does anybody notice that? my device is working fine, but...
when you go to setting - about phone - status, my signal strength is ALWAYS showing 0 dBm and 0 asu
my build number is 6.0.F.0.111
or maybe it's just my xperia ion that's having this problem? flashing another rom doesn't solve this problem.
I'm flashed international ROM. And same problem like you have. But everything working fine with full bars. Can someone with original ATT rom post info about signal status?

I think it only shows 0 when on LTE. I am usually on hspa and it shows a signal level but I just looked now connected to LTE and it does show 0.

AT&T must did some tests or system down. Me too this morning but now as I type LTE is back.
Btw - Fix the title LTE instead of let

Status bar says I have 4G LTE but 5mbs? I've seen other people well beyond 30mbs.. 5mbs seems more like HSPA+..

Probably just the area. My HSpa+ speeds are so erratic lately.. sometimes I only get like 50kb per sec its horrible.. att needs to step it up and upgrade the network.

Some ROMs take away 4g.. I don't know about the ROM you're currently on, but mine has said I have 4G when I was really limited to 3G. I know this isn't much help, but I've had similar encounters and it was the ROM I was running.

It says LTE:14.
Just wondering for those with good speeds, which baseband are you running? I'm on I747UCLH9. And I hadn't had high download speeds since I flashed it.

I went to 3 sprint stores and looked at a few YouTube videos and every OG had low or no signal bars.
What are most of you guys getting as for as bars? I'm at a great Sprint coverage area and most my other phones are a full bars.
Unfortunately it sounds like a hardware issue. It's probably something I have to live with because I really do like this phone.
Just a note, my LTE works just fine.

Lets be clear here cause a few at the sprint store were confused the signal bar is actually blue and not the grey. So when you say you usually have full bars are those blue bars?

Yea the signal strength is defined by how many blue bars you have. You will always have grey bars unless there is absolutely no signal which will result in a red x

That is true. It works differently when you have 4g. Every time I have 4g I have no blue bars. I wonder why its like that

Wow I switched my network settings from CDMA/LTE to CDMA only and BAM!! Full bars.
Some how the 4g is interfering with the signal.

No 4g does not display signal traditionally so you might have bars when near a tower but most of the time it will not display any.

I have found with my phone and other customer's OG, that switching it from LTE/CDMA (If you don't have LTE) to CDMA greatly helps. I have no LTE around here and have it on CDMA only and can't complain at all.

Got to "system settings" then "more" then "mobile network" and check off CDMA instead of LTE/CDMA.

You don't need any app to do that. It's built right into the phone (well idk about LTE signals, but for 3G it is).
Settings-->About device-->Status-->Scroll down to signal strength!
-62 dBm is nearly perfect signal strength. -125 dBm is a horrible call dropping signal. Basically the closer to 0 the better the signal!
I want evdo strength not CDMA lol

Have you downloaded the sensorly app? That shows by network where 3G, 4g, let, voice only, is by uploading gps coordinates of where late is. Give that a shot and see if ur just in a dead zone maybe?
