[Q] Unbearable lag after recent Update - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hello,
recently I upgraded my Samsung Galaxy Grand phone with the 91MB update released by Samsung.
After that, what I found is that my phone lags a lot.
Also, when I receive any calls, it just doesn't notify or just vibrates, I cannot receive the calls.
Simply speaking, even after doing a hard reset, disabling apps, there is a lot of lag.
Help needed.

Just flash any 4.4.2 ROM and feel the power of kitkat if you have rooted your phone. Samsung updates are always laggy.

And on rr 5.0.3 using evolution kernel 1.5

You'll need to drop your version and region if you want better help.

[Q] Help!! Need Suggestions

I have been using the htc one V for 5 days now but the android gets very laggy and slow p.s my friend called me several times but I did not receive any call although the ringer keeps on ringing on my friend's phone. I love the stock android on the phone and the sense version but I want it to be a little faster. Is there any good rom based on the stock android or any other tweak to fix the stock one?

Issues with latest 4.3 update that need to be fixed?

In this thread, can we list issues with the new update so we all know what we might be getting into before we apply the update?
Many of us who would like to install the latest update are holding out for a while, because we know it could be buggy with issues that might make us regret installing the update. This is almost always the case, to a certain degree, with any update, and since T-Mobile is the last to get this highly anticipated update, we have learned from the other recent carrier updates that there are a few issues with the 4.3 roll-out, like: wake up lag, random freezing, battery drain, Bluetooth audio issues, stuttering music playback, freezes, poor multitasking, and WiFi issues. In our T-Mobile update we have some reports of an increase in battery drain rate, and then we have others reporting that this update is absolutely perfect. Well, nothing is perfect, and things only seem that way until scrutinized. So let's hear what is problematic with the new update. and let's be honest about it in an effort to help others who are trying to decide whether to wait or upgrade now.
So, starting off, what are the battery drains like compared to before the update?
Battery has the same duration

Certain Google Now commands tell me it's not available in my country. What's this song? and listen to my tv. I'm in the US and they both worked before 4.3

1 - this is a question, moved to Q and A
2- There are already two threads to discuss 4.3 already in existence...

I would venture these observations and issues are being discussed there, if there are any issues.

[Q] got software update today

I got software update today for galaxy tab pro 8.4. The file size was 188mb stating it's for system stability. Anyone got this update? Do you see any improvement in your system.?
I updated on my 12.2, feels the same to me.
I also got the update this morning. I was having issues with the touch sensitivity and even was about to send it back to Samsung (for the second time) for this problem. Now I'm getting much better control. Very happy about that! Everything else seems the same
When I "check for updates", I get "The software update service is not available. Maximum number of roll-out updates has been exceeded. Try later or update your device using Samsung Kies (www.samsung.com/kies)."
Which presumably means an update is available but not to me at the moment.

No random reboots here. None at all.
Yeah, I'm getting reboots when I put the tab to sleep or wake it up. But the damned sensitivity problem is gone.
I got the FW from samsung-updates.com.
Rich
no reboots here. been running like a champ.
anyone who doesn't suffer from Random reboots, are you rooted?
also those who suffer from reboots, are you all rooted?
My the Theory: I think this reboots are related to being rooted or have knox void.
I am not rooted, everything pretty much stock and no reboots

Going back for repair a second time....
After the update I did notice a change in my screens touch response and kept telling myself how much better it was, and that it was fixed. Until I used a first gen Nexus 7 for an hour. NO selections were made unless I choose it, NO double letters when typing, and NO worries when on Facebook or Google Play store. Using my Tab Pro after the 7, was like using some off branded tablet companies first attempt at the touch screen. So it's going back to the repair facility for the second time, ridiculous. . .
I'm not new to Samsung, I had a Tab 3 8.0 before the Pro, my Galaxy s5 works well, and even the Tab 3 7.0 I bought for my little girl works smoothly.
Anyone still having touch screen issues? Anyone sent their Tab Pro out for service?

[Q] Should I update my Note 3 neo

Hi guys,
I just bought a note 3 neo today and was wondering if it's worth updating to kitkat. I've seen a lot of people saying mixed things about it. Also I seem to have a problem of, it rebooting randomly or just shutting down even. Will updating fix this problem?
thanks
few features will go away after the kitkat update.. namely smart stay and smart pause and screen hovering features also the file operations would be restricted for 3rd party apps.. you wont be able to delete/move/copy files in apps like ES explorer, etc.. you will have to do file operations in stock file manager only after the Kitkat update..

Update to OTA Official 5.03 or stay on Nougat?

Hello
Is the Oreo update better than Nougat or does the performance or battery of the phone go down when compared to 7.0?
Coming for a Samsung S7 and with that phone I ended up downgrading to 6.0 from Nugat because Nougat was running the phone laggy. With this mentality I assume that updates in general typically make phone performance worse and I haven't yet updated to Oreo.
Battery life is good on 5.0.3 but I like many others suffering from poor in call audio missed calls as phone doesn't ring or very quiet I didn't notice this on 7.1 hopefully fix on way soon

For me everything else is good other than phone not ringing issue which happens occasionally when I use my Bluetooth handsfree in a WhatsApp call.
Battery life is definitely better for me.
5.0.4 fixed all that

No wipe needed. Just browse the threads here on xda and you'll find the right procedure on how to migrate
I'm an app horder and have quite a few apps, everything was working fine on Nougat, when I updated to 5.0.3 I had an odd issue where my app list locks up and freezes for about 60 seconds.
This happens for apps like titanium backup & es explorer, or even the android settings app list.
now on 5.0.4 same problem.
Anyone else getting this same problem ?
