Hey, this is a little bit noob question, I actually didn't find the answer from google search and I have to go sleep really soon..
So my questions is that can I deodex the odexed OTA JB ROM by removing .odex files? then do I have to replace these apps or what..?
I don't see odex file in /system/bin/ which was in Gingerbread ROM on ZTE Blade.. so the init.rc does not need editing?
You need to actually deodex the apps themselves. Just removing the .odex will not work.
There should be updated apps to deodex apps from within windows. Just Google "howto deodex"

Here it is
I am rooted and running stock with the latest OTA from [ROM] Team VeNuM - STOCK L900VPALJC - DEODEXED. I would like to install LBE PG but it causes a boot loop in JB. From what I can tell most of these types of program are causing boot loops, even the latest LBE Security Manager
PDroid looked interesting but requires CM10.
So what if anything is everyone doing to control the permissions of applications?
Doc
Bump
Any suggestions?

Hello XDA Friends,
What I got here is a working DSP Manager for 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Its a flashable zip that will add the correct files in system folder for the app to work
Note:This Zip Will Delete MusicFX.apk And Replaces It With DSPManager.apk
Confirmed and tested working:
CM 10.2
Slimbean 4.3
ParanoidAndroid
Stock Roms
Nexus 4
Galaxy Nexus
Nexus 7
Nexus 7 (2013)
Galaxy S4
Galaxy S3
Galaxy S2
It should also work for other 4.3 Roms
Instructions:
1. Download Attached File http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2173281&stc=1&d=1375933426
2. Copy Into Your Phones SdCard
3. Reboot/Boot Into Recovery (CWM/TWRP)
4. Flash DSP.zip
5. Wipe Cache, Davik Cache and Fix Permission
6. Reboot
Changelog:
Updated Libs to latest CM Source
DSP Manager v2.0
Universal Flash
All credits and thanks goes to the Cyanogenmod Team for creating this wonderful app!!
Did not work for me. Using AOSP 4.3. Flashed and DSP manager never showed up in app drawer.
Installed on a stock rom, Android 4.3. In the application list, DSP manager has not appeared. In the setting of Google music player is not.

I had to manually move all of the files to the correct place, for this to work. I think your script is missing a lot of stuff.
Also move by manually and all works.

Not Working On SGS 2 Stock Based ROM
Tested on SGS2 Philz kernel, Not working. FCs and mutes audio completely.
So I'm using a custom rom.
But the thing I don't like about custom roms is that the stock Huawei Camera app is not working properly.
I used a custom rom because in the stock rom, I can't use pie control because of the dropzone thing. I also cannot use xposed installer. I already updated/installed the latest framework but it still can't use any modules.
Any idea how to solve these problems? I can't search anything about these (or maybe I was not searching deep enough?)
Advanced thanks for those who can help
