Are we going to see a port for our phone? I sure hope so. I am ready for a fresh UI.
I'd love this too. Hope then someone can port it from Nitro to the LU6200
any news on this port?

Hey guys, the source code for Android 2.3 is out. Even tough a lot of people say support isn't quiet well with lower end device but I believe is possible to port that is because Gingerbread does not make change to the system core but more like a feature update so I believe the hardware requirement won't change. Would be nice if any developers know how to port Android to try port this version. Sorry, unfortunately I don't know anything about porting Android but I will try help if I can. Btw u could check out the source here http://source.android.com/
Thanks in advanced
I'm sure if it can be done it will be, it might even be in the oven being baked! All of us are waiting and you are more than welcome to join us! This project is highly dependent on our support, regardless of how little.
@devs
Keep up the great work guys!
n-Joie!
Gingerbread is already in building, stinebd on his blog showed some pictures
Thanks guys for the support. Looking forward to stinebd's new release. I would try help out as well. And I hope the support for Raphael will continue to grow, that's what keeping me using the raphael for all these years.
Thanks,
You may try out Gingerbread-Alpha from here:

WAAAAAAY too many FCs to call it anything less than stable. Just an FYI... Nice to look at though... Glad someone else grabbed the black theme with transparent notification bar. Looks promising though...
Done!!! Alpha 2 released
I had a thought today while at work and wanted to try my hand at porting over the LiquidMetal rom from the Acer over to our phones. Now, I know this isn't something thats easy to do (especially if you've never done any dev work or port a rom over before, like me.), and I know that if I just wanted to get the rom to boot, I can just swap the kernel's out and the rom should at least boot.
I want to (hopefully) use jermaine151's rom over at the Droid Incred. forum as the rom to port over, but, I still havent asked him as this is still just an idea and I wanted some insight as to what Im doing to need to make this happen.
I know Im going to have to port over a lot of lib files and drivers for wifi and such, so, my question is what would I need so I can at least get this rom up and running?
Also, Im downloading the Source Code for LiquidMetal as I type this, but, I dont know which would be easier to work on, compiling from source or working on a direct port.
Any opinions on this? Any tips would be great.
EDIT: Nevermind. Someone is already working on a port over in the dev section and its bootable already.
Don't have anything to say but if you port liquid metal from acer to our G2 i will love you forever, even if it sounds gay.
Fly like a G2
Thanks. Hopefully I can get the ball rolling soon.

Hello P930 Devs,
Thank you for the great work so far. Things seams to be pretty stagnant for our phone waiting for CM9 stable and official ICS release.
A little background. I work for a PCB assembly shop and stumbled upon the AOKPCB ROM reading through other device's forums on XDA. I would love to port this ROM to our phone however I have no knowledge or experience to do this.
I was wondering if one of you would be willing to take this up as a project? I would be very grateful and will help in any way I can. Or hold my hand while I try and do this myself (I have no idea where to start ).
I've also contacted the ROM's team for support.
Thank you in advance for anyone willing to help.
Already supported LG devices:
LG Optimus 2X (p990)
LG G2x (p999)

Thanks NO!NO!. It's good to know that some work has been done for the AOKP on our phones. However it seams that that thread/ROM hasn't had any activity in a while.
I would love to pick up where they left off. However, as I mentioned before I'm not a developer and have no idea where to start but I am willing to learn.

It doesn't need NEON, all sources are available. I worked on it for the R a while ago. Compilation takes 5+ hours on a system that needs 2 hours for a full CM compilation, because the Gecko system is huge. I don't think it's worth putting time into it yet, it's still in a somewhat beta stage.

it will be good if we will have Firefox OS if someone can make it
i know 5hr is too much, but when you have time, can you compile for us new OS? thank you!
nnn
noone wants to try this rom? or someone if someone can tell us how to do it and we will compile if you don't have time ...
Since as I read around xda on other devices which are not project treble ready devs achieved to port it. Is it possible for lg g3 to get this port also and if someone is experimenting with project treble port for lg G3 how far has he/she gone?
P.s. I am willing to test if there is work in progress and a Dev needs testers.
