So was loving the new Zenus case I posted about in the cases thread, but I find it causes ruined pictures with flash due to bleed.
Example shots with the phone in, and out of the Zenus Cambridge case.

I think I'm going to go with a bumper frame of some kind, and a pouch. Front tempered glass and rear protector film. Seems best way. I think most thick rear casings affect the flash like this.
I bought this case off of eBay
http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/151145761604?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1
It's the Pudini hard shell, there's no flash bleed, it fits the official Sony dock, but it's a little on the slippery side for me.

I'll try one of them. Thanks. Might still use a pouch too. Don't know

Might order a couple more as spares to keep for when Z1 accessories become scarce after Z2, 3, 4 etc.

Using this Noreve case - can't show link due to forum rules (first forum I've encountered this, but meh), but a .com after the name works. My case is the vertical flip case.
Expensive, but worth it. Superb quality leather and premium feel in the hand. You'll see that the case has a major cut out missing for the camera, so no chance of flash problems. Also works in the Sony magnetic dock with the dock adapter removed.
Two variants available - wallet style and a folding case. Folding case has more traditional camera cut out, so don't know if it works the same re flash.

I just ordered one of those. The flip down version that you have.
If the flash works, I'll be happy. They look great, but jeepers. £43!
Bah, and now they've just emailed me to say the order is messed up and I have to cancel. I have zero luck with cases

I have used for a while the Noreve Tradition D Leather Case, keeps phone well-protected, but it adds a bit of bulk.
Now I am still using the Zenus Minimal Diary Case, causes no flash bleed, and keeps phone profile very svelte.

Liked the look of that case too, but does it have a clasp or magnet to keep the front cover closed? Thought it didn't, so rejected it and bought the Noreve. Had a Malmo case from Krusell which I sent back as only fabric and interference with flash, though slim and good magnetic closure.

Hi, I used Baseus case before
http://www.rakuten.co.id/shop/um/product/LTSNL39H-XY/
it caused flash bleed despite the case is really good, and i really love it, so if you like to take photo with flash don't buy it! though removing it is easy, but I just don't like to remove it everytime i take photo at night.
I am currently using s line cover case which doesn't cause flash bleed, wonder if Nillkin Frost shield will cause flash bleed?

Finally got the noreve and I'm not too impressed really.
There's no corner protection at all on three corners, and the front flip is very tight. That might loosen up, but I'm not convinced it's not due to the tempered glass protector I have on there adding another .4mm
Going to try some night time flash pictures, see what happens . That'll make the difference if I keep it or not.

Well, each to their own, I suppose. Hard to find a good case, as it's all personal preference.
I'm also using a tempered glass protector - a Brando. My front flip is not super tight at the top, but quite grippy. Prefer that to something loose. There is limited corner protection on two corners (side of the USB flaps), but lack of that sort of protection is not a major issue for me.

The killer for me again though, and I've just tested it, is the flash bounce/bleed with the case fitted.
It's not /quite/ as bad as other cases, but it's way too much to be acceptable, especially on such a premium priced product.
I'd be amazed if others aren't seeing this with the case.
I'm even more amazed and disappointed that almost every case on the market causes problems with the flash on the Z1, and no manufacturer mentions it. Don't they test these things? Are they just hoping they'll get enough sales from people who don't care?
I'm a grumpy cat.
Picture with, and without case
HI - just wondered if it is parctical to enlarge the lens hole in the case so the edges will be too far from the flash to reflect???
I've been thinking about trying this on a roxfit case. Got my dremel ready.
The noreve has a big cut out already though. So perhaps not.

Have you been looking around to find the most beautiful case for your s3? I have got you covered. I have found the perfect case for the Galaxy S3.
This is a review for the SGP Spigen Bumper Ultra Lumi series. I have ordered this case before three weeks and it arrived today. As you can see from the photos, the packaging for this case is pretty good.

Once you order this case, you get the following items: 1. Case 2. Front protector 3. Back protector 4. Cleaning cloth. Normally you have to pay at least 10 dollars to get a decent pair of front and back protectors, so its a positive thing that they are included for free.
Now, lets have a look at the case. First thing i have noticed is the slim factor of the case. It looks beautiful and most of all: it looks premium. Although, if you touch the case you get that plastic feel. I dont see this as a bad thing, because it gives you at the same time the feeling that this case will do its job: to protect your investment.
As you can see from the photos, the cut outs for the usb, headphone jack, mics are perfectly lined. The buttons, both volume and power, are made of plastic. This is a good thing because its far more easy to press them from other tpu cases out there.
Also, this case has edges on the front and back of it. If you lay your phone on the table, its still protected because of these edges. Same thing goes for the front of the phone. You are protected because of these edges, so if you drop your phone on a straight floor, you are protected as well.
Now lets move on the negative side of this case. The price is little high for some people but notice that this case is one of the most beautiful cases i have ever seen (and i have seen a lot). Moreover, when you are holding your phone with this case, it doesnt have that anti-slippery feeling, that other cases give you. I dont care very much about this because i know that this case will protect my phone in every days situations.
Finally, I highly recommend this case to every s3 user in this forum. However, i dont think that it will look as great in the pebble blue s3. I am sure that it looks fantastic on my white galaxy s3 with my aluminum brushed back cover.
If i could give a rate to this case, i would rate it: 4,5/5.
Here's the pros and cons:
Pros: 1. best looking case for my taste 2. very good protection 3. easily accessible buttons
Cons: 1. pricey more some people 2. not having that anti-slippery feeling.
I hope you liked this review. If you find it helpful, hit thanks.
You can buy this case on:
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/samsung/samsung-galaxy-s3-case-ultra-bumper-lumi-series.html
Have a nice day everybody.
10/11/2012 ***UPDATE*** I emailed SGP Spigen and asked them when this beautiful case will be back in stock, and this is the response i got:
"We are still unsure when we will be receiving new shipments of the Ultra Bumper from our manufacturers and they haven't given us an ETA yet.* As soon as they inform us, I will be sure to send you an email".
So anyone who wants this case, HOLD on

Have you try this bumper with the brush aluminum back? The brush aluminum back is thicker than stock so I wonder if it will be a very tight fit. I have 2 tpu bumpers from eBay and it stretch too much with the aluminum back.

Quick question, the white portion of the case, is it hard plastic? Reason I ask is none of the colors look good to me and I'd like to apply a vinyl over it to change the color. Do you think a vinyl would even stick reliably to the white portion?
Thanks for your help ahead of time.

I am looking for a good kick stand case for my M7. I had this Aduro case for my Galaxy S3 and loved it because it was thin and came with a holster. Seidio makes one. I have one and I think it's pretty nice. It looks good and the kickstand is pretty sturdy. The only downside is removing it. At first it seems impossible to do so, but you just gotta get used to gripping the bottom to pull the top off.
Thank you for your message very look forward to your update again

I've had the casemate pop for my last 2 phones but it doesn't seem to be available yet for the One.. I'd seriously recommend to keep an eye out for it and buy it if possible.
Currently I'm using the genuine htc double dip hard case for day to day and the double dip flip case for when I'm gonna use my phone as a video player. It works really well for watching movies etc and is a nice case.

Speck makes a TPU kickstand case that can be used in both portrait and landscape. Its nice but was a little too thick for my liking though. So far, the best one I have found is the Seidio Surface w/kickstand. Its really thin and feels good in the hand. The only downside is that the kickstand is not flush with the body of the case so it creates a noticeable hump on the back of the case. There are also a bunch of those S-line TPU cases with kickstands going for pretty cheap on ebay. Sounds like you may want something a little more high quality though in which case I recommend the Seido or if you don't mind the extra bulk, the Speck case.
The one from HTC looks good but it's not out yet

I keep looking for a kickstand case exactly like this one (super thin, adds some grip, supports both portrait and landscape use). Everything I find looks horribly thick or doesn't support both modes of use. Hope someone makes this design for the One soon...

So finally got it and it's a decent cheap case that was under $10. It seems to fit a tiny bit loose on the top and bottom and I seem to have a slight rise at the bottom of the hard plastic cover right below the bottom of the kickstand but it's not that bad and hardly noticeable. The power button is covered by the silicone but I tested it and my remote stills works perfect through it which surprised me. Thought I was going to have to cut a hole out. The power and volume buttons are slightly raised and make them easier to use. The charge port is cut perfectly for the charger cable to fit. The edge lip around the screen is high enough to protect the screen when laying flat.
And I don't know if it's just been because I've hardy put the phone down since I got it or the phone is a little too thin or long but my hand had been cramping. Didn't have that problem with the evo. I figured I just had to get use to it. I think though that maybe the one was too thin and adding some thickness feels a little better in the hand. Wonder if other people have dealt with this issue. Anyway here are some pics.

I have it and it's the only case I have for the One. I LOVE it. Perfect size cut outs for the power button, headphone port and usb port. Great protection and the volume buttons are easier to press blindly. The one thing that would make it better is if the stand could be used in portrait mode as well.
Hey guys, there's so many cases on the market, I really can't decide on what to buy. I'm looking for a few, definite things that I must have, however :
Must be as thin as possible
Easy installation (no glue spraying or wetting, etc)
Must come in either black or silver
If someone can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.
After trying incipio, greatshield, diztronic, and Nilkin, IMO Nilkin is the best slim case and thats the one I kept finally.

Neither did I but I guess some of the ones like Ghost Armor require some sort of adhesive and knowing me, I'd totally screw that up and bork my phone.
Anyway, I ended up going with the Poetic Atmosphere case, I hope it's as good as it looks, and it does have very good reviews, so I hope it was worth the price. But it wasn't that much anyway, if I don't like it I will probably just trade it.
Rock has a good line of super thin cases. I'm using a black one and it looks outstanding on the black phone. Only thing is, since it is so thin, it is more of a scratch guard than a drop guard. Aside from that, I can't recommend it enough.

I love my incipio feather shine. Just make sure you get the one with the revised cutouts. The regular feather is not an issue. But the shine had a 1st gen style without a proper cutout for power cord. Revised version has power cord cutout and SIM tray cutout added to it. I'm sending mine back tomorrow for the revised version. Already have an rma for it. Case is amazing though. Incredible look and feel. I've had about 5 people ask me. "are you going to get a case for it ?" Then I tell them.. umm.. that IS the case. and upon closer look they see that it does intact have a case and it is not part of the phone.

dont know for sure but i think it'll be close. because of the way this phone appears to curve is why im unsure. I actually have a clear zagg on the back of mine though and that turned out great. The front zagg didnt make it but the back has been on since launch, cant tell its there. Ask me again in june if you're interested
Another thing i'm unsure about is if the aluminum will affect the radios. HTC made the sides with plastic because of reception. The aluminum bumpers will cover that.
this case fits great. I use it over my spigen clear.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clear-Ultra...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item41726f2a24
Must say i love the Poetic FlipBook Case.
Poetic Atmosphere Case or Cimo Grip Back Case Flexible TPU Cover?
Or would anyone else care to recommend a clear, slim case for the HTC One.

OtterBox is good.
Recommend it for you.
I already posted about this case, but I didn't include any pictures, so I'll do it now. This is the Rock Ethereal that I use. I bought the black one, and it looks so damn good on the black. It's as super slim as they come.

I bought a ipad case from belkin not long ago, It has a kind of unpleasant smell. I throw it away.
I use benks

I want this case, too bad it has a loose fit, I might settle if they come out with more colors

What do you mean by loose? Does it come off easily like the Incipio Frequency (personally I don't find that a problem) but if it falls off than yeah that's too loose!

I bought 2 of this ref for my girlfiriend and i, and the fit is perfect for both or us. No loose point. But i can confirm one thing despite of the minimalist design this protection is incredible. My deary let her One fall 2 times, once inside house, once in the street very badly...after removing this Belkin protection to check the phone, not a single mark on it. I even used the belkin screen protect which is really easy to apply, no air bubbles, and really protective. Best ever used.

Well I went out and got one at target but quickly returned it, it was a tight fight like the phone is secure but the sides, top and bottom stick out so it makes the phone look roundish, basically made my htc look look like a galaxy s4 lol, the top and bottom stick out too much to where u can see a gap between the lip and phone, it was a bummer because if it was a perfect fit the case is extremely nice looking on the silver one and probably the nicest tpu case I've come across, I hope there is a revision of this

that's a shame
running out of options... looking for a less bulky case than the uag yet still protective. i've pretty much given up my hopes of sgp making a neo hybrid case for us HTC One owners.. not feeling any love from them lol
hopefully someone will step up and create a quality fake neo hybrid for the HTC One or something :fingers-crossed:

I know I'm resurrecting an older thread, but I just wanted to chime in with my experience. I bought one of these cases on eBay, and I agree that the fit on the top and bottom leaves something to be desired. Other than that, I really like the case, so I got out my heat gun (not just a hairdryer), and heated up the top and bottom until they were warm enough to push in and reshape a little bit. That made the case fit a lot better. Be careful if any of you decide to do this, though. The grey part can melt if you get it hot enough.

i think that this cover could be very nice ! but i should go for a 3mm because i think its the same for protection but the weight its better !
The case does add quite a bit of bulk to the phone. It makes it a lot wider than it needs to be, and there's sort of a sharp seam around the edge near the top. I stopped by a T-Mobile store today and picked up a Speck Candyshell Grip case for less than $20. It fits amazingly well, and really makes the fit of the Belkin look terrible, even after I got it to fit better with a heat gun.
It seems like we have two options:
Poetic Borderline or this Abacus bumper, which seems to be the same as this i-Blason bumper.
I just got the i-Blason bumper, and it's pretty terrible. It's large and thick, yet the USB hole is just big enough to accommodate the stock cable, which is on the slim side.
Check the photos below, with the first comparing with another crappy case from caseology, which I thought was bulky as well, and the second a closeup of the 3.5mm hole, showing off the thickness in all its glory.

I am about to give up on bumpers and get a cruzerlite case or something

By that, I mean bareback, border-only ones.
My N5 just shipped, and would love to protect them corners, but leave the back open.
Has anybody found one?

I thought that wasn't a bumper case. Must be the bad rendering.
Thanks.
yah that is bad rendering. and i think that looks like an ugly bumper case.

Google made effort to use silk touch plastic... it's a shame to cover the back.
Where are the regular bumper like the officiel Nexus 4 one.
three colors one a phone are too much imo, I'll pass on these one... I think I would by something transparent + color though
Poetic cases are good, but not attractive at all. They will probably be the only bumpers we get.
Currently i'm leaning towards a full case with a clear back, or just going full dbrand skin and a screen protector.

I like that the official google ones at least say nexus on the back like on the phone. I don't like the price however.

The price is a bit high, but I'll admit that I probably would have ordered one with my phone if they had been available, mostly because it says nexus on the back.
Spigen and Ringke both have bare back bumpers which I am looking at as well. Just don't know which to get. Both on Amazon. Just search for Nexus 5 bumper.
Got my Spigen Ultra Hybrid today. Phone arrives Monday. Can answer questions on the case if anyone has any.

I'm interested in buying it. Are the sides that are black bulky at all? I'd like it if it were pretty slim. How are the button placements? Mushy or firm? Does the clear backing look/feel vulnerable to scratches? Thanks!

Sides don't seem any bulkier then a Cruzerlite case but are harder plastic. Don't have my phone yet so can't tell you about the buttons other then I suspect they will be firm. Back is hard plastic so I'm guessing it won't scratch easy.
Can provide more feedback when I get my phone Monday.

How's the inside of the case? Any causes for concern that the case might mark the case or any part of the finish inside that might rub on the sides of the phone when on?
Just I have had bumper cases before that can cause marking on the actual phone through poor finish on the inside which is what you don't want from something made to protect your phone
Cheers in advance

Inside it just feels like real smooth hard plastic. Didn't feel any sharp edges that would rub and wear.

exactly my point
I just bought a spare one to wait for a good 'real bumper' to hit the market in europe (the poetic will cost me double the price because of the delivery from usa, and and don't like it, aesthetically)
This one looks better than the poetic case

SOLD. These look very nice, and though their version for the N4 had some issues, this N5 version looks like it'll be just fine with the 2 piece design instead of one solid piece. and some nice color options.
Just sucks there is no prime and it's going to be a few weeks.

Yeah, I have one of these for my n4. Survived one fall(concrete), corner of case little scuffed, n4 fine . Never took it off once I put it on, used it with a horiz holster during the warm month, breast pocket of winter coat o.w. or just lying on a table/carried by hand.
What do you do sit and stare at your case all day? Frankly I don't even notice it.
Note: mine never fell apart like some of the Amazon reviews for the n4 version claimed OTOH I wasn't putting it on/removing it every other which I suppose could account for it eventually pulling apart...
I've already ordered the hybrid & slim armor(wanted something available now since the only time that I dropped the n4 was shortly after receiving it), plus the other case listed in the threads here. Might end up ordering this again IF I don't like the three that I've got on order already(well the slim shipped should be here same day as n5).
Now all I need is another horiz holster w/belt clip as I'm sure the one that fit the n4 isn't going to fit the n5 as it was already a little tight with n4 + bumper case...
