Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly.

I have had this message appear very frequently since I moved my apps to the phone storage two days ago. I read elsewhere on the internet that it was to do with the new year date and to adjust my clock back and then to the normal time again. This worked for most of today, but. Now back to every 5 mins or so! Anyone had this before?

the issue is having someone with a birthday on the 29/02, or at least it was for me.
Furthermore the birthday was being pulled into my contact by Facebook so I couldn't manually edit it out, the only way to solve it for me was to delete Facebook data by removing the account, and then re-add it without calendar sync.

I had it recently and it should get fixed by the contacts fix mentioned above

Can't you upload this update somewhere for us?

I wrote this on ARHD thread. I didn't update people.apk, but i don't have any "acore" problem after clearing contact storage data.

Edit: I started having that bug after I rebooted yesterday on 17.1 so I superwiped, flashed 18.0, flashed Romcleaner and I still keep getting that bug even after 3 or 4 fresh installs. It always starts after I reboot.

I also had that issue. I don't know why but i clear contact storage data and it's ok now. Maybe it works for you too.

No problem installing the patch on my rooted phone.

I extracted it from my father's hox. You can download it here: http://db.tt/3x6GdC7i. You can install it like any other app.

big thank you... for this after searching the world (felt like it anyway) I managed to sort a friends tokio tablet out with this error.. it now works great and my friend is very happy..

Thanks for this. I was TiBkup merging system updates and it froze moving this file to the system partition. Saved me a reflash buddy.

I got this message today, and I can't even enter my pin. It shows it repeatadly.

I'm Not "reporting false" You likely have the pre release which seems to work. But you linked the release candidate, which Isn't COMPATIBLE. Check your work before you turn it into teacher next time.
EDIT: YOU linked pre release. I clicked RC. MY fault. But let it be known. ONLY pre works right now.

That's right, my EGO caused me to test the RC, see the screen that say it's incompatible and I'll be notified of an update that'll work. So THEN my ego spent 5 minutes installing the cracked version, which worked. MAYBE the rom you're running is listed in the build prop differently then mine.

Different ROMs and etc - for me it does not work none of the RC or Cracked ...

I am on sense.
I tried copied to system/app-> install.
It said package not present.
I even tried installing it with system app installer but it doesnt show the icon in app drawer.

i think it wont show in the app drawer coz its a launcher
press your home button and select Facebook home if there is an option like that

im guessing your on RC3.5
got to the RC 3.5 zip file
open it and then install the facebook apk and facebook engine apk using system apps installer

Doesnt seamlessly convert a failed online msg to sms. That will be pretty annoying. Also SMS and hangouts msg are not combined in one thread even if they come from same contact.
EDIT: Thanks for this btw. Will be using as my main SMS app in any way.

Anyone on Sprint figure out how to keep it from enabling 3g or 4g when you are on WiFi?
Or maybe this also happens on other carriers too *shrug*

Is it only doing that when you send SMS/MMS?
I think that SMS/MMS have to be sent over the mobile network, and that's why it's enabling 3G/4G.

Problem is it never disables mobile radio afterwards. Have to restart phone to get back to WiFi only

It needs some kind of integration between sms and hangout message in one thread.

I've been trying to figure this out since last night. It won't even let me send MMS at all. I can send sms with mobile data off and wifi only on, but when I try to send MMS to another user that doesn't use hangouts it activates mobile data if I have it on, and tries to send but never does. Or if I have mobile data off, it doesn't even try to send. Maybe an update will fix.

Just to know, how did you get this APK?? I'm in the Beta Program of Facebook, and they still use the same layout for me

Found it on android police, hmmm strange, it worked for me once I had to reinstall after disabling auto update though then it gave me the new ui

Yes very strange, I Uninstalled my Facebook from Google Play and Auto Update is off for all apps.. But I'm with the same ui..

Hmmm, if this is a server side thing, I don't get why it works for me, I'm signed up to The beta yeah, but some people are saying that it doesn't work for them, despite being in the program :/

First of all I tried to update, it failed, so I uninstalled Facebook and installed the new one, it worked fine first time, but then reverted to the old ui, so I unticked auto update, then uninstalled it and reinstalled it, now it works, although the play store tells me that there is an update available, I'm just ignoring it

because many people join the beta dev, and still get same UI

Actually all I did was uninstall the play store version I had and then install the apk from O.P.

Figured the X.XX.617.X would indicate that it is the US unlocked edition....
But anyways, running the US unlocked edition on AT&T....

Downloading now. Unlocked non carrier version here.

Came in this morning during a meeting
Install took a while
Us unlocked

Took about 30mins to install but the camera seems to be focusing a lot better on macro shots before the update the camera was always blurry on closeup shots a few inches from the object.

Installing on my phone now as well. US unlocked version.

How's the Wi-Fi? Any improvement?

Are you on T-Mobile?
I had to put it in airplane mode and take it back out for it to start working. Before that I could not send messages and a sent MMS didn't come in. I noticed when I turned off WiFi that the 4G LTE didn't show up, checked the APNs and it was fine, tried switching network selection around with no effect and then I put it in airplane mode and took it out and my MMS came in and I was able to send messages again. I've rebooted after that and the problem with data hasn't reappeared.

Does anyone have any lag after doing the update? CPU-Z is showing that my cores 0 and 1 are both running at max frequencies 1500mhz with nothing running...

Testing new update for U.S unlocked devices. So far so good Wi-Fi seems improved. response times feel more Snappy !! Unlock speeds seem improved with fingerprint scanner. Camera focusing seems a bit more stable. I am not seeing any messaging issues with HTC messenger. Data stability seems more stable as well. I think U.S unlocked customers are going to be very happy. So far so good ?
