Hi, I have a problem. When I start watching movie from my smartphone or any videos from internet, It's show just half screen, same with pictures. When I rotate screen working fine.
Maybe someone know where is a problem? software fault? hardware fault? Any suggestions?
Well you're not alone... just recently I've been having the same problem.... when I look at some pictures only half the picture shows up until I switch to landscape then it's fine... don't know what it could be...

if you look at the bottom under my dock icons it started doing thus a couple days ago. Not sure if my digitizer is going but if i reboot it goes away.

that looks to be a row of funky lookin pixels, which would be the screen, not the digitizer... the digitizer just registers touch input and does not actually display anything, it just is an overlay over the screen.... as to how to troubleshoot the problem I would grab LCD test from the market and go from there

Playing Sherlock Holmes here... but of it was a problem with the physical screen, I'd imagine it wouldn't show in a screen shot, which implies its something the app can actually capture. I'd try a different rom and see how it goes.
Just an idea

Dude crazy good logic, I was thinking he had a row of stuck pixels or something but you're 100% right, that'd not show up at all in the screencap, I also didn't notice it went away on reboot, I'm thinking that was an edit of the op

I just noticed this now because I wanted to use the feature but my Rogers SGS3 can't take pics during video. The buttons not even there. I thought we were supposed to have that feature. Anybody else have that? Fix?

I thought that while recording video all you had to do was touch the screen to take pics?
That just causes it to refocus on that area.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Are you sure? I don't think you can manually focus during video recording. Taping the screen during recording looks like it is refocusing the camera but that is in fact the animation it makes when it is snapping a still during recording. No sound, no sliding to the side animation like when taking photos. Just that slight focusing effect to let you know you it worked.
Check your gallary.
Not working, tried that. Just refocusing the video. You can see a button on the bottom right that says AF to establish AF again. No pictures in the gallery.

I am on rogers and can take pictures during video.
when making a video all you do is press the little camera icon beside the red record button
I noticed that it says nexus so iam guess your not on stock rogers?
I'm with rogers using a custom rom and that feature is there

That is odd. Sorry I was of no help. Not sure what the issue is and unfortunately I'm not on a stock rom so I cant dig thru the cam/settings to be of any help.
Can someone who is on a stock rom that is able to take stills while recording post a screen grab of their cam app to show what its supposed to look like?

I've seen pictures of what it supposed to look like. Just was hoping maybe there was an option I missed. Very frustrating.....
If you have anti shake turned on then the option to take pictures while video recording is not there. Simply turn off anti shake

I've had this phone for about a month and a half, and almost every single day I have to go into the sounds setting to disable the "screen touch sounds". Has anyone ever had that issue before? I have the phone set up the way I like it, and don't change anything in the settings anymore, but somehow I'll be going to do something and I hear that silly noise when I select something. I know it's not a big deal, but it drives me crazy. Any advice?

Same for me. I ended up going in with root explorer and replacing the sound files with silent files to stop the sound from coming back.

Happens to me every time I put the phone on vibrate and back on sound. It is annoying.

i havent had that problem at all, ever since i got the phone and rooted with phantoms blaze rom its been working flawlessly, no issues here.
I've noticed it only happens when you change the camera to video or back to camera. So its the camera modes turning it back on. Try it out for yourself.

I have the same problem with the key sounds as well, and I also have the same problem with the hectic feedback. I have no idea what it is, but it's a small problem...

yep, you nailed the cause of the problem. I also have the same issue. It seems this is a pretty common problem on sgs3
I can't seem to upload the video, pics only it seems, but it looks like its shifting left and right quickly while the video remains smooth. Like the player is going nuts or something.
I'm a floating space-cat Cadet.
It happens on mine only when the antishake is ENABLED. It's driving me crazy.

I talked to Samsung about it and they said it could be a software error and they want me to send it in for repairs. The shaking only happens when Anti-Shake is ON and it makes the video hard to watch, it kind of looks like a small earthquake.
When watching YouTube for example...the screen closes after a minute.....which is my screen timeout
I never had an issue with other phones....how can I solve this? Any app? I basically have to touch my screen every minute. Did this with video player to

You have to raise your screen timeout in settings.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Is this happening in the YouTube app or in the browser? Specifically chrome? Had this issue as well. If I touch the screen ton activate controls, the video would reappear, telling me it was more of an overlay issue then screen timeout.
Only solutions were to unintelligible chrome updates. But now I'm not having any issues with the custom 4.3 build by dvhexer. Awesome ROM. Worth checking out.
