[DEV] Meizu M9 Port UPDATED[01/12/11]

Another Q&D port provided by me. This time it is the Meizu M9. It looks similar to MIUI. Not a whole lot works, and since I don't know how much time I'll be spending on it, I'm throwing it out here for others to dev. This is by no means a DAILY DRIVER. It is only for testing and for those willing to work on it.

Notes: The HTC IME keyboard included is big as f*ck, therefore it was removed and replaced with gingerbread keyboard. Enable it in settings>language and keyboard.

Could you leave a comment on what fc's you had, the feedback would help us make improvements.

Sure thing about the FC's - When adding a widget to the home screen, using my keyboard was another... HOWEVER, this is a good FYI, if not already mentioned,
I downloaded LCD Density - chnged it to 120dpi and items fit a little just right,like the dial pad. Still playin will send more info when available.

Thanks for feedback.

I played around with this ROM for a while, not so much tho as its getting late and I need some sleep! only issues I came across were trying to add widgets to the screens (already stated), and you have to enable the HTC keyboard in settings before you are able to type anything, android keyboard wouldnt show up trying to select input method. also, the stock messages app doesnt launch while in landscape, but will launch in portrait. other than that, this ROM looks awesome and runs pretty smooth to be in the beta stages. looking forward to more development!

How did you install it? Sense ROMs will **** out FC's like crazy if you install it wrong.

Kindly request someone post the stock nexus 7 bootanimation.zip (NOT the SDK glowing nexus X) rather than having to download the entire /system, dump. Im unable to find it anywhere else as of it yet.
Sidenote: @ChainfireXDA rooting this puppy the day they hand them out was BOSS

Sorry to be more clear: im searching for the stock bootanimation.zip that comes with nexus 7. If i had any access to decent internet speeds i would download the entire system dump.

I understood what you said. It's just the stock boot animation for nexus 7 is the glowing x... I pulled it from zedomax's system dump. Did you see a different boot animation somewhere?

The glowing x animation is jelly bean for the galaxy nexus.

Does anyone have an issue with the music searcher app not functioning properly anymore? Haven't used it in awhile and its not finding any music.

issue here too, browsing charts fine but I tried many common bands with no success.

Took it off my phone. Just keeps saying no connection which is bs my wifi is 65mbps on my phone the best you can get.

I found that you just keep hitting search and it will eventually work. Should only take 3-4 times max.

BBM apk - Working

The long awaited Blackberry Messenger has made its debut on Android.
The previously leaked apk wasn't working. And it's not yet up on the PlayStore as promised.

NOT WORKING ANYMORE. THE REASON BELOW
BBM Finally gave light to the reason why there was a delay. It is caused by the leaked apk that recently surfaced online. It wasn't the final version of the app (and contained bugs), but still managed to get "over 1.1 million active users in the first [eight] hours."
While Blackberry is pretty happy about the response, this caused some issue with the system which caused them to delay the release of the apk.
To correct these issues, the leaked version of the app will be disabled, rendering it useless.

Doesnt seem to be working for me... Just takes me to the RIM website saying its down for maintenance. If i exit the app it then just hangs at setting up bbm...
EDIT: got it working! just by being persistant... took like 20 attempts lol.
