[SOLVED] SanDisk 64GB - Keep losing access, having to remove/replace. - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just upgraded to a 64GB card and having some issues. Assumed it was the ROM I was using but seem to have same issue on all.
I keep losing access to my external 64 GB card and I have to remove/replace to gain access again.
Is anybody else having this issue with 64GB cards?
SOLVED: Looks like latest bootloader does not properly support exFAT so had to reformat to FAT32

microSD card locking up phone

I got a 16GB microsdhc card for my Huawei U8100 but it is causing my phone to constantly freeze. is there anything I can do to fix this?
I did all of the following:
-Format using Panasonic SDFormatter
-Reinstall the Android ROM
-Checked to see if the phone supports 16GB and it does.
So what can I do to fix this? Can I check if the card is corrupt or fake? What programs should I use?
What memory card is it? Brand please? Class speed of the card?

SD Card Issues

I have been having problems switching from a 4gb sd card to a 32gb sd card in my htc one v. The 4 gig runs perfectly fine in my phone but I need more space so I switched to the 32gb card.
The problem I am having is almost instantly after putting in the 32gb card my phone starts lagging on just about everything. Load times take longer, the phone has more graphical glitches etc. I tried formatting the card to nfts and running paragon software to use that file type. Still no hope. I also partitioned the card to 16gb and free space for the other half and still no luck really. Though I did see some improvement.
Is it just that I got a bad sd card? Note that it works with my laptop and also in my pc perfectly fine, the phone just seems to not like the card or larger file size. Has anyone else gotten a 32gb sd card to work in their htc one v?
Thanks
Derek
Yes my 32 gb transcend class 4 works perfectly,no lags, try formatting it with fat32 with the help of your pc like I told you once before.

I have an ADATA 32gb class 10 card. I will try that
Edit: Ever since I tried partitioning the sd card with MiniTool Partition Wizard the card won't show up on my pc. The software says that it is a (Bad Disk). Note that I can use the card perfectly fine on my macbook pro and the phone also recognizes the card. If I put the card into my phone and connect with USB it works fine.

[Q] SD Card Encryption

Hello. I've encrypted my sd card and have been dealing with occasional images and videos files being corrupt and not being able to be read. I have a SanDisk Ultra 64GB microSDXC Card (Class 10/U1). I've formatted this card in the phone and is now formatted using the SD Formatter using my PC but with the same outcome. Would rooting this phone have anything to do with corrupt files or could it possibly be my SD Card? Or maybe perhaps the encryption method used by the phone is just not reliable?
Any help is much appreciated.
In the meantime, I've decrypted my phone so let's see if there are any reliability changes.
Update: I got a new replacement and have the same damn problem. I have turned off SD Card encryption and it has been good so far.
Could you please suggest something equivalent in the event my phone is lost or stolen? I have TrustGo installed and do believe it can wipe my phone but not the data on the SD card.

System reboots when installing application with external SDXC

I am running CIVZ v3.5 ROM (4.2.2) with an external Toshiba 64GB SDXC card (exFAT format).
Every time I tried to update an app with Play Store, the system will reboot. If I install the apk instead, it will say insufficient memory. However, once I remove the external SDXC card, everything installs normally.
Is there anybody with a similar problem? Any suggestions to use the external SDXC card normally with Note 8.0? I tried formatting the card to FAT32, but it always say the card is corrupt and asks me to format (back to exFAT).
Thanks.
what if you unmount the card instead of removing it, before installing.
I am running a 64 Gig sdxc in exfat and do not have such issues.
however, Do you have a lot of apps moved: app > sd card ?
On One of my Older samsung devices similar used to happen when you moved more than a certain number of apps to sd card.
Solution was to slowly move few apps back to local memory until the problem went away. May or may not work for you though.
I don't have any apps moved to the external sd card. Sometimes the SD card would show up as 0GB under "storage."
I have checked for errors, but can't find any. Used h2testw and the card is indeed 64GB.
Hello, fellows! Please be so kind to inform whether there is an option for note 8 to switch the data between internal memory & sd-ext. Similar to this issue, but for note 8: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1857391
Found some manuals, but they all ask to flash the device with new rom. I would prefer to create sd-ext card via PC. Is it possible?
Any ways to use sd card as the apps storage place are of great demand!
Thank you all in advance! ,)

128GB MicroSDXC in XOOM?

does anyone know if the new SanDisk 128GB MicroSDXC will work in the XOOM?
i know the 64GB works depending on your ROM and the filesystem you format it - but is there any hardware limitation that would prevent the 128GB from working?
thx

Not that I'm aware of. In fact, I just recently installed one. Seems to be working well. Just use an OTG cable to plug in a card reader, copy all of your data from the external card you have now to the new card. Afterwards, unplug the reader. Unmount your old card. Remove the old external. Plug in the new one you've created, reboot to recovery, and mount the new card. You should be good to go..
The file system up to Android 4.2.2 Was different, as it would allow you to install and use your external sdcard for both programs and data. My experience when I upgraded to Android4.4 though, had been that you need to use your main memory to install programs to, and that you need to place data on the external sdcard.
Hope this answers your question.
Blessings,
Rob
