Gpu/cpu overclock htc one x? - HTC One X

Why do no kernels support gpu/cpu overclock for this phone? I have tried lots of different kernels but why do they only go up to 1.5ghz cpu and can't change gpu?

What's better or best for over clocking

Just curious im using set CPU (paid) and I stumbled apon no frills. Just curious what are the differences and what ones better?

Not much difference except in setcpu you can set profiles so in different states the cpu can be changed. Eg. Whilst charging you have set min cpu clock and max cpu clock, however whilst screen off the max is 768 mhz

They do the same.
But in No Frills you can change the I/O scheduler.
I got both installed, but use SetCPU only, I prefer the sliders and it has a nice widget.

Cpu app handling Tegra 3?!

Hey guys,
Quick question :
Is there any app out there being able to handle the Tegra 3 processor?
So we can underclock the cpu and change govenors?!
Thanks in advance

[Q] Good app for overclocking?

What are good apps for overclocking the GN?
No-frills CPU.

Hi,
Free or paid apps?
Set CPU,CPU Master,CPU Tuner,System Tuner,etc...
It also depends on what kernel you're running, for example Francisco Franco,Morfic and Glados kernel have their own apps for overclock and many other settings.
But some kernel settings may not be compatible with the other apps...
In any case if it's just for overclock it's good.
Personally I would recommend System Tuner or Set CPU.
My favourite is SetCPU, due to the ability to create profiles.

[Q] Question about governor and I/O scheduler.

What kind of governor and I/O scheduler do you recommend for Gio? (Canadian Model)
PS: I use Delano's Kernel + intext4+ script and i'm on Aurora 3 ROM
Smartassv2 with I/o sio. Fyi I'm not using canadian gio

Doesn't matter what model.
For full stability and performance:
Max clock freq. = 800 (if there's 806, choose 806)
Min clock freq = The lowest value
Governor = lagfree
I/O Scheduler = sio
For full stability and performance and battery:
same as above and:
Governor = SmartassV2
I got some lag if I set the min clock to lowest value so I choose 2nd lowest lol
Edit: I got no lag with smartassv2, sio, and set to lowest min cpu freq (122Mhz)

i stick to max 844 min 320 with smartassv2

Smartassv2 with SIO and Max Clock 825mhz (there is no 805 / 806MHz) Min Clock 122mhz is the best?

lol.
I've reached 920 without immediatly rebooting.
902 is stable.
902 is stable for you ?
it is, but for some 940 is. but thats realky the highest you can get.
it is different in every hardware, and not rom or kernel, unless it is unstable. you just need a bit of luck..

I use SmartAssv2 with min cpu 245 and max cpu 800. I`m scared to overclock it. Working very good until now and the battery is also good. I use DebianDroid rom.
lol i will never overclocked my cpu

Set CPU

I have set CPU and CM10 but on Set CPU I can change the minimum CPU but if I change the max out doesn't actually change the number below it that says max. I switched to another rom and had the same problem but on regular 4.1.2 I don't have the problem. I was thinking a new kernel might help but I don't know if it would and I don't know any custom kernels.

have you tired using something other than set cpu ?? rom toolbox? trickster mod? any other kernel tuner should work just fine
I tried voltage control and had the same issue and even in cm10 I change the max CPU but it didn't really work

have you tried changing your kernel
No I can't find any kernels that support underclocking for my phone
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121546 go there and make sure you download the correct one i would use ROM toolbox or trickster mod anything besides set cpu and/or then use your performance settings to underclock and kernel you can under clock i would ditch set cpu thats a dated program there is far superior ones
How do I flash it sorry Noob?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Find the proper 4.1 kernel for your set up and flash in recovery like you would a ROM and reboot
