HTC One in Silver - Recommend me a case - One (M7) Accessories

Hi there,
I've bought the HTC One in Silver and now I need a case for it. The two cases that look best to me are below.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Incipio-Feather-Shine-Protective-Case/dp/B00BJH1FMU
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Incipio-Feather-Shine-Protective-Case/dp/B00BJH1HBO

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Case-mate-Barely-There-Case-HTC/dp/B00BFCMEJM
Please advise which one would go best with the Silver version of the HTC One.
On a general perspective, if you had a Black phone you'd get a Black case and Silver phone you'd get a Silver case, right?
I had the Nexus 4 and I used the Ringke Fusion case with it. The best thing about that case is that I could lay it flat down on it's face it had a lip to protect the front of the phone.
Please recommend me a Slim case for my Silver HTC One, that has a bit of a lip to protect the front when I lay it flat on it's face.
Thank you!

Can anyone tell me that has had both which build is better? Easy to take off, put on and has a good lip for front screen protection when faced down.

I'd recommend you this case. I have a white (transparent) one and it's amazing, it adds no bulk at all in your One and you can see it's beautiful body.
It won't be as tough as a Otterbox, but it has a lip in the front so the screen doesn't touch surfaces.
I bought 3 of them because after 3 months using the phone you can see it a little dirty and I like my phone to be perfect.

Case that protects the screen

Hi everyone
I've been looking online for ages now, with no avail!
Does anyone know of/have a good case that protects the front of the S3 when placed face down?
So it has a bezel that sticks out further than the phones screen so if it's dropped, it lands on the case rather than the glass.
Thank you!
Niall
Many of the TPU cases (Diztronic and Cimo are two I own) have the added lip so when you have your S3 face down, the case makes contact with the surface not the screen.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...diztronic+galaxy+s3&sprefix=diztronic,aps,598
they have clear (i own this one), black, and pebble blue.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008CNHRIA/
I bought that back before i got GIANT 4200MaH Hyperion battery, and it is great.. if you want a silicone (feels more like rubber.) case.
It gave me the grip i was lacking, and had a generous lip for screen protection. (and is nice and cheap.)
I 'm using this one.

Rock Quicksand Case Question

I currently have a genuine HTC 700 clear case, but quite like the look and gripabity of the Rock Quicksand Case.
What I would like to know is, does the case form a lip near the screen edge or does it sit below or flush?
and
Does it protect the camera lens?
Thanks in advance.
Winny
Hi, I've got one of those cases and there is a noticeable lip around the edge of the case, it doesn't sit flush. It's not however what I would call a bulky case. The Camera is recessed inside the case so it will protect it somewhat when being put on tables etc. Personally I like the matt grippy texture of the case and they go well with the one x. Ciao

I have 2 Rock case, One black and one quicksand, they are VERY TIGHT fit, but they do not goes all around the device (top and bottom is less covered) but all corner are still well protected
I have modified the black one to fit inside my HTC dock so that it still charge the phone, it is a bit less stable than the HTC case when inserted in the dock but this does work...
The reason why I like those case better than the HTC is that they cover the camera and also provide rigidity from edge to edge... haven't used the quicksand much but this material is nice to hold in the hand. I have the international version not sure how they fit to the XL...
Seem to me that our phone was designed with the assumption we would be using a case...

I have ordered white SGP Ultra Thin Air Series case which is similar designed as Rock IMO but want to have an alternative if I wouldn't like it. Awaiting photos, thanks in advance :good:
Of course there are some pros and cons according to me and would like to know how is the Rock in comparison with SGP. The main negative point of Rock is that does not offer white color, and the positive one is that I love matte surfaces Below are my thoughts about SGP, when receive the case will finalize them.
Pros
Thin and solid design
Comes with a screen protector which does not cover the whole screen
Cons
Glossy surface, I prefer the matte
Does not protect the screen when device lays on the screen
There is a little protection of camera lens as I saw in users videos
?
Design for speakers could lower the noise but also may protect from outside impacts

To me, this is a major negative as I would like total protection.
Cons

Again, this is a negative as it would interfere with complete screen swiping!

For screen protector I wanted to cover the whole screen but do not want to spend about $15 more for just a screen protector. If I am not satisfied with the SGP's one may consider another And for the screen protection from the case, again I agree with you but then case would be more visible IMO. I am coming from full body cover, therefore search for the case that adds minimum bulk and protects the most but it is impossible I think So, we are not totally different but choices could vary

* could do to be a bit more grippy tho

HTC One Case Review - Two different

I just want to share my experince from two different but similar cases for the HTC One.
This is what I was looking for
Cover to prevent scratches in metal/color
As little annoying as possible
Elegancy
A lid to cover screen while inside my pocket
So I ordered two different kinds and colors.
The first one to arrive
Poetic FlipBook Case for HTC One M7 White
Price: £16.95 (sale, normal £29.95)
From: Amazon (LINK)
The second to arrive
Ultra Slim PU Leather Flip Case Hybrid Translucent Plastic Cover for HTC One M7 ES-K (M7-ES-K)
Price: US$6.49
From: Spider-Foot.com (LINK)
I've been using the white Potetic FlipBook for about 2 weeks now and can say it's really neat and quite good to hold it in my hand. The backside has a hard plastic material with a little touch of rubber, but its still hard. This rubbery surface gives it a good grip and you can tell the quality of the plastic is great. Its not that hard kind of plastic that easily cracks.
The downside is it easily gets a bit dirty from daily use because of the surface material, and the bottom edge of the lid has gotten a bit soft and "flaggy", but not much.
Im happy with the lid because it's quite heavy and therefore closes easily with a small clunk. It also covers like 1 mm outside the screen and therefore it becomes easy to flip it open with your thumb.
Now, the other one. It's black or a dark tone of grey, which suits my black HTC One.
This case arrived today and after the first fitting i could really feel the cheaper quality of the plastic. It's bendable but on a longterm this will not hold as long as the Poetic's plastic. It also covers all the frame sides of the phone whilst the Poetic case only covered the corners. The framing makes it also a bit difficult to use the volume control, the buttons becomes a bit submerged.
The lid has a really nice microfiber surface which makes the screen clean from spotts. And it has an opening for the speaker that lets you hear when the lid is closed during a call. On the downside, the lid is a bit loose and therefore it doesnt cover all the way across the screen. It kind of slides back because the attachment is a bit stiff, and it doesnt want to close completely by its own weight. But that can maybe loosen up after being used for a while.
My favourite
Poetic FlipBook Case for HTC One M7 White
It's quite expensive but really worth it considering I will use it everyday for a long time.
You can also get it in different colors.
But if you don't want to spend so much and the casing is just for protection rather than look and feeling, you should go for the second one. It's more luxurious than other cheap cases.

Best Case/Cover/Shell

Just want to know from you guys experience.
Who makes the best cases/covers/shells for samsung?
And if any of you are using cases/shells/covers, which are you using? Would you recomend?
What are your experiences?
I'm not really a fan of the flipcases
Thanks
If you are on a high budget, you could look at the Impact-absorbing Tech21 cases.
Those are of high build quality.
I recently got a casemate tough case for my sgs4 mini and I am very pleased with it, both handling-wise and in terms of general ruggedness.
Did anyone get a screen protector? I loved the exim ultraprotect on my old nokia, but the s4 mini is my first phone with a capacitive touch screen and I am unsure if a screen protector will hurt its responsiveness.
I got a screen protector applied the moment I unpackaged my phone at the shop. They applied a Screenguard branded clear (non-matte) screen protector and responsiveness hasn't been an issue in the 4 weeks I've had the phone.
This screen protector ($4) is a fingerprint magnet though, but it has perfect cut-outs for the light, proximity sensors and front - facing camera as well as the home button.
Case
I just bought a Belkin case named "Grip Sheer Matte" in a blackish-brownish transparent tone for the black S4m (ha! SAM!).
It was 12€ in an electronics store here in .de but you can probably get it cheaper online (see link).
I like the soft and smooth feel. The case fits quite good and protects the back and all edges. The ports and buttons are accessible and the holes on the back for camera and speaker are in the right places.
Cheers,
CS
I bought the original Samsung Flip Cover with view... I think its the best but it was not cheap.
Just got a Samsung Flip Cover without view (which replaces the back cover). After using a ROCK flip case, a MERCURY Fancy Diary flip case and a simple metallic-red non-flip case, the Samsung Flip Cover seems to do its job best. The cover is heavy enough to hold itself down when the phone is facing up, and folds behind nicely such that it is comfortable to hold.
What's the point of having such a small metal bumper? In case of a drop it won't absorb any energy ...
Its probably to protect the original metal rim against scratches and bumps. Good for maintaining the resale value! (The screen protector will protect the front, and the back cover is replaceable)
damn.. i want those pretty and sturdy cases from otterbox, uag, spigen etc
Does the S-View cover also protect the edges?
After almost 2 months I notice that I already have a couple of bumps right on the edge of the screen. I don't want to buy a thick shell since I bought the Mini exactly because of the sleaziness and the S-view looks quite nice..

No. The S-View cover replaces your back cover of the phone. Thus it only protects the back. The sides are exposed except for the left side of the phone where the cover flips over the phone.

For me the ideal would be a bumper, so that the edges are protected and I'm not carrying around a brick. I'll keep on duckduckgoing and see what I can find..
I've been looking for a decent rubber bumper as well. I've only seen a metal one with a weird branding on the side. Do post here if you manage to find one!

I found this one here, http://www.mobilefun.com/40209-flexiframe-samsung-galaxy-s4-mini-bumper-case---black-clear.htm but I might actually get an official samsung case, it looks quite nice: http://www.samsung.com/se/consumer/mobil/mobil/mobiltillbehor/EF-PI919BNEGWW-gallery?subsubtype=bags

Will a rubber bumper protect against a drop (say, from table height)? Will the S-view cover protect against a drop?
I wouldn't be bothered by scratch or bumps on the plastic housing. Mainly looking for protection against the screen/digitizer/glass breaking from a fall.
I bought this one.
Fits tightly around the S4 mini and does not add any bulk. The phone still looks very slim and small. Material is of good scratch resistance but probably not a real bumper. It's slightly transparent, so the Samsung logo and the silver pattern of the back cover shines through a bit. Really looks good.

I just received the same case and it is better than expected. Took less than a week from Germany to UK and less than 10 GBP Inc postage.
This case is so small and thin that it doesn't alter the feel of the phone apart from the texture. It'sthin enough to fit in my S2 desktop charger/dock and also my windscreen mount with the case on.
I ordered the following in blue/black. It looks somewhat...different! I hope it's not too much when I put it on the phone. It came to six euros which is reasonable. I'll post my impressions when it arrives.

[User Review] Rearth Ringke Slim for Moto G (White)

Case name/model: Rearth Ringke Slim for Moto G (in white)
Case type: Slim, hard plastic 1 piece snap on
Needs/Niche for case: I wanted a temporary non-bulky case for my new Moto G before I decide between the official moto g bumper shell covers (out ~mid jan?) or a more robust solution like Otterbox.
Cost: G~$10 with free shipping + a decent (dry apply) screen protector included (1 count) from Amazon.
Pros:
- Case fits the Moto G like a second skin, very lightweight you barely notice it there.
- Well-made, I noticed some molding seams on the outside (faint) but none on the inside of the case - all smooth.
- All the ports (see photos below) and buttons are exposed clearly and I was able to charge and use headphones without any obstruction.
- There's 1-2? mm of clearance off the surface because of the lip of the case, so your screen isn't touching whatever surface you've put your phone face-down on.
Cons:
- While the case is easy to slide on, it was very difficult for me to take it off when I was a) worried about scratching the phone while doing it and b) worried about snapping some of the plastic off. There's no instructions included as to the proper way to slide it off, there's a video for the same model showing how to take it off from Rearth (must be a common issue) but it's for a different phone with different cutouts in the case.
- 50% of the corners are exposed (probably to allow you to uncase the phone more easily). This is the biggest con for me because in phone drops it's usually corner drops that cause screen shatter.
- It's entirely made out of hard plastic, no softer material or rubberization coating on the inside. However the case is a very snug fit so I doubt the phone would get scratched up from any sliding within the case.
Conclusion: For $10 it's a very well-made, high quality case. It feels durable (plastic doesn't feel like it's going to snap when I'm trying to pry it off) and it looks great. If all you want is scratch protection for the sides and back this will do the job and feel like next to nothing and look beautiful. If you're like me and drop your phone on occasion, you'll probably want to invest in a case that covers the corners more completely.

Thanks for your review, I should hopefully be getting mine soon from the US (dispatched on boxing day to the UK). Its a black one so ill add some pics and a lil review too.
Thanks for the post, i have one being shipped to me too (also in UK)
I went for black, but the white does look cool :good:
After having used it for a few days, I have to say that I really like it, and if I wasn't so accident-prone it would probably be the case I would be using on a daily basis. As it is, it's the case I'll be using until the Moto G official bumper shells come out.
I think you'll be pleased with it, it really is a very nice premium-feeling case.
I got the black version and its basically the same material as the back of the new nexus 5. Its a soft touch plastic that has a real premium feel. Its obviously a premium price at 9.99£ but well worth it IMO. I'll report back with durability testa

Thanks for the review! I have the black one also, but I just ordered a white one because of its colour. After using it, does any colours rub on to the white? i.e does it get dirty quicky?
I agree with the cons of your review. I also have a Rearth Ringke Slim for my Moto G, except mines is black. Although, I find it hard to remove the case and it feels like I have to break the case and/or the back cover to get it off. I find the back cover's lip actually seems to be the reason why it is so hard to remove the case.

I usually carry it in a bag or in my inside coat pocket (the wallet? pocket inside the actual front of a coat), so I haven't seen if anything like denim would transfer. From regular use though it's still pristine, I haven't wiped it down because I don't see fingerprints on it or any visible dirt.
Thanks for your review. I ordered black one today.
Ordered the white version today, will post a review when it comes in.
