Was just having a look on the Official Android Develops site (http://developer.android.com) and noticed google had added a tool which allows you to upload your screenshots, and the tool automatically overlays them onto the screen of your device.
They only list the Pure Google devices, Nexus 4,7,10 and the older models etc, but it is still really handy. Even has options for shadow and glare.
Maybe I'm just late to the game, but I had never seen this before? Will certainly make posting in homescreen threads a lot easier.
Link is http://developer.android.com/distribute/promote/device-art.html
It's certainly a tool I will be using a lot, so I hope this is of some assistance to others too :good:

A much more simple way for doing this is the app called "Device Frame Generator"
+ it does contain more devices.
via my ∞ awesome Nexus 4
New to me as well. Thanks for sharing.

Hello folks,
I came from the T-Mo S3 Subforums and there I have a small "workshop" for custom graphics, that being said I am not a PRO designer, I'm constantly learning by designing! If you guys are interested in custom lock-screens and wallpapers; gimme a shout at my shop here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1838809
Again, I am not a professional, hopefully you guys can help me out!
You can read more about my story on the official thread.
Thanks guys! Appreciate it!
I posted this in AT&T as well and here!
[MODS; if this is in the wrong place please redirect me to the right place, since the native forums is T-Mo, thanks!
He's very helpful and takes request with acceptance and does them fairly quick. Here's a screen shot of my lock screen. Edit: the last one didn't look very good at all looking at it on the phone.

So this is my Nexus 7's wallpaper, I was wondering if someone could change the 7 to a 4 so that I can use it for my Nexus 4.
Thanks anyone who is willing to help, if not thanks anyways.

I can give you a version where I edit the Red thing in the .pst file i have when i get home, you can edit it into your post since you came up with the idea
for me for later reference "ice cream sandwich/jelly bean blue = #33B5E5"
Thought I'd share this link that I recently found. It's a site where you can generate your own wallpaper, like one of those in the nexus 4 ads.
http://wagerfield.github.io/flat-surface-shader/
Hit "export" in the right hand panel after adjusting the options to generate your wallpaper.
Here is two examples that i've generated:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I couldn't come up with a better title so i will let it be if no one else has a better suggestion.
Cool thanks
[DEVICENEXUS⁴] [ROMXYLON] [KERNELMATR1X] [RECOVERYTWRP]
Bit confused here, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the title seems misleading. This seems more like a "custom wallpaper generator" Lol I like it tho! Thanks for the link :-/

hello guys,
am playing a bit with tasker, and I ended up making this application, I found very useful, clean my screen with one click, and with another click, the more I use in my screen ..
Is not totally ready, I'm looking for help, and also ideas, as you want to help someone, you are welcome, I'm not a developer, I know very little programming, so I think this idea in the hands of a developer, and new ideas that can be great ....
some screens:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Observations:
this app was done on a 4.2 rom (Paranoid), so do not expect everything to work if your rom is different .. (but most works).
Install the app, this need plugins, download them:
Overlays: The best app of 2013 for me, very helpful, still in development, some disappearances of widgets to add, try again if this happens .. (always place the widget first portait, then in landscape).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39784494 --thanks the dev for nice app!!
this no longer in google play, so I'm providing here to download
Locale execute Plug-in
Notes Widget
Desk Notes
For the widgets appear in the app, you should make them with the same names cited here: (Overlay).

HyperColor in an LWP utilizing Fluid Dynamics algorithm.
Its fully configurable, there are 38 presets and 40 backgrounds, 16 particle types.
It allows you to create simple bokeh effect with your own color sheme, or some more complicated theme,
there are about 10 diffrent properties you can change, glow, viscosity, particle size etc..
Stir it well and have fun!!.
anybody ?
I'll give it a whirl when I get home for ya!

Looks nice, but all the Youtube vids are private.
If you want me to try it and give you an honest opinion, you'll have to give me something that doesn't lock me out of basically all the customization options.
Video is private..

Downloaded it, looks pretty nice. The preset screen shots are a little small tho when i was looking through them. Ill play with it some more tho.
How much is the full version before I even bother wasting my time.
