Really sorry for off-topic but I'm going to buy a nexus. I know it has 1GB RAM but actually how much RAM is usable? I try to find some About phone screenshot but found only this:

Only 693MB, really? In LG L9 (nearly similar specs) it has more than 800MB RAM

In all seriousness. It is probably a lot of work.. And if it is even working in probably wouldnt be optimized so there would be very little improvement..

There are superram kernels with around 800 mb ram. But I have never had issues with the normal ram..

Someone should port it to.cm7
What's the point of creating a new thread here when this is all over the "Android General/Software/Development" forum? I mean no offense to you but it's better not to expand this already seamless forum...
Peace.
I think its because gb is getting old.....although its still holds more than 50% of the market , people hav shifted their attention to ics more.

I agree.
Wrong post...
Was just having a look on the Official Android Develops site (http://developer.android.com) and noticed google had added a tool which allows you to upload your screenshots, and the tool automatically overlays them onto the screen of your device.
They only list the Pure Google devices, Nexus 4,7,10 and the older models etc, but it is still really handy. Even has options for shadow and glare.
Maybe I'm just late to the game, but I had never seen this before? Will certainly make posting in homescreen threads a lot easier.

It's certainly a tool I will be using a lot, so I hope this is of some assistance to others too :good:

A much more simple way for doing this is the app called "Device Frame Generator"
+ it does contain more devices.
via my ∞ awesome Nexus 4
New to me as well. Thanks for sharing.

What did you find out? Is it any good? Or does it drain battery like a mf
Another good one is Utter.

Nice, Thanks @kevtrysmoddin
Seems interesting. But seems like it would drain a lot of battery!

Its awesome if you have the extended battery which I don't so the battery drain is more than what I'm willing to allow Lol
As commented above utter is a good alternative that consumes less battery and brings similar features

Though it will increase the capacity of battery, but you have messed up the look of a beautiful device.

Yep yep. If you're heavy on your device, especially with games or traveling, an extended battery is fantastic. Had one for my Atrix 4G and used the Droid RAZR MAXX batter in my Atrix HD and was more than happy with the outcome. Hope you're enjoying it!

does zero lemon case or some other extended battery back fit?
Super Battery
I also got one of this extended batteries and i need to say it works great. Is indispensable for thkse moments when you knok you gonna have some time to spend with your cell but not jukce available around. Butwhen i know i will not have time for it i just simply swirch to the original one. Are like dresses. :good:
My another phone galaxy tab 3 is lagging very much. Dunno why but even after the restore factory, it continues lagging. Do you guys think rooting will help me out? Need some experts advice.
Sent from my A110Q using xda app-developers app
First of all, try to use Greenify in order to hibernate unwanted bloatware , or try to shut them off using 'app info' for each app (can be reached from system->app management (see attached pic)
Anyway, rooting your device will allow you to completely remove unwanted apps, and to flash custom roms which, most of the time, performs much better than official ones- but in a cost of potentially voiding your warranty...

Should do better than that! I run stock and all is fine. Quite smooth actually. I have removed bloatware now as well. I'm wondering if something is wrong with your tablet. I bought an asus with a quad core and the thing was slower than a turtle. I took it back and got my samsung t310.
Yes stock ROM is fine, with rooted tab and custom kernel runs really nice. The only thing about the rooting is that you loose OTA and with KK comming soon I hope developers will find a workaround !
...enjoy ur Tab 3
