.
- Reboot into TWRP 2.4.4.0 recovery and create a nandroid backup (Always do this step before flashing any ROM)
- Go to Wipe, Advanced Wipe and select Data, System,Cache and Dalvik (then swipe to wipe)
- Press the home button and select the Infamous Super Wipe Script
- Click on add another zip file and choose Infamous Cache Wipe
- Click on add another zip file and choose TMobileT989UVMC6RootedDeodexed.zip
- Swipe to install all 3 files
- Reboot (First boot may take approx 5mins, be patient)
- Wait 10mins after first boot and allow phone to sit (do not log into your account)
- Reboot again and setup your account
- Enjoy

What issues are you having? I am running the Telus version ATM on my S2 and I was able to add my Google Account and Google Play works without issue.
I've had others report back on this ROM and all seems to be working well on their end. What is giving you issues?
Any way to get tethering working in the stock ROM

ROM downloaded fine... Checked md5 on PC and then on my phone SD card... They matched perfectly fine.
Everything works apart from :
1. No Google account in accounts in settings... I couldn't add my Google account...
2.Location is not working in apps
3. Play store is there in system/apps but with unidentified icon (like a permission problem?).. But no icon in app drawer... Tried deleting this apk and adding one and fixing permission, after reboot it was there but closes as soon as it opens..
I'm using cwm 6.0.3.1 from sk8 and did full wipe for everything before flashing.. By the way tried to do everything twice and same result.. I'm not new to the flashing business lol ..
I'm using at&t unlocked skyrocket on T-Mobile...

I know how a bad download or bad flash would look like... It's very unlikely that a bad download would run perfectly fine and just no Google account to be added..

I didn't change anything from the stock T989 UVMC6 firmware downloaded from Sam Mobile. This is the exact same release you would get when you flash/update via Samsung Kies. All I did was root it, installed busybox, zipaligned and deodexed. Nothing was added or removed from the official firmware.
I am not familiar with what needs to be done in order to get the Skyrocket (i727) to work with Hercules (T989) ROMs. I am thinking maybe there is some conflict there. The official Firmware for the Skyrocket would be I727UCMC1. I could create a rooted, busybox, zipaligned and deodexed version of the I727UCMC1 for you to test out and see if that works for you instead, since it would be specific to your device.
I would also suggest to run the Infamous super wipe and infamous cache wipe (as per the OP) and then try and reinstall this ROM again.
There shouldn't be an issue with the ROM itself since nothing was tweaked/removed from official release. There looks to be some type of conflict though with your device and the stock UVMC6 firmware.
Let me know if you are interested in the UCMC1 i727 version. I can create one for you and PM the link to you to try. Let me know.
Thanks chochiwpg so much., I didn't mean your ROM has problems and I'm sure it's not packaging and or a zip problem, but wondered if T-Mobile/Samsung removed the ability to add a Google account, heard sometime ago that some people had play store issues with the official kies update...
I'm currently using my skyrocket with T-Mobile... And now I'm on UCMC1 deodexed from mohan so I'm already on stock att jb , thanks.. I wanted to try the stock T-Mobile jb thinking it would give me better performance with T-Mobile but I guess I'll stick with ucmc1 ROM and it's radio which gives me LTE...(For some reason I noticed the uvmc6 is a hair smoother than ucmc1)..
Thanks op again...

Yes you need to do a data wipe after you install the rom but before you reboot.
Props to scott for getting this out so fast, unlike normal for me, I'm going to stay off the cutting edge for a bit and hang out in the stable CM10.1 world a bit longer (now that the working RIL blobs are back )

Edit1: redownloaded, still not working, same error

Yes you will need the vzw note 10.1, that's why the assert is failing. Its a fail safe so a rom isn't flashed on a device its not meant for.

So far this is so much faster than stock ROM. I'm still testing if 4g is any weaker.
Thanks so much for this work. Its like having a brand new tablet with latest and greatest!

Since there isn't a stock image for the device, would a cwm backup be suitable in rolling back should I experience any issues?

Yes, cwm will restore your saved backup.
But so far, I'm not sure I will need to. This is blazingly faster..

Awesome, thanks for the replies. Flashed this morning and I'm now setting everything up. So far I'm loving it though. Quick boot times and overall it feels a lot leaner. Thanks for the rom and the support. Been following you since the fascinate days.
*Edit* Ran into a redraw issue or something with TouchdownHD. I posted a video at http://youtu.be/dz5gzv6Sdco is there a setting available that might fix this? I've tried re-installing the application and I still get the same issue.
This rom is just like lightning...thanks sbrissen!

Quick question, can this be installed on the 8013, is there any way for you to make for it. Anyway thanks for making great roms for our devices.

You could try what I did and unzip, swap metainf folder from 8013 installer go through the build.prop file with notepad ++ and change tablet type from Verizon to n8013 and see what happens! Good luck

Google Experience Launcher and transparent notification bar are included with PA gapps.
If you have problems with sdcard mount r/w,flash the hotfix.

So I flashed the rom, and all of the additional zips (modem, and pa gapps) and everything seems to be working perfectly, except for the SD card, which it currently is not reading for some reason. Outside of that everything else seems to be working and I'll add any additional comments if something isn't working.
Just to clarify the SD card bug is external right? Just wanna make sure I can restore thanx again oblikas I never doubted u u got skills man lol

I can confirm that the external SD is inaccessible from the ROM. Rear facing camera is maxing out at 8 MP. Focal crashes after taking a photo with the front camera, stock camera app works fine. Overall very smooth, though.
Excellent work, as always @oblikas!
Do you need to flash madmacks modem?
@oblikas thanks again. You and the other devs keep this device going.
great going #Oblikas
Thanks!

Hi,
Any screenshots will be of help. How is the rom performing. Is it stable enough to use as a daily driver until the nightly come out.

Screenshots won't tell you very much. Kit Kat looks very much like Jelly Bean. White status bar icons on a transparent status bar is about as different as it looks. There are plenty of screenshots of the new Google Experience Launcher for you to check out.
As far as stability goes, it's a little early to say. I've only been running it a few hours. There are a few little issues that @oblikas is aware of (external SD, Camera capped at 8MP) but otherwise it's very functional. It's extremely smooth and boots really quickly.
EDIT:
WiFi Hotspot is working-very well I might add. Using it to download the OTA for my N7.
This does not intsall on E988. It gives error during installation in recovery.

Because I made it for e980.
You take the risk for a brick or something like that.
Open updater script with notepad++ and remove assert lines.
ROM is fast and stable.. So far running for 5 hours I have only 2 FC playstore and gallery apps.. Way to go Oblikas..

Been running this for 10+ hours with only problem being exterior sd card. Better battery stats won't work for me either but everything else is running fine. No lte but 3g works flawlessly. This is a great first build and everyone should be impressed. Thanks oblikas, glad u are here with us.

Going to try this tonight. Just wondering, did anyone successfully run this on a non AT&T model? Mine's the Israeli E989, But i'll do a nandroid and try anyway.
Tried a few times, but was unable to install this on my E980. Using TWRP for our devices, I get the error messages "Error executing updater binary in zip..." & "Error flashing zip..." Was previously using madmack's CM 10.2, had no problems flashing back to it. Any idea what might have caused this?
Have you ever wondered how you Note 2 would run with a nice clean version of aosp? While there are many n2 roms that claim to be aosp very few really are. Most are based off of cm (cyanogenmod) which is not pure aosp. What make Evervolv different? It has been based on pure aosp (google source) and is a nice no frills rom which saves battery and makes it super stable. Give it a run and see what aosp is all about.
Now I am not part of Evervolv and they do not support the Note 2 so if you have any problems please post them here for me to address. If you like what Evervolv has done then please go to them and thank them since they did all the hard work.

Known Issues:
Screen off reboot -- To prevent this just turn on wifi once and after that you can run wifi off/on and wont have any issue
Keyboard no showing -- Open settings go to languages and input.. current keyboard.. and enable hardware keyboard option
GPS -- The gps sensor does not work.. You can flash the gps fix in the 3rd post to gain gps

I tried twice, but installation fails. The error message says something about not being able to update binary. I wish i would've wrote it down, but i restored my backup right away. I can try flashing it again when i get home later tonight.

Yes I got that same message while trying to flash with TWRP 2.8.0.0 I found here. ( https://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/l900/ )
I tried TWRP with no success and went back to my usual philz_touch_6.07.9-l900 which is what I always use. It gives me the Android boot screen and then loops back to the Samsung screen. I can't even get in to get a logcat because in C:adb/adb_devices it shows no devices while in that loop. I don't know how far back the logcat goes in the system but I did a test log once I restored the Community ROM to see if that helps. I have no problem with other 5.x.x ROMs so I am assuming that's not it.

Would anyone be able to share the GPS fix on drop box or another mirror? None of the mirrors on the original link have been working for me for the last 4 days.
