I bought a N5100 last year at July and rooted, flashed TWRP recovery(which was unstable at that time), flashed X-note rom last year.
After that, I didn't care about it. But then.. well.. all custom roms got stabled and I would really want to go back to stock and try other roms that I would love to use.
1. How can I go back to stock recovery? I'm using a 'unstabled' TWRP.
2. How can I go back to stock rom?
I'm always a noob when I wanted to root my device please help!

Lost my backup and everything Just get the blue logo screen. Can get to in to recovery mode but have no backups, I erased everything. Need to know how to download and install stock rom with 4.3 update. I read you cant go back to original once updated to 4.3. I just want to go back to stock so I can sell phone. I have a new s4 now

A noob question...
4.4.2 just arrived for nordic countries. Since I have a custom 4.3 ROM I have to flash the new 4.4.2 with ODIN, that much I understand.
My question is: WHEN there comes a custom ROM made from stock 4.4.2 will I be able to flash that from recovery or do I still have to flash the stock 4.4.2 first?
I want to know if I should be patient or just go for it... I really donĀ“t want to go back to all Note 2 stuff if I know there will be a flashable deodexed, rooted, stock ROM in due time. My current setup is too Note 3-ish to just let go...
Best regards
Manneman
Hi everyone I hope this is not a repetition of some old thread (I tried but couldn't find though).
I was using my note 2 (T889) on stock 4.3 which i previously flashed via odine. A couple of days ago i came by this good looking kitkat based rom ( eZKAT v2.0 ) and went on to try it. the rom flashed flawlessly and after flashing my modem i got the signals as well but the wifi was not working. tried using dr. ketans wifi patch but didnt get the wifi to working. Anyhow, I decided to go back to 4.3 via odine. The odine flashing completed successfully but i got stuck on T-mobiles boot screen for hours.
Is there anything called "you cant go back to 4.3 from 4.4.2"? If yes, then whats the way around? I really need to go back to the stock.
Thanks.

I had this problem on my Note also. Downgrading versions of Android requires a data wipe. You will need to reflash your 4.4 ROM then backup your data if you want. Save your backup to your computer then install the 4.3 image.

I already tried that but still the booting stuck on the t-mobile logo. I read somewhere that locked bootloader don't let you downgrade to previous version. Is this true?
In that case. Try finding a 4.3 rom that's close to stock.

The locked bootloader is always in stock firmwares i.e 4.3 for the Note 2 but not in custom roms meaning u can even install Lollipop custom on it & downgrade smoothly, i have done that many times. The problem is 4.3 stock firmware has locked bootloader hence downgrading still keeps u in 4.3 bootloader even if u remove all the KNOX files.
Stuck trying to downgrade from custom 5.1.1 to stock 4.3
Hi, i have a problem like this, upgrade to a custom 5.1.1 and then sell the phone, the new owner wants to have it stock, i try to downgrade to 4.3 but i cant, in odin i set the phone to flash it but seems like it doesn`t recognize the phone and i dont know why, so, i decided to try in recovery mode installing from the sd card but the sistem abort, so, i don`t know what to do, i`ll appreciates any help, sorry for my english, i do my best. (i have root access before upgrated to 5.1.1).
I am running stock right now (JB 4.2.2) and I am planning to flash a Lollipop ROM (AICP 10). If I create a backup (for my stock ROM) at TWRP and did the needed measures to flash the Lollipop ROM and was successful however I want to return to stock ROM. Do I just have to factory reset and restore my stock ROM backup to have a stock ROM again? Sorry for this noob question.
Heeeeelp!
Any idea if that would work?
Just use odin to flash any stock rom
So backup-ing in TWRP before I flash Lollipop from my current rom [Stock JB 4.2.2] is useless?
You can also use your backup from TWRP.
But It will then show that it has been modified, could be a problem with the warranty.
If you want to go back completely for warranty then odin is the way to go
Thank you! I actually don't care about warranty since mine is overdue already. All I wanted to know was if I will be able to go back to JB 4.2.2 with that backup in case I have problems with Lollipop.

Your post has many repeats - please clean it up.
Yes, when you RSD or flash a stock rom, you also change the recovery back to stock(unless you selectively do not). If you want TWRP, just flash it again.

Despite all the unnecessary repetations... You did go back to 7.0, not 7.1? Well, unless you flashed a version older than the stock version you where on when switching to custom ROM, just look if there is already a OTA. In fact there should be many. OTAs with unlocked bootloader aren't a problem as long as you don't change recovery, the only problem is flashing an older stock ROM than you had. Then you'll get an OTA too but that would brick your device
