Since as I read around xda on other devices which are not project treble ready devs achieved to port it. Is it possible for lg g3 to get this port also and if someone is experimenting with project treble port for lg G3 how far has he/she gone?
P.s. I am willing to test if there is work in progress and a Dev needs testers.

Hello P930 Devs,
Thank you for the great work so far. Things seams to be pretty stagnant for our phone waiting for CM9 stable and official ICS release.
A little background. I work for a PCB assembly shop and stumbled upon the AOKPCB ROM reading through other device's forums on XDA. I would love to port this ROM to our phone however I have no knowledge or experience to do this.
I was wondering if one of you would be willing to take this up as a project? I would be very grateful and will help in any way I can. Or hold my hand while I try and do this myself (I have no idea where to start ).
I've also contacted the ROM's team for support.
Thank you in advance for anyone willing to help.
Already supported LG devices:
LG Optimus 2X (p990)
LG G2x (p999)

Thanks NO!NO!. It's good to know that some work has been done for the AOKP on our phones. However it seams that that thread/ROM hasn't had any activity in a while.
I would love to pick up where they left off. However, as I mentioned before I'm not a developer and have no idea where to start but I am willing to learn.
i have realized that no mainstream custom rom team is providing its flavor to lg g3 users (even after its specs are somehow more then that of samsung galaxy s5/one m8).. i know the reason might ber "not unlocked bootloader" but there already is a work around by team bump to bypass bootloader check.. i always have used paranoid rom on pretty much all older devices i had(and trust me, i loved i more then any rom out there);but sadly all i can do now is hit on my face with my flagship device as the team is not planning/yet have provided any official support/announcement!
please do consider or i will end up throwing this flagship device and take s5(with lower specs) just for PA :|

Why should we have to buy devices with official support for a free rom? I'd much rather make donations or create a kickstarter for G3 support from PA.
Yes PA has been my favorite AOSP rom since my Galaxy S3 but I don't see why they haven't already begun developing for the G3, especially with an official CM Nightly build for most G3 models D85X.
Unless they are waiting for a milestone or something>
Paranoid, plz support the G3 D855, even if I saw an official experimental I'd still contribute and offer to test.
Plz PA! You guys could take over the G3 XDA forums!
Much love!

We don't support devices that aren't open. We will never officially support the g3 in any form.
You can keep an eye on the legacy community on g+ and hope and pray that the legacy team takes on the g3.
There is more to supporting a device than just having one. That's the first step to supporting it.

What?! Didn't you know that we are supposed to own every device and have intimate knowledge of every device and build for it without having a device in hand to verify everything works?
I mean, hell, it's only money and time, right? Oh, **** I forgot, we don't have either of those things.

T- Mobile LG G3 (d851) is the only with an unlocked bootloader and compared to the other variants of G3, this variant has less roms. I hope they support this variant instead since its the only one thats unlocked

Good luck with that....considering nobody has money to be buying devices like that and it would still fall under the legacy team.

Hi all, looking for someone that can port the app 'Qremote' found in G3-G4 so i can use it in my S4mini running CM13 (android 6.0).
i want it so i can control the LG devices in my house via infared which the S4 mini has. (other options are not satisfactory)
Can it be done? if so im willing to donate towards your efforts.
PM if you would like to talk more about it. Thanks in advance
theres is a cm qremote for G3 if you search on google. maybe ask the guy who did it. and it can control many other brands not only LG it has alot of them, and in G2 you can make the qremote learn a device if it isnt listed.

yeah i have although it is all specifically for lg g2-g4 phones or LG phones in general that have aftermarket firmwares, not other manufacturers devices like samsung s4 mini for example.
Although the ports were targeted to LG phones with an ASOP rom, i have an ASOP rom too so i tried various methods and experiments to install it anyway and see what would happen, but nothing in my favor (cause i have NFI, hence im looking for someone that would have a the skills to make it happen.

G4 section of development seems very very slow , maybe you will have a better chance o the g2-3 forum. ask the guys that did the one for CM
Hey guys, I'm planning on buying either an LG G3 or a G4 and installing custom roms. to keep them as up-to-date as possible. I would like to know which one of these phones have more active development. I saw a couple of oreo roms for the G3 and maybe just one for G4. I understand and respect the fact android developments take time and are massive efforts by developers in their free time but I would just like to know which of these devices have more active development.
Thank You
G3
All the G4s are dead from bootlooping problems.

G3 has more developers now. But we are trying our best to not let G4 die. Oreo AOSCP is quite stable now and then would be much easier to add different ROMs such as LOS or RR.
G4 has its hardware problems that drove lots of people away from this device. The fact that nearly every G4 is ticking bomb that will bootloop someday is not great.
Nextbit robin is a wonderful phone with awesome look but the future development of this phone is laging and the best solution is making robin Project Treble Compatible, like Developer brought Full Project Treble Compatibility to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
Yes I totally agree with you :good:
Wow its great when we can accept tht date of realese?
I wouldn't expect this device to get it, most developers work on this phone as a side project. I'm surprised and appreciative that "beta" Oreo builds actually appeared. I still haven't upgraded to one because as far as I can tell VoLTE still doesn't work and some devs have explicitly stated they're not working on that. Porting Project Treble onto this phone is probably asking a bit much.
