Upgrade ROM from the SD-card ??

I have a Excalibur running Window Mobile 5,now I want upgrade to Window Mobile 6 . I don't know why but my USB connection doesn't work,ActiveSync can't recognize my phone. So, I want to upgrade the ROM from the SD-card or somewhere,is there anyway to do that ?
P/S : Sorry for my bad English,English isn't my main language,u know...

Turn on the active sync, OR run the app unlock...which ROM are you trying to upgrade too?

First,I need to solve the problem with my connection.What do you mean "Turn on the active sync" ???. I've already install MS ActiveSync 4.5,but when I plug my phone in,nothing happen...Only a pop-up appear,it's say "USB device not recognize" !
I'm a newcome,would you tell me which rom I should use ???

Ohhh Sorry...well install Device center...it is the NEW version...try that...I wasn't trying to say you were not smart

and I for sure reccomend 3VO... I am having a battery issue but other than that it is by far the smoothest and fastest

Well,do I need to run Excalibur USPL- CID BYPASS,SDA_ApplicationUnlock or something like that before flashing ? If I must run that,there's no way to comple because I can't connect my phone to PC..

[Q] Installed Devstore8 + HTC Interop Unlock

hi all
i have a brand new HTC (rio) 8s
i am waiting for my micro simm so not all thinks i can test right now.
but...
i succesfully installed Devstore8 + HTC Interop Unlock
is there a way to unlock these phone ?
i want to side load some own apps
is this a good way to full unlock my phone ?

my device is locked in orange romania. I managed to install devstore8, but i can't install anything as .xap installation from IE is not supported. i also can't install htc interop_unlock & repair HTC. any ideas ?

i installed devstore8, but can't install interop unlock, it gives me this error : the system cannot find the file specified ( when using app deployment tool ). is there another way ?

Can you Explain EXACTLY the procedure you have used to install the Devstore8, ive tryed the browser donwload but i obtain a message like this: "you havent installed your business application please refere to your company tecnical service" i've tryed also to donwnload Devstore8.xap via usb to my SD CARD and instally it from store, but the SD Store entry dont come visibile with this app on SD CARD.
So what is the correct method to have a devstore8 installed and working on my phone ?

requirements : Windows 8 , Windows phone 8 SDK, Windows phone 8 developer account.
save the .xap file on the computer and use app deployment tool to install it on your phone.
at least this is the way i did it.

what devstore8 can do ?
Can I install other phones apps like nokia, samsung, i wanna download nokia drive to my 8s. Can i do that with the devstore8?

5.wipe data for reset all data to factory setting.
6.reboot for reboot device to normal mode or exit from adb shell.
7.check device on fastboot mode for check connection of device to on fastboot mode.
8.wipe data / cache on fastboot mode for erase user datat and cache on fastboot mode to resolve freeze,stuk on boot logo or slow down device. That is often found in the cpu spreadtrum sc6280/sc8810.
9.exit fastboot mode for reboot your pc or exit fastboot.
0.go to command promt for entering dos promt.you can use command in this soft folder and can return to the main program by type exit

This description is very good, but unfortunately I can not help of mind. The Freetab 2099 tablet is set, the OSD, I forgot, offered through the recovery gmail account, but the machine is not connected to the Internet, and it can not be solved. The Windows XP felimeri the machine, but only shows an empty folder adb driver installation, and Total Commander, however does not see downloaded from the manufacturer's website drivers installed, but not working this solution, a multitool can not find device. Maybe a factory reset would solve the matter but has not yet been described find or install a new rom that is. Img extension of the manufacturer's side, but I do not know bekepcsolni debug mode on the machine, it does not allow the zárképrnyőről to move on.
If anyone knows a solution to my problem, thanks in advance.

Hello!
The Adb Driver Installer does not recognize the machine, so I installed the manufacturer's website for official drivers. Only one folder is empty, or whatever it may be copied, "The device is not responding or is not connected."

ts, i tried to used the tool the the .exe recognize my device it shows the serial number but when i tried to unlock using otion 2 or 3 it doesn't work i got skk mobile a1 device it has somewhat like ios GUI

Hi there, i have tried to use the following software but it doesnt work
so basically I have a samsung G3 i9300T and I know the pattern code but i still want to try out.
firstly when i ran the Multi-tool, it doesn't recongized my phone. So i realized i have to turn on USB debugging in order to let the software to detect my phone.
So i have turned the usb debug mode on and it finally picks up my phone.
Press 1 and it has my serial number, good, good. Then I go to option 3 as you mentioned in order to unlock pattern lock.
It reboots, and the pattern lock is still sitting on screen. So i tried to swipe anywhere on the pattern lock but it doesnt allow me to go further unless i input the right code.
Now i am wondering what could went wrong?

Thanks for supplying such a tool, unfortunately I tried it and had the same result has Fossil_Sioux on a Motorola XT901. Phone is recognized and when I select option 2 it reboots, but the lock screen is still displayed. I enter in any random pin and it just prompts me to try again. Any suggestions?

[HELP] Cannot connect to PC using usb cable.

I have Lumia 930 with W10M ....yesterday,i deployed "root app" and "CustomPFD" .xaps to my device...to get Interop Unlock and Full FS Access,but i think i do something what i shouldnt do...
My probles is: when i connect my device to PC using same USB cable as yesterday an any other day....it just pop up messenge about slow charger,normalny its pop up if i wanna use cable to move items and stuff from/to my device...but now i just cannot connect my L930 to PC....it just charges my phone...can u guys please tell me how to solve this problem??

It happened to me yesterday. The issue is activating full MTP access. It doesen't work properly. It has a slim chance for your pc to detect the system files. I recommend you use customPDF registry editor to revert the changes (search this forum). Or factory reset will do, but it will be a hassle setting up your phone all over again.

I searched....and tryed that "enable and disable" method in CustomPFD...i seriously dont wanna factory reset my phone...ohhh....that so bad
EDIT: Oh.nothing works....i think i need to do factory reset...when its done ill post next EDIT if it works

You have to do it manually. I found this. This is the exact process i did with cPDF.
navigate this path :
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MTP
edit Data Store value to c:\Data\Users\Public and hit Write button .
that's it
Unplug/replug your phon until the system detects it.

Did you restart? And press write like 10x. Unplug your phone, wait. If it did not work, just unplug/replug until your pc detects it.

I did factory reset...now it works like a charm...but while formatting,i rimebered that i forgot to backup my photos.... ...so i dont have my photos now....

Ouch... I feel you brother. Just do interop unlock, i dont find full mtp access that really useful.

Okay,at least i have some of photos on Onedrive form WP8 .....at least something....okay...so i dont need Full MTP access really.....so just interop unlock from "root tool"...and what to choose? just Interop,Interop+Capability or Win10 Capabilities? and...ive seen on 1 threat what there is option to bring on 5 Quick Access tiles...how to do that??

same problem

Having this issue on my Lumia 830. I did the registry changes (tried combo of upper/lowercase for the registry key) and nothing worked.
Eventually, after trying boot mode (the ! window) I am locked out of all my jailbreak apps. I suspect the boot loader (holding the volume key down until the ! screen loads) locked my capabilities.
Oh well. Windows Recovery Tool says there's new Firmware for the 830 (much newer than what's on my phone). Yet another full restore is in the works for me. Hope anyone reading this doesn't make the same mistake I did!

TP-LINK Android Phone / ADB Device

Ok so i'm pulling whats left of my hair out as I cannot seem to be able to remove this pest of a driver , windows 8.1 Pro is insisting my Nexus 5X is a TP-Link Android Phone and keeps over writing my google adb drivers so my fastboot / adb no longer works , has / is anybody having this problem? wugfresh install wont overwrite the TP-Link either all universal adb installers wont work either

Kind of surprised you're still running Windows 8.1. Windows 10 is free for you and better in just about every way, regardless of the UI changes. Just a recommendation, though I doubt it'd fix your issue.
There's an easy way to tackle this but it depends on how the driver is being installed. If you're connecting your phone to your computer and Windows is insisting on downloading and installing this "TP-Link" driver from Windows Update, there is a way to disable this in a few easy steps. If you're connecting your phone to your computer and Windows just assumes that it's a "TP-Link Android Phone" and applies the wrong pre-loaded driver (usually gives you a notification near the clock) then we're gonna have to get a bit crafty.
EDIT: Silly question. You don't have USB tethering or any wacky app that would be causing this issue, right?

Yeah we will have to get a bit crafty, i hid the TP-Link update in windows update god knows how it got installed but its in and i removed it but its still insisting its a TP-Link Android Phone , man its bugging me out . No tether app or other apps no, thats why im lost as to why its started this BS , windows i know can be tricky WIN10 was not for me plus the free upgrade has past now (29July) anyway.

Would you mind doing something for me before performing the steps I'm going to list below? Go into Device Manager with the phone plugged in and installed as the stupid "TP-Link" BS and find it in the list of devices. Should probably be under Portable Devices or something. Right click it and click Properties, go to the Driver tab and click "Driver Details". All of the drivers should be located in the 'system32/DRIVERS' folder. Mind giving me the names of those drivers listed? Naming convention is typically driverName.sys.
Additionally, we're going to try a Group Policy change. Hit Windows Key + R and type 'gpedit.msc' and hit enter. A window labeled "Local Group Policy Editor" should come up. Then do the following:
Expand Computer Configuration (Left hand side, the navigation panel)
Expand Administrative Templates
Expand System
Expand Device Installation
Click Device Installation Restrictions
On the right hand side, now, there should be a list of restrictions. Somewhere in that list there should be an item "Prevent installation of devices not described by other policy settings". Double-click that and another window named the same thing should pop up. In the top left, set it to enabled and click Apply, then OK.
Unplug your phone and get rid of that ****ty driver if you haven't already and then restart and try connecting the phone again to see if the same incorrect driver install occurs.

Have you resolved this issue? My laptop is acting the same. Device manager sees my phone as "TP-Link Android Phone" with sub category of "Android Bootloader Interface." I can't use ADB with it, not recognized.

It says the driver is: winusb.sys, wdfCoInstaller01009.dll and WinUSBInstaller2.dll. When I tried to edit the group, it says "Windows can not find gpedit.msc
Hope you can help me. My phone is stuck in fastboost mode- LG D838

Got the same issue here., Nexus 5x keeps on rebooting, no way to get to recovery and shows as TP Link on my computer. Did you manage to sort it out somehow?

and prevent driver from being installed.

Did you guys manage to fix it? I tried everything you people said but it didn't work. I have a Blu Vivo Xi+ and my PC only recognizes it as TP-LINK Android Phone. I dumbly deleted it's OS and all it's data when trying to update it. I only have access to TWRP and fastboot, is there a way to fix it? I would love if someone could assist me ?.
