Hi guys,
i'm following this guide by Restl3ss on how to install his custom rom on the galaxy tab 3 GT-P5200
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590713
Now here is the problem:
I follow the instructions
1. Uncheck auto reboot... Flash twrp via Odin
2. Flash root.zip from recovery
3. Set up tab so is perfect
4. Backup via twrp
5. Only factory reset from twrp - NEVER data or system you will loose important stuff!!
6. Flash pimpdroid - no wipe no wipe cache
7. Reboot
Steps 1,2,4,6,7 are ok. Step 3 i can't understand what he means and step 5 i don't understand if he means that it has to be done or is optional (by the way i did both)
Anyway when i do the last reboot many pop-ups come to the screen saying that various services stopped working and some apps just crash when i try to run them. I tried to clear cache, do factory reset and wipe, but nothing worked.
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks
Edit:
The popups say:
"Unfortunately, Google Search has stopped."
"Unfortunately, Google Play services has stoppet"
"Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped."
"Unfortunately, com.sec.android.app.FlashBarService has stopped."

Hi,
After flashing CM10 successfully, I apparently flashed the wrong GAPPS zip, so I got the endless "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped" loop, through which I can only access the time functions using the dropdown.
I tried re-wiping and reflashing, but that apparently just leads to the 0/0/0 nesting issue, and doesn't seem to actually wipe/reflash.
"adb devices" only reads when I'm in recovery mode, and doesn't appear to accomplish anything.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks,
Erik
1) Flash the latest CWM or TWRP via fastboot to avoid further "0 folder" issues
2) Go into the recovery
3) Do a full wipe (system, cache, dalvik)
4) Flash the CM10 ROM again or any other ROM you already have on your sdcard and ready to be flashed
5) Flash the correct Gapps if you already have it on your sdcard, or just reboot into the CM10 then download the correct Gapps to flash later via Goo Manager app which finds the correct version of Gapps automatically.
Hope this works
Hi, can someone tell me which GApps install on Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195 with CM12.1. I have tried a lot of GApps and none of them seem to work, everytime I reboot I get a message saying "Google Play Services has stopped working".
If I do a fresh install formatting /system and only install CM12.1 everything works just fine. But always GApps crash my phone. I don't know what to do. Please help me.
Hi,
I have almost (unfortunately google partner setup has stopped) the same error today after flashed clean snapshot but i resolved with this method:
Empty the Cache of the system app Google Play services
Navigate in the following submenu:
Menu --> Settings --> Applications --> Application Manager --> tab "All"
Search here for the entry "Google Play services". Tap it once to display detailed information about this app on the screen of your smartphone. In this window, you will now find a button with "Clear Cache". Tap on the button, so that the cache is flushed. Then restart your Android smartphone.

Click to collapse
I've always used GApps recommended by the developer, in this case i used this:
Open GApps CyanogenMod - use Mini, Micro, Nano or Pico it your choice what app you want installed directly.
Good luck
Hi,
I've got just this problem, following on from upgrading from CM11 (long-time user of this) to CM12.1. I've found huge numbers of posts, both here and elsewhere, with people experiencing GApps crashing constantly on start-up with CM12.1. Most of the responses recommend different sources of GApps, or different orders in which things should be wiped/formatted and then installed, etc. I have tried cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO336-serranoltexx.zip and cm-12.1-20151008-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO34N-serranoltexx.zip. I've tried gapps-L-5-1-15, gapps-5.1-arm-2015-07-17-13-29, open_gapps-arm-5.1-mini-20151018, Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.1.build.0.x-20151016, tk_gapps-modular-mini-5.1.1-20151004-signed. I've done a full format of /system on each re-install, plus formats of /data, /cache, Dalvik cache (both before and after installs of CM12.1 and various GApps). No matter what, I always have the problem of all GApps crashing continuously as soon as the phone boots.
I'm absolutely stuck. I'm all googled-out. If anyone can offer any more things for me to try in order to get GApps installed and working under CM12.1 on my i9195, I'd be really grateful.
UPDATE

Problem fixed! The issue was CWM Recovery. I had v6.0.3.something (I think) installed from quite some time ago. I found a post where someone stated this was the cause of the GApps installation problem. I replaced it with twrp-2.8.6.0-serranoltexx-f2fs (not easy, since my Linux laptop didn't want to see the phone in fastboot mode - eventually had to boot up a Win7 machine and install Odin v3.09). From there I was able to wipe everything, install cm-12.1-20151008-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO34N-serranoltexx and gapps-L-5-1-15, and then everything worked!
I have no idea why one recovery image would work and the other wouldn't. I'd have thought installing a zip was not something that could go wrong. Clearly not!
Hope someone finds this info helpful.
Hi,
after giving 4.4.2-StockROM a (long) try, I wanted to install [SM-T31X][5.1.1] CyanogenMod 12.1 unofficial build (by tohenk).
I followed the instruction for TWRP-Installation and the one for CM12.1 by tohenk.
Doing so, I installed TWRP via Odin 3.09 (successful).
To root the T310, I had to install the zip "ROOT_SGT3_8.0.zip". (also successful)
Reentering TWRP to flash the CM12.1-zip, I selected the file from internal SD-Card, getting a warning that the file shall not be compatible - having had the same with the root-zip, i swiped to install.
Resulting in the error (got a screenshot, but can't link it - to few posts):
"Can't install this package on top of incompatible data. Please try another package or run a factory reset.
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/fw/cm-12.1-20151018-UNOFFICIAL-lt01wifi.zip'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/fw/cm-12.1-20151018-UNOFFICIAL-lt01wifi.zip"
... as offered by TWRP, i reset the Dalvik-Cache, rebooted. All Apps have been reinitialized, rebooted again into TWRP, getting the same Error.
So I installed philz_touch_6.08.9-lt01wifi.zip - but getting the same Error...
At the moment, I'm stucked with rooted StockROM...
..what did I miss?
(thanks for any help)

Edit:
Found the error:
prepareing the Flash-Procedure, I did a "factory reset" from within StockROM-Settings.
After performing a Factory-Reset out of PhilzTouch and wiping Dalvik-Cache (without rebooting the GT3 after Wiping), I was capable to install the CM12.1-zip, which runs perfectly fine now...
(somewhere it should be mentioned "do the factory reset from recovery, not from within ROM"
tohenk: you did a wonderful Job on the CM12.1-ROM! Thank you!!
I'm having the same issue.... so I installed Philz_touch_6.19.3 but I still can't flash any of the ROM's for T310...
Do you have any suggestions?
My tablet start up to SAMSUNG TAB 3 logo and stuck there...
Hello guys, I need some advice ...
I have an ace with two previously a CM11, I proceeded through odin restore with original ROM JB (I8160XXNA1_I8160ITVNA1_HOME.tar) and then, once combed the new rom I proceeded to install the new rom and kernel Ace2Nutzer with this procedure:
Wipe Cache + wipe data / factory reset
Go advanced
wipe Dalvik cache
go back
install zip from sdcard
install zip from sdcard1
..then I selected the rom Ace2Nutzer (cm ROM: 20150714) and installed
..then I selected the patch Patch1 (for CM11: 20,150,714) and installed
..then I selected the gappps (HDPI_mini-gapps-kk-20150617-signed) and instllata
..then I selected kernel (latest ver 20151130) and installed
..then I selected parameters NovaThor (NovaThor Settings v1.6.6) and installed
go back and reboot system ..
At this point I figured all the phone ...
The rom is very good and congratulations for the work, but I have a problem; a low battery desktop nova flashes without background and then opens a window that says: android.system.mui the process was interrupted and I'm forced to turn off power button and put them in charge as the phone is not responding to commands
Someone kindly help me? I do not have practical installations rom, I run the right procedure of installing the kernel and rom?
Thank you
Anyone with this problem even on other rom?
I had CM13 on my Oneplus 3, and saw that there was an update. Turns out it was for CM14 and it wiped out my recovery(after further googling, I found out that it's a known issue - http://forum.xda-developers.com/onep...icial-t3497425). So I flashed the custom TWRP recovery from that.
Then I proceeded to flash my last working update of CM13, and the ARM64 6.0 Nano GApps immediately after. I then wiped my dalvic cache and rebooted. It started booting up and the preparing apps screen started loading. But when it finished and I was at the phone setup screen(the screen you get when you first buy a phone and have to choose language, wifi etc), it shows me an error named - "unfortunately the process android.process.media has stopped one plus 3 boot"
I looked the error up online and all results are to go into settings and modify google sync settings, or delete gallery cache etc. But I never even get to reach that point to try it. I flashed CM14 and ARM64 7.1 Nano Gapps to see if maybe that would work, but got the same error. Then I downloaded the last snapshot from CM site with their recovery, but same error.
Can anyone please help me?

Go back to TWRP --> FULL WIPE (also internal storage - save needed files on your pc before wiping) --> Clean installation of the favourited rom and you should be fine.

I wiped everything except internal memory. And although it gave me some error, I was able to reflash CM13 and Gapps to get the phone working again. Thank you so much!
