Ok so i've been messing with some other kernels to see if any of them would work, and needed a quick way to get out of bootloops. I haven't seen one yet so I mad a flashable Stock Kernel. Have fun.

I didn't do anything special either. Just on the 4.4 bootloader. If your on 4.3 bootloader then maybe flash the wifi/bluetooth/nfc fix

Yes I'm on 4.4 bootloader. I flashed the tmobile 4.4 nb4 tar. via odin. Flashed CF auto root n9005 version via Odin, and then flashed the TWRP .tar that @bigbiff posted via odin as well. Then in TWRP flashed the latest Philz recovery zip that works with 4.4 bootloader (thats my preference, I like PhilZ.) Then just downloaded and installed Echoe. By the way I had no idea International 4.4 Roms were sooo much faster than ours...its quite noticeable. WIFI and everything works out of box. no need to flash any kernels or anything.

Can you send me the link to the Philz recover you used? I tried installing Sweet Rom (international) and it wiped my internal storage. Want to try Philz to see if that will resove that problem.

its not the recovery, it's the updater script included in some international roms, you have to modify the updater script so that it doesnt do wipe internal. follow these instructions.
1. Download ROM, open .zip with winRAR or 7zip.
2. Navigate to META-INF\com\google\android
3. Drag updater-script to desktop and open in Notepad++ (http://notepad-plus-plus.org)
4. Delete the following... http://imgur.com/F7rdFCo
5. Save (make sure you save as the same format - just click save and not save as)
6. Drag back into same directory and overwrite the previous updater-script in the rom .zip

LITERALLY THAT MADE ME ROLL AROUND ON THE GROUND AND LAUGH MY ASS OFF.
That my friend was not made for the Canadian Variant. I and my friend MISCOM, made that fix when we started putting out Int. Roms for TMO and Canadian phones. If you go the the Stainless thread, you will see the original posting of that fix. That's why when you flash that fix it says, made by Miscom. All somebody did was change the name of the file and stick it up on other threads. I've in months only seen one person credit Miscom for the work we did. Not mad. Doesn't bother me, we made the fix and said here guys go grab it and put it on the N9005 page so everybody can fix this issue.

I wasn't blaming you. It's opensource, not like we wrote new code to do it. We just took the time to figure out how to fix make everything work.
Its funny because as you stated you had no way of knowing, people renaming it and posted it as their work do. This is probably the 5th name i've seen for this. It doesn't make me mad. Actually it makes me smile that something that was put out is still being used.

Hi,
I had stock 4.3 firmware on my att i747 galaxy s3, then I decided to flash cyanogenmod. everything went well but i dont really like it.
Now I want to go back to stock. I tried flashing the stock rom with odin but it fails and it says this on the phone:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (2 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER RP SWREV: 2
SW REV CHECK FAIL : Fused 2 > Binary 0
The android version it shows is 4.3.1 and im able to use it normally with the cyanogenmod.
What can I do to flash a stock rom back?
EDIT: used triangle away and the custom binary download says "no" now and the current binary says "samsung official" but still get the same problem.
Thank You

You need to flash a stock ROM that has no boot loader attached to it. I just reverted my S3 back to stock from CM11 so that I could sell it. Flash a Rom.zip through recovery and it should work fine. I see you are ATT so I suggest this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540998. You have the choice of Stock Rooted without bootloader which is what you will be looking for. This thread also has everything you may need. Do not attempt to use Odin to flash roms with older bootloaders or you will find major issues.
You will almost definitely need to wipe everything so back everything up and be sure to take a Nandroid.

In that thread you have 2 good options that I can see. Scroll down and you will find one ROM by upndwn4par/full and another debloated directly under it. Which you chose depends on if you want Samsung/ Google software on it. The upndwn4par file will have you closer to stock than the other. Please be sure to read a couple pages, even if you don't get any immediate knowledge from it you will become way more familiar with these processes. It's worth the time, and safer for your phone.

Thanks once again, i will download the debloated one. But I have a question, that won't be a stock rom right? If the bootloader is the problem is there a stock d2att 4.3 rom i can flash?
That is a stock ROM. It is just pre rooted with knox removed. It is a modified version of the Stock OTA with the problematic parts removed..

You need a custom recovery to flash this. CWM or TWRP. I'm not too sure how you got to CM without one but be sure you have one and then flash the Rom from above. You can install CWM with the app 'Rom Manager'.

I installed CWM but now that i used cyanogen for a while im starting to like it. The only thing that I dont like is the music player. I downloaded google play but it is even worst, my playlists are not even in order. Is there any way of flashing the stock samsung music player on cyanogenmod or is it integrated with the touchwiz?
Thanks for all the help you gave me so far.
EDIT: I found this thread about ported s4 apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267029, can i just flash it with CWM using cyanogenmod?
You can not flash that S4 port. It says it is specifically for the Galaxy advance. Also you are correct that the Samsung player requires Touchwiz. Try Power Amp, it has pretty good reviews and features. A 3rd party player is probably your best bet. You can cherry pick for features

Hi guys!
I hope that I chose the right forum to ask my question: I installed this rom onto my Note 2 LTE N7105, but now I don't have wifi (as the text in the rom description says). Before I flashed the rom, I had installed Devils Rom (deodexed and deknoxed 4.3 stock) with the devils kernel (based on MK5). I thought that the bootloader will be kept, because I already installed a wifi hotfix for that bootloader.
Now I have the new 4.4 rom installed, it works fine - except for wifi. If I got this right (if not, correct me) - flashing the MJ5 bootloader will solve the problem and I won't have KNOX triggered (now I have a "MA5" bootloader). So I tried to flash the MJ5 bootloader with ODIN 3.09 but it keeps failing. The drivers are installed, I can access the download menu. My pc recognizes the phone as COM5, but when I load the bootloader and click on flash, almost instantly a red FAIL appears in the first block. The output says "writing NAND..." and then "FAILED".
Now I am a bit confused - does the MJ5 bootloader work with the Note 2 LTE or only the non- LTE version? Are there any other ways to get wifi to work? If there's now way around, I am willing to trigger my knox.
Thanks in advance, I hope you can help a very confused user

Did you try to flash the kernel as stated in the installation instructions of the rom that your trying to install?
I have the agni kernel as it is the only way to get the wifi to work without the bootloader, which im trying to get too. For the life of me i cannot figure out why odin doesnt want to flash the bootloader. mj5 or nd3 makes no difference. according to info app my boot loader version is N7105ZHALJ4. Do I need to step up 'slower'?
I want to go to any of those recent bootloaders so wifi will work normally. It seems slow on the agni kernel but at least it works.

AFAIK you can't install Agni Kernel using Odin. Instead use your Custom Recovery to install that kernel, under "Install Zip from Storage" option of your custom recovery. HTH.

No, I never managed to fix it. I think I found out in the end that there never was an MJ5 bootloader for the GT-N7105 (the international LTE version). There was only an MJ5 bootloader for the non-LTE version, the GT-N7100. And of course, that phone's bootloader will never work on the N7105.
So we're out of luck it appears

All of the new KitKat ROMs have fixes built in for that. Some of the Lollipop ROMs also fix this, so you don't really need that bootloader.

I'm on NamelessROM 5.0.2 at the moment, works fine for me. I'd probably recommend that one, battery life is also great. It's in the N7105 development forum. :good:
I was also on CM11 official, worked like a charm. There are a number of 4.4.4 ROMs in the N7105 development forum that were quite mature and worked well.

Ok, then it's a completely different discussion... not sure why the bootloader would be failing in that case, since it was built for that device. You could try a different Odin? (Assuming of course that your are NOT trying to DOWNGRADE the bootloader... it's well known that you can't downgrade the bootloarder to MJ5 from something more recent).
Otherwise, I'm sure there are equally useful ROMs for the N7100 in the Note 2 Original Development forum.
But, since your device is probably pretty old and almost certainly out of warranty by now, I would seriously consider flashing the latest official Samsung ROM to get the latest bootloader and then flash whatever you want on top of that. Voiding the warranty is irrelevant if you're already out of warranty. But, I have heard that even with the latest bootloader some people still have trouble with wifi and BT. In that case all I can suggest is playing around with different ROMs until you find something that works for you. As I'm not a N7100 user I can't really offer more advice than that, sorry man.
Guys where I can find a REAL WORKING link to download mj5 or higher bootloader??
I tried a lot & most of them are obselete
Maybe downnload the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com and extract the bootloader?

DO NOT FLASH FIRMWARE, THAT DO NOT BELONG TO YOUR PHONE....
you can brick your phone....
you install the latest firmware for your phone.... then you can install any rom of your choice....
if certain functions do not work, you can flash a kernel one of the developers make, to fix your phone... for your model...

I have the stock roms nothing done to them, plain stock just renamed the knox files with .ori at the end of them., and firmwares for almost all the roms..0...
edit: just uploaded UPDATE-SuperSU file, all you have to do is flash that and stericson.busybox-1.apk

and underneath that how to do Odin... and at the site have the different New and Old Odin files, SU, TWRP, and busybox, also...
**************************************************
for example... this is the stock rom... N9005DXUENE3-hlte_Stock_Odex_NotRooted-NoKnox.zip
for example... this is the full firmware you download from https://samsung-updates.com/ which take along time to download ... N9005DXUENE3_N9005OLCENE4_N9005DXUENE2_HOME-v4.4.2.zip
for example... N9005DXUENE3-files-modem.bin-boot.img-recovery.img.rar - ( which includes modem.bin + NON-HLOS.bin + boot.img + recovery.img )

I hit the wrong button the other day while trying to reflash stock to my S3 and wiped the system folder. the brain had farted and forgotten about the lock out. only had a older version of TWRP so was only able to install Cyanogen 10.0.0.0 and now I can't flash anything else. not a newer version. not a different ROM. everything else fails. I think the error message said something about a boot loader.
it works but CM 10.0.0.0 just isn't working for me (I HAVE to have a camera for work).
any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yes it is. but no mater what I do Odin puts stock (or any other ROM) on and then it's boot loop until I reflash CM 10.0.0.0
I can change recovery using Odin but not the ROM.

Use Philz recovery, do all the wipes including internal SD (not external) and flash whatever ROM you want. TWRP doesn't play as nicely on this phone as Philz.

Sprint is my carrier. I tried the ROMs I have. Boot-stock-dnd8-SPHl710. that won't work because of the lockout I'm told. all of the other ROMs I have are zip files. real damn confusing trying to figure out which is what. I've just spent half an hour looking and as near as I can tell all ROMs come out in .zip not .tar. I am confused and befuddled.
I don't really care what ROM to much. but CM trashes my camera and I have to have it for work.
I really do appreciate your help.

That is a JB ROM. You would have to edit out the asserts before it will flash. But instead of doing that try using Odin to flash stock NJ2. Once you have stock on there, you should flash the last official release of Philz, then flash a ROM, try WickedS5.

I find Philz works better than TWRP on our devices anyway. Feel free to flash ROMs from Philz. Just don't try to Odin anything lower than your current baseband, or you will brick your device.

using Odin instead of recovery and ROM (listed below) did the trick to get back to stock. http://www.mediafire.com/download/jjg72biz2dzm6qb/L710VPUDNJ2_L710SPRDNJ2_SPR.zip
Code:
I'm not responsible for what you do to your device,
this is official software downloaded from Sammobile
and uploaded to different mirrors to spread availability.
This is the stock MODEM, BOOTLOADER, and ROM from Sammobile uploaded for all of you guys.
WARNING: There is a possibility that some of the ROMs may not work since they've been designed for the Lollipop (DOK2) bootloader. I have not tested yet if CF-Autoroot works.
Edit #2: There seems to be no ROOT as of now!
Edit #3: AFTER FLASHING TWRP VIA ODIN, I CAN'T BOOT.
Edit #4: I am able to boot after flashing via odin. I was just being a derp and kept doing it wrong. If you can't get passed the splash screen all you need to do is factory reset and that seems to have fixed it for me. TL;DR I now have Systmless root, TWRP, and on MM for T-Mobile (EPE3)
Steps to get this working:
Boot into download mode.
Have odin opened and ready.
Make sure your device is plugged in to your computer.
Now click AP, add the file you extracted from the .rar you downloaded. (For example: N910TUVU2EPE3_N910TTMB2EPE3_N910TUVU2EPE3_HOME.tar.md5)
Now press start!
After it's done, you're going to want to do the same thing but with TWRP. Remember to click AP and not CP.
Now via TWRP, flash the latest Systemless Root by Chainfire
You should now be able to boot into the ROM.
Downloads:
T-MOBILE ROM, BOOTLOADER, AND MODEM (mega.nz mirror)
N910T3 ROM, BOOTLOADER, AND MODEM (mega.nz mirror)
ROGERS ROM, BOOTLOADER, AND MODEM (mega.nz mirror) Requested by @_Jax_
TWRP (Download the .tar)
ODIN

I would! Thanks so much. :good:
Alright it finished uploading! As of now you can't root it, I've already tried using @TEKHD 's CF-Autoroot method, and I've also tried flashing the latest Systemless root from Chainfire, I tried changing the kernel as well. If you try rooting you can't get past the "Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Powered By Android" Splash screen. :/
EDIT: Factory resetting using Samsungs recovery seems to have fixed it for me. I believe it might fix it for anyone else stuck on the splash screen as well.

Wow. So what happens now? Wait for Chainfire to hopefully root this or can the devs do it with their roms?
TEKHD had mentioned to someone in his thread not to update incase they locked the bootloader. Daaaaaaamn.

I actually do think it's locked.. Let me update the OP
So, I was able to boot before. However, once you flash TWRP via odin, you can no longer boot up anymore. Let me know if anyone has the same experience.

That's really strange, I wonder how they got it. I can't get passed the boot screen if I flash systemless root. I'll keep trying though!
Possibly what I'm experiencing may be due to me being a derp and flashing via CP instead of AP. I'm going to try flashing everything through AP instead.
Any chance for a T3 version? I can't download from sammobile - it gives me a bunch of errors (404, 502...)
