Hey all, I noticed they planned in making the lifeproof for the moto g When I go to there site there isn't any option for moto g ... but when I Google it I get this link,

I'm curious if it's legit and if anyone has bought one

$80 seems a bit steep for a case. I paid $26 for a case that will provide probably just as much drop protection. But, it's your money, you decide.

There IS an option for the Moto G, it just isn't advertised in the drop down on the main page, but it is on their shop page. The Mobile site you found through Google isn't some hidden thing that Lifeproof forgot about.
Yes, it is legit. No I haven't bought one.
Yea it is half the price of the phone it self... Lol but I can't resist the waterproof part, my hobbies all include water and dust which is electronics worst enemy... And you say you got it foot 34 $ where at?

Costs half as much as the phone!
Man, for that much you might as well just buy an extra phone! I'd go with a Trident or Otterbox before that thing. To each his own though.
For me the otterbox commuter that I pay 40$ cad is the maximum that I'll pay to protect my phone
"Envoyé depuis mon XT1032 avec Tapatalk"
Yeah I've bin thinking of it, only thing is I've droped my phone in water three times in less than a month! I just can't bear to send 80 bucks... Anyone know if the fosmon or Trident is fairly water/dust tight around the ports ?

That's a fair point. I'm just worried about a snug fit. I've bought cheap no-name brand cases before that fit horribly, and were basically a waste of money.

It's in Amazon for $20:
http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-SE-13...d=1340763388&sr=8-11&keywords=Xperia+Ion+case
I think I'll go for a KaysCase, also in Amazon. I've looked for reviews online for the brand (they make cases for Ipad as well) and didn't find any negative one. Since Apple users are usually prone to complaining online, I think if the case was bad it would be all over the place.
Reminds me a lot of the Nillkin case I have for my Xperia S. I might have to order it. Though I really like the feel of the ion without any case. Such a nice phone and great build.

I went ahead and bought the incipio silicrylic case. Pretty pleased with it so far. Only issue is the piece on the left side above the usb/hdmi port is really, really thin. I'm pretty sure that will be the first part to break.
Other than that, it's a really nice fitting, well made case. It even makes the buttons easier to push.

Not really on par with the best Otterbox but it seems like it'll protect my phone pretty well. The plastic is thick and hard *laughs out of immaturity*. I have a thing for breaking my screens and the case has a lip around the front of the phone so I'm not too worried about the screen on this phone.

for those of you who lovr bigger phones or tablets/e readers...then the FlyGrip is the accessory for you. the FlyGrip goes on the back of your device and allows you to have a firm grip of your device and doubles as a kickstand. check out the site

I've seen this and reviews a while back but it's not my cup of tea... Though I can say that for anyone other than past loyal customers $30 is probably too high a price. Cost of materials can't be more than $5-$10. I'm really not trying to be **** either just stating my 2¢

yeah exactly. i couldn't agree more @
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
The product isn't worth $30 but they have a patent pending on it. I own one and i have to say, i love using it. I swapped back to my old Incipio Sillicrylic because I was in an environment that need the extra cover. After I got home, i swapped back to the Flygrip right away. I like that it doesn't bulge my phone up all around and i can touch every part of the screen without feeling that i'll slip the phone through my hands and end up in mud/water/concrete. It took me a while to get used to putting my fingers through it. in the end, i'm satisfied.
It's a little steep in price, but I was more than willing to pay for it and might buy another since mine is just slightly large. It is really useful and I get so many comments on it. Plus it's really cool that it doubles as a stand in both landcape and portrait modes. My only regret is that it definitely means it will be inconvenient to do the wireless charging hack and I think it might interfere with Google wallet. In the wireless charging hack the phone must sit flush with the charging pad and it may be the same with using Google wallet to pay via PayPass. I'm still looking into that last one.
yeah that's my only complaint as well and if it interferes with S Beam, etc

the double sided tape is from 3M so it should stick no problem unless the outer shell is soft. but that's going to be pretty thick attaching the flygrip to it. i'm using the flygrip solo and it feels very secure. i haven't dropped my phone(knock on wood).

Switch to a trident, the case you're using has damaged my phone in the past, the top piece had raised imperfections on the inside which leave marks on the outside of your screen.

I was about to start a thread and remembered there already was one. So since this thread I've noticed a large increase in the number of fake lifeproof's, I'm assuming some company in china got the specs and started making replicas. Looks like the prices are in the $40 to $50 range, so who's going to be the guinea pig and buy one? Part of me wants to try it since the real lifeproof cases cost $80, but another part of me thinks that its stupid to spend $50 on something that could be complete crap. Especially if it ships from china or hong kong, if I don't like it I'd have to pay the shipping all the way back. Plus I'd have to wait 3 weeks just to get it and possibly another 3 weeks to get the refund........
Anybody want to sponsor me? I'll put a big pictorial and detailed review?
LifeProof
I'll be ordering one from a US Seller for a slightly higher markup. I can post a video review on Youtube, and here as well. I'll get it some time next week, as I'll probably order it with my birthday money or when my paycheck comes in. And hey, if you want to push $5 towards the cause, I wouldn't be opposed They look exactly like the iPhone version, even down to the packaging and colors available. one seller even mentioned that they aren't LifeProof branded, but had a 1 month return/refund/warrenty. In addition, Paypal and my bank offer a certain amount of time to make sure a product actually works (3 or 6 months, I think). I'm game for giving it a shot!
I imagine that the install would be the same as for an iPhone... and I'd want to check the seals BEFORE installing my phone... that'd be really sad.
Found it but it's not on lifeproof website.

Right, that's the whole point of this entire thread. These are FAKE or replicas or whatever you want to call them, that's why this thread got started. That's why they only cost $40 to $50 dollars. That's why some of them are from CHINA. I think I'll probably end up buying one of these once I find a white one that's being sold here in the US. I know they all are probably being made in the same place in Hong Kong or somewhere but I don't see any reason to order something and wait for a month for it to get here.
