[Q] backup issue.

I have recently tried to backup my Rom (Jedi mind trick x1) and it won't let me. When I press it in clock work mod recovery it says something like "bad sd card" any fix our free alternative?

An alternative would be changing your recovery from cwm to twrp

It's it better? And could it possibly brick my phone?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Way better...it won't hard brick your phone...but if you mess up the installation process, it MAY soft brick it.

Software update: LS970v9. Anyone downloaded this yet?

Hit my phone an hour ago. I'm rooted and unlocked, don't want to risk bricking my phone. Is this JB?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Also, apparently it has installed and will complete upon phone restart. Lol...hopefully I don't have to jump through hoops.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
No it's not JB.

K, is it safe to update or will this brick my phone? I'm holding off restarting and I'd like to know if I need to freeze some stuff.

Something wrong?

So I rooted my note 2 using 2nd method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955423...and unrooted following the same steps but I still get modified in the status instead of normal. Any help anyone? Am I doing something wrong?

Did you do factory reset on the phone if it does not work you may need to flash stock ota rom via Odin.

Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I'm not at my computer right now, but..
You need to download Odin to your computer, download the stock firmware of which model phone you have (make sure you download the right one)
And flash it via Odin.

The 1.26gb file sounds big (even with stock bloatware)... if that file containes modem/radio content then make sure you have a backup first

as per the signature you've got a SGH-T889
can you tell if your flashing this rom is for n7100 or 5 please check before flashing if its compatible or not .
I thought it was a7100 but after researching on the Internet I now think I have a 7105. My phone gets lte so that is what had lead me to believe I have a 7105.
I am going to flash a rom for a 7105 and see if it works.

While your phone is rooted, your warranty is void
But there are several ways to un-root your phone and remove all of the things that void your warranty - root access, root apps, custom recovery and bin counter in download mode after flashing stock firmware
You can follow the guides/videos available and unroot your phone before you take it in for service at Samsung
Are this works with latest 4.2.2??
