[Q] Does BusyBox need to stay installed after root? - Sony Xperia M

Greets, now that I have finally been able to full-root my XperiaM, I would like to know if BusyBox needs to stay installed in order to "keep" the full root or can it be uninstalled or at least frozen with Titanium Backup. (I am trying to cut down on all the icons in my apps tray).
I know that BusyBox was needed in order for the Anto Kus Tool to do it's magic but now I don't know if it is still needed.... Cheers

It is needed. So don't uninstall it

Thanks. So I won't uninstall it but it can't be frozen with TitaniumBackup either?

The icon you have at your launcher is an installer, so, you probably downloaded it, asked it to install busybox and did the full root. You can safely remove that app, by doing that you're removing the installer only, busybox binary (which is needed by most of the root apps) will stay installed...

Root issue

I have my arc rooted . But I dont know 4 sure that I did it will.
Some apps are not working coz no root access in the other hand I can remove sys apps.
So what is the problem ?.

In the superuser app, you can see, which apps get a root access.
How did you root your device?
In superuser only root uninstaller app .
And titanium is not working.
I did the root through flashtool

I've had a similar problem when I've first flashed DooMKernel and Acronium ROM. I've fixed this problem with flashing both again.

Busybox

What is busybox? I know it helps some root apps run but here's my dilemma. I installed busybox for this root app. But then I decided I don't need it so I tried to uninstall it but the uninstall failed. Should I just let it be? Or should I take more measures to remove it? Will it ever get in the way?
Edit: The uninstall fail made the device unstable so i reflashed rom.

It hasn't ever gotten in the way for me, i would just let it be i don't think it will interfere with anything.
Busybox is a set of Unix tools I believe

[Q] Root issue?

I'm on 4.1.2. I rooted my device with framaroot, installed busybox, run rootfix, done everything the guide told me to do. But when I go to terminal emulator and type su it doesn't ask for root permissions. I had installed Viper and it didn't ask for root on startup and hence I couldn't install drivers. I installed trickster mod and when I started it, it would just keep loading but wouldn't go further. So I checked SuperSU's log and it says it denied permission to viper and trickster mod. But it didn't even ask for permissions! What is the problem?!
Two questions,1 do you have the super su app, or superuser app?
2 if u have either of those, did u allow them to install the su binary?

SuperSu and yes I have. Other root apps work properly!

If i were you, i would factory reset my phone and root again using cydia impactor
Good luck

Now root xmd xms 4.3 without bootloader unlocking

Just install this soft, open and press the button. It ll reboot automatically than install superuser (not super su) from play store
And done
download
tested on my xmd c2004

Of course antiviruses will say that this is malware/a virus. It is using a security exploit, since antivirus definitions are updated every day this will have been added by now.
I still didn't who told you to use antivirus in your phone

It doesn't give full root, and reboot fix by nut isn't compatible with it.

It doesn't work, try it yourself.
I spent yesterday trying all possible ways.
You could get half root only!

Well ****. But you can install SuperSU though. Download zip of latest version from site, extract superuser.apk and install it.

To the people saying that the app only gives half root, have you tried performing the root fix manually without [NUT]'s fixer?
right well it seems i get full root access with towel root .... UNTIL i install superSU then it all just goes to sh!t without superSU i can install busybox etc even flash things with flash gordon but when i install the supersu app NOT the binary (it doesnt let me) apparently im not even rooted anymore.
which would indicate im only half rooted but i have full access and permissions to the system folder and everything else.
does this mean that superSU needs updating to work with towelroot?

Unrooting issue

I rooted my Optimus G E-975 with framaroot 1.9.3, it worked like it should. But now when I received OS update from LG i obviously cant update cause im rooted. I unrooted with framaroot, but theres still system/xbin/su file and superuser.apk in system/app. I tried to install superuser from framaroot again and it says binaries installed etc. But after I reboot there is no superuser. When im trying to install it from play market, it says that my su binaries are old. I want to unroot my phone but I cant since im not allowed to delete anything from /system or system/xbin and I cant root my phone with framaroot
So if someone can help me somehow, id be very grateful! Thx

My phone was also rooted using framaroot. Using LGs pc tools (for Windows), I was able to update to kitkat without any problems. I lost a few apps, but I could restore them with titanium backup. I rooted kitkat with towelroot.
