Hi, I have LG 6200 and using Sphinx V4.1
However, I get only GPRS (G) network while using internet, not EDGE. I also flashed base band of v 167 given in the above thread but no use. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Nobody knows??
AFAIR the 6200 doesnt have a GSM-module because it's a CDMA-phone. EDGE is simply not available in that case.

I m using GSM network on all stock roms as well as custom roms, however I can use GPRS only, not EDGE.
just looked at the specsheet of the lu6200 on gsmarena, it really doesn't have a gsm module, so i guess you are using basic cdma for 2g connections

Anybody know which network simcards work in this phone that is unlocked from network? Will it work right?

Tmobile gets 1g with stock bb and custom rom. I have searched a lot and once ran across some info regarding straight talk and possibly boost mobile working just fine with the 1900 MHz frequency but I can't find it again.
Sometimes the search function is a bit temperamental

does anybody notice that? my device is working fine, but...
when you go to setting - about phone - status, my signal strength is ALWAYS showing 0 dBm and 0 asu
my build number is 6.0.F.0.111
or maybe it's just my xperia ion that's having this problem? flashing another rom doesn't solve this problem.
I'm flashed international ROM. And same problem like you have. But everything working fine with full bars. Can someone with original ATT rom post info about signal status?

I think it only shows 0 when on LTE. I am usually on hspa and it shows a signal level but I just looked now connected to LTE and it does show 0.

I'm using an at&t galaxy s2 unlocked for use on T-Mobile with a very nice JB ROM and can't seem to find a suitable radio to get 4g speed.
I was using the blaze radio when I was on ICS ROMS and got very fast 4g speeds, however now I'm on JB, I would like to have back a 4g connection. I'm in the Atlanta area, and travel to Florida gulf coast area for business twice a week and really need a good connection on the road.
Anyone...

You are using a skyrocket on T-Mobile. Are you looking for lte or T-Mobile hspa+? T-Mobile does not have lte yet. Doesn't matter what radio you use that works with the skyrocket you'll never get lte on T-Mobile.

Are you asking about 4glte or 3g+ what T-Mobile refers to as 4g?
ooops
Usually on unlocked phones using a different carrier you only get edge.. your lucky if you even got 3g

Ok, I really just need to know what radios are available, and where I can find them, and I'll try to see which one works best for me in my area.... maybe I'd just go back to ICS and the blaze radio, and be done with it, cause I seem to be getting nowhere with this 3g 4g lte, conversation, beginning to feel sorry that I asked

So as the title states I need some help. I'm trying to get a phone and its an unlocked at&t s3 and I'm trying to figure out if it will work well on our T-Mobile carrier. Will I get 4g can I get SMS? Any help?

Yes, I'm using one right now and I get "4g" and 4g LTE as well.. "4g" might not have as good coverage depending on your area because it will use the 1900 frequency T-Mobile has recently started to roll out instead of the 1700 that T-Mobile mainly has for 3g/hspa.. But LTE will work just fine, and it is fast! heck you will even get WiFi calling as long as you flash a T-Mobile based ROM

Can't you just flash a T-Mobile baseband? And also if it'd and at&t phone how can you flash a T-Mobile s3 ROM?
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
No do NOT flash a T-Mobile baseband.. Only stick with at&t basebands or bootloaders.. The only thing you can safely flash is Roms and kernels.. You can flash roms through recovery and most should work just fine.. And BTW there actually is a mod on the at&t thread to enable the 1700 aws, but the mod wipes after a reboot and you must do it every time you reboot.. It doesn't sound that bad, so you might want to try it out if you end up getting it and have bad or no 3g/h with 1900 in your area

So I can flash a T-Mobile s3 room

Yes as he said you can flash roms and kernels nothing else.
And dont be confused and think a rom is equivalent to firmware. Its not.

Well I know that I was just a little confused as to the way he worded it. So I've tried reading over their some but so far all I've come up with are old threads where people were trying to get 3g to work. Supposedly its permanent any idea how I can tell what frequency my location runs on
Sent from my One S using xda app-developers app
I'm pretty sure there is. I think it may be a dialer code that you can use to go in and test to find out. Cant remember for sure, but thought I'd mention it in case it helps someone else answer or helps your search.
If you aren't able to find anything ill try to remember to look later tonight.

But doesn't the article say that they're moving 3g to 1900 and then 1700 will be for HSDPA+ and 2100 will be for lte

Though, they will only be able to offer hspa+42 on the aws spectrum I believe. And it'll only account for a small portion in the end.

these are the two threads i was able to find about it

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771021
the first one is the newest method and the one that won't stick after reboots.. the second one will downgrade the phone to ics, and people are saying that flashing a t999 recovery and then a tmo jb rom will still keep 1700 enabled but i haven't tried any of them
Well you guys thanks for the help. Now I just have to actually find a new phone

Not possible, SGH-T989, T989D phones don't have 4G LTE hardware, most roms do have support for LTE, but the phone hardware has to have it.
