Devices with sim lock aren't unlockable.

Thank you for the quick reply.
Hi all
My Arc was sim locked. I bought and get some different codes such NSCK, NCK, SPCK, CCK.
I used NCK code for unlocking my sim. Now my Arc is SIM FREE, but I can not get into fastboot mode.
Is there a solution for this ? or I must accept that my device is a forever-unlocakble one!?

Not yet, and pretty much. Hopefully a dev will figure it out at some point but for now it's a waiting game.
Let's all hope for the best and hopefully it comes later than sooner.

[Q] bootloader status

How Do I find out the bootloader status (Locked/unlocked ?) of my xperia ARC.
actually I unlocked it official way, then relocked and updated to .42 fw using PC for giving to repair under warrenty. its over and I want to unlock bootloader again. whats the best way I'm on fw .42 baseband 56.

dial from your phone to check status :
*#*#7378423#*#*
service info --> configuration
for me, the best way is via fastboot..

dear gogo,
I've tried that, the service info will tell you "bootloader unlock allowed = yes"
it will not tell you whether your phone is locked or unlocked state!
It will tell you.
Mine is unlocked and says " Bootloader unlocked: Yes "

that means your bootloader is still locked, and you were allowed to unlock it.

So that means I can do the same exercise again to unlock I mean official way?
In that case se will provide me new code to unlock?
I don't remember the old code they provided
Regret for the seeking the clarification again as I don't want to endup in trouble later.

Yes, you can unlock again.
Request the code again and you'll see if they provide it again.

What if incase if SE block if you send imei 2nd time! That's my worry!

Just try it

it's ok.
I've tried it.
the unlock code is still the same code you had received before.
the remaining question is whether you sure to unlock it again or not, as standard user doesn't need to do such thing.
bravery comes from experience.
that's it bro.
I think your problem has solved.

For the info...
Bootloader unlocked: Yes
Means fastboot is enabled and the bootloader can be unlocked the official way
Bootloader unlocked: No
Means fastboot is disabled and therefore the bootloader can only be unlocked by other means
The best way for you to check your bootloader status is do identify in s1tool or similar

In the dialpad? Which ROM are you using?
If you're using CM or MiUI, you won't see it, but your BL is definitely unlocked.
Why I should post it when it'd be for X10, but anyway it's a generally SE/Sony menu.

say, what does it exactly say?
and which to choose?
after typing it in, i get;
-model info
-software info
-SIM lock
-configuration
where to go exactly and what would it say to know BL is unlocked?
thanks.
----edit
saw the answers here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488346
Dial *#*#7378423#*#* . Then go to -> "Service Info" -> "Configuration". If there is:
Bootloader unlock allowed - Yes << this means that your Bootloader is Locked
Bootloader Unlocked - Yes << this means that your bootloader is unlocked

best way to check it is with S1TOOL. Just identify your phone. If it gives device id with captial its unlocked (if i dont remember wrong). You can also try to hotboot a kernel with CWM to see if it works
code:
fastboot boot FILENAME.img | FILENAME is the name of the img file (kernel)
if it gives blue led on boot its unlocked

[Q] Can I still unlock my bootloader?

Hiya!
I've posted some stupid posts before, but this one I really need an respond to.
I am trying to unlock the bootloader VIA SonyEricsson's website. But when I enter the number intro the tele app (*#*#7378423#*#*). And Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status : Says "No".
Can I still unlock the bootloader?
And if not, can I do something about it? (Debranding)
And if I can, how do I proceed?
EDIT : My IMEI is 15 digits...?
Regards, SH4RKI3
i've manage to unlock the bootloader using the steps provided on the SE site.
The IMEI is 15 digits BUT you will have to write only the first 14 digits. (delete the last one)
Contact guys like Jinx13, they'll unlock it

Xperia play tp engineering BL unlock help needed

R800x 2.3.2 Kern=2.6.32.9 [email protected]#1
Build=edream3.0 Zeus cjs.
Not sure if anyone can help out since there aren't to many people viewing the xperia play forum anymore, but if I can get the bootloader unlocked that would be awesome. So far I've tried.
S1tool: returns aid:dead doesn't hurt the phone but it doesnt unlock either. Flashtool tried also does not work returns cannot unlock officially. Or something similiar.
Sony unlock method put in flashmodeconnected
Fasboot devices: returns code without errors.
Fastboot getvar version returns v3 fastboot no errors.
Command to unlock with key always returns failed got the key twice from Sony so the key is not to blame.
Maybe it is because it is a custom bootloader since this is the hdmi version of the play. Or because it is the r800x any help and or suggestions or fastboot commands would be awesome.
Well it appears I cannot unlock this phone as of yet because it is a brwon phone aka engineering phone. red phones are retail and blue are stock from the factory. So Now all I have to do is locate someone who knows how to get brown phone keys like @Blagus or @DooMLoRD lol!!

I sent you a pm with some info that I hope will help. I had first tried the Test point method on the R800x and got an error message that (from what I could find on Google searches) meant the Test Point method wasn't compatible with the R800x. I just ended up using the Sony Official bootloader unlock method because I wasn't worried about losing DRM keys.

Hey man.... I looked over some info that I had saved when I unlocked my bootloader last year. I also read through some threads to refresh my memory. I posted some things here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=59710197 ) for someone else that also might help you with unlocking your bootloader.

My R800x didn't have yes or no for Bootloader unlock Status. In fact, I believe that I read in multiple posts where Verizon had left this out ( here's one example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55238100&postcount=74 ). If yours has a "no" in there, then it sounds like the HDMI version of the R800x must be different.
