Just try changing that all "HTC" text to "Nokia" and try changing your Model name to any Lumia device or Nokia X than the One X would be and good enough I think and let the fingerprint and display text be the same and changing the build.host too might help Just try everything which your mind can think.
changing build.prop works.
now patching it will be lot harder. we cant decompile the apk without modifying their dlls.(they use monodroid so the app itself it is in c#, so if we decompile and recompile normally, will lead to fc since the id of xml are changed)

And what would be the answer to glimpsofreality original question then??
I have GINGERBREAD.XWKE7
Perhaps they just added on the new features on top of v3 and decided to call it 4.0 for marketing purposes... Maybe TouchWiz 3.5 would have been more appropriate. Or they were just too lazy to change filenames... lol

So if it's definitely v3, why not cancel your order? (assuming you haven't got it yet)
If you do have it, do the v4 features not work?
I'm curious how you figure it is definitely v3... Based on the filename alone? Based on the file size? Do you have some md5sums or something?
On Samsung's SGS2 website:
"The ultra-slim smartphonealso boasts 3D TouchWiz UX
adds to the evolutionary experience with a futuristic user interface.", but everywhere else (news releases, etc) on their site the call it "TouchWiz 4.0"
I think you are freakin' out over nothing.

Guys, I can rename it to be TouchWiz13.37 if that would change anything (it wouldn't). Find a feature of TW4 that's missing before we all get uptight about nothing It's likely a script that names the files

Agreed, the camcorder in stock camera app is great! The still photos in the stock camera app at 5MP are pretty good, but there is a small thin green line across the bottom of each pic (small enough that you can easily crop them off with any photo editing application without losing much picture). I tried the lgCamera app, and the still pics were way worse, with a large (say 5% to 10%) jagged portion from the bottom of the pic appended to the of of the image, all but ruining the picture.
All in all, this is the best ICS rom for the Vision that I have tried (most camera functionality)....but you will need to flash GApps as they are not in this rom.

I guess it is magic, because I just recorded a video.
If you can, isolate the driver files and share them with the rest of the community. I'm sure that there are many people absolutely frothing at the hilt to get ahold of them and incorporate properly working drivers into their roms.
You might want to upload the recorded video just for posterity sake.

I just don't have time to do it - too busy with work...
I still have NO idea which images to edit inside these apk files...
This is what that link says:
In the drawable-sw600dp-mdpi folder:
ic_lockscreen_handle_normal.png
ic_lockscreen_handle_pressed.png
unlock_default.png
unlock_halo.png
unlock_ring.png
unlock_wave.png
In the drawable-mdpi folder:
ic_lockscreen_camera_activated.png
ic_lockscreen_camera_normal.png
ic_lockscreen_glowdot.png
ic_lockscreen_handle_pressed.png
ic_lockscreen_ime.png
ic_lockscreen_lock_normal.png
ic_lockscreen_lock_pressed.png
ic_lockscreen_unlock_activated.png
ic_lockscreen_unlock_normal.png
I don't have ANY folders containing the letters MDPI. I have the HTC One X Running CM10...
And I want to edit pattern lock, not slide to unlock...
EDIT : Are the lines binding the circles maybe an XML file?
Edit: didn't read. Anyway looking in mdpi is not going to get you anywhere as that's only used by.. Mdpi phones. Look in drawable-xhdpi or in one of the xml folders instead. I'm pretty sure it's xml work though, unfortunately for you.

I know this is not the Nexus forum, but I think it should be the same, or not?
I´m one of the guys in mwc that got a new Nokia X device.
I just return home and i couldn´t imagine how easy its going to be restore Gapps.
Cause i didnt read anything. Going to write some guide or maybe i´ll do a little app to do the process in an automatic way.
A few pics!
Am i the first one!?
PS. Google Now Launcher its working too!
GUIDE
This is a rudimental way to do it. This happen because we dont have recovery yet. Bootloader seems locked in some ways, so instead
flashing a single zip, we need this way to get it working.
1
You should need a rooted device. Use Gandalf Exploit included in Framaroot app.
(Download it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2566341&d=1391850491)
PS. If you are running v11.1.1 update, Framework doesnt work, so use it this new guide to root it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2693813
2
We need a Root explorer app, use whatever you want. (For example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer&hl=es)
3rd:
Extract and copy all apks from "NokiaX_Gapps_KashaMalaga_28.02.2014.zip" to /system/app and change permisions for this files.
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4:
Reboot
5:
Extract and install as normal user every single needed apk include in "NokiaX_SomeGoogleApps.zip". (If wanna use Google Now Launcher, open it after install it)
6:
Try to launch Play Store, its gonna ask u for a Google Account et voilà
Congrats!
Nice to see that it was easy! If only Nokia were to release this line in America... I'd love to have an AOSP Nokia device as a spare

I wouldn't say ugly, but they could've came out with something a little better I guess

Just make this clear: The actual app "SoftKeyZ" has the buttons available too. (Because you spelled it with a Z)

EDIT: I just wanted to point out that it is confusing if you have "SoftKeyZ" in your title but the Thread doesn't really have anything to do with the app "SoftKeyZ".
The circle softkey looks a little smaller than it should be.. The way the softkeys are so spaced apart in pictures above makes it look uglier too..

Yes, as someone pointed out I'm another thread, I'm using a 370 DPI, so that's the problem. Should be fine for stock 480 DPI users.
Work fine
In softkeyz online archive have many themes for this, and looks fine
