Hi guys,
I have N900t with Stok N9005 Rom & Complusion Kernel & Wifi/NFC/Blutooth Fix.
Everyting works perfect without NATIVE (GSM) Video Calling.
How Can I Fix it?

International ROMs have the option. I'm running Echoe ROM and have the video call button to the left of the standard call button on the dialer and also on contact pages.
If I try to place a video call, it brings up the video calling screen with options to switch camera or hide me, and says dialing, but then fails and asks if I'd like to try a voice call instead. I'm not sure if it fails because T-Mobile doesn't allow it, or if it's because the other party doesn't have native video calling (I don't think I know anyone who does).
OP, if you'd like to PM me, I can give you my number to see if it works between two parties with native video calling. At least that way we could determine whether or not it's a network limitation.

Video Calling

Hi everyone!
I was wondering how to make a normal carrier-based video call with my T-Mobile Galaxy S2. I have this phone unlocked in Costa Rica and my carrier's plan include video calling. However, I can't find an option in the dialing pad of this phone for video call or anything like that. I know I can make video-calls over Wi-Fi and 3G with Skype, Qik, Fringe, Tango, etc etc, but can I do a simple video call from the dialing pad or sort of with my phone?
Thanks a lot in advance
off hand the htc devices hav that but not samsung also i dont think they will ever hav that it was a nice feature to hav and i miss it too but to answer ur question it would be no only the apps do that now so that people can make money off of us

I can't find the Video option in stock dialer.
I am wondering too. I come from Galaxy S2 wich has the possibilty of video calls without any extra app. When i called a friend who has a htc Sensation XL we made a video call.
3g video calling
Phones like nokia 5800 etc were equipped with this facility and I have used it once. But latest HTC android are not having this option at all.

[Q] Anyone using call recording app ?

Hello Everyone,
I just want to know that Galaxy S6 is working fine with any android call recording app or not ?
Please let me know if any guy use total recall call recorder on same device.
Thanks in advance !!
Thanks for your spam, but the built-in recording works just fine.
Built-in recording doesn't record your calls that's what I think he's looking for
Callrecorder works fine..... As long as you are not on wifi calling. I spent a good few hours with it. You need to set a delay of 2 seconds on incoming and outgoing and your calls will work. By default if you have wifi calling enabled the call will drop as soon as the connection is established.

No, he's actually spamming for the app in his sig, which isn't necessary.

I've never experienced this, but then again I always manually record calls if needed.

Once you're rooted, add this line to feature.xml, save it and reboot.

Well I suppose I have been looking for a reason to root this phone. Guess this is it. And you can confirm that it does in fact record calls that are made over wifi? Also does it record all calls by default, or do you have to manually record each call?

Thanks

I have not yet found anything that will work when on wifi calling. Almost all of the call recording apps in the app store that support voice up link or voice communication seem to work for normal calling however.

native video calling

Does anyone know how to enable video calling from withing the phone dialer. I read that the Verizon version has it. and T-Mobile allows it so if I could get it to appear I'd imagine it would work.
My understanding is to get it to show up as an option you have to enable it on your Verizon account. If it isn't enabled then the phone won't show it. I went through the dialer and enabled it but it still didn't show up in the calling app until I enabled it with Verizon. Code for dialer is **#*#4636#*#**

See I have the one from Google, on T-Mobile and it worked on my note 7. I called and they said it was enabled. I wonder of anyone with T-Mobile has it working and can share their steps.
In that dialer code menu there is a toggle to enable it, just with Verizon it didn't make any difference and actually toggled it back off.

Same with T-Mobile, because it actually has to be provisioned.
I enabled HD calling on my Verizon account and the option now shows up

Hmmmm. I'll call T-Mobile and see if there's an option like that for me. Did you call and do that or is it something you did manually.
For Verizon, you have to have the My Verizon app and then the option shows if to enable it off the call settings menu

I called TMobile for my Pixel to get the video calling working. They checked menu setting (I already checked) and then told me I'd have to contact Google.
Google Duo
I'm on T-mobile using DU ROM and video calling works. If I pull up contact info I get the symbol for video calling.

Interesting. I wonder what the change is. This alone will prompt me to root. Although I prefer to manually commit the change than run a ROM.

Also on T-Mobile here with the symbol and tried calling someone using it. That person has an iPhone 7. After answering there was only audio. Do they need to have it enabled or have a different phone. Just curious.

You're correct even on DU it doesn't work. It looks like it works but when the person on the other end picks up the call video turns off.

In my experience the video calling only works when calling someone with a Android phone that also supports video calling on T-Mobile... For instance when I had my note 7 I could video chat my dad who had a s7 edge and my cousin with a V20 and even my cousin with a s7 edge on att.... But no iOS phones or Android phones without native support... This makes me wonder what in the code your ROM changed.

Apparently there is no native video calling on non Verizon pixels. Duo may be the closest since it is Google

No, they said to contact TMobile. TMobile tried to assume me to expect it in the future but without any timeframe.

Can't switch duo for native video calling.

Android 10, unlock bootloader on T-Mobile.
I have never install Google duo on my phone; now every time I try to video call someone on T-Mobile, this duo want to place the video call.
When people try to video call me, I'm listed as not having video call capacity.
Anyways to get TMobile video calling feature to work again?
I'm not on T-Mobile but is there another way to use T-Mobile video chat other than through the dialer? There's no separate app? And I'm guessing no possibility of getting people to switch to Duo right?
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Maybe try downloading and installing Duo (and/or another video calling app like Viber or Tango), then attempt to video call someone, and hopefully the OS will request/ask which video calling app to use, and you can say "Always" to the T-Mobile stock video calling app. Or, if that doesn't work, you can go to Duo's App Info and make sure to clear its "defaults". Worse case scenario is, since you have the ability to be rooted, clear the data of the T-Mobile stock video calling app and maybe it will re-initialize itself, or using something like Titanium Backup (or even manually through a root capable file explorer) and remove the T-Mobile stock video calling app, then re-install it or find an external .apk and use that to install...
Good luck and hope this helps...
Thank you for your reply,
I'll try downloading duo then making sure it's not the default application.
