Another ROM? I just changed to Lungo...
I'll install this and give it a test later, looks interesting, curious to see if it's any faster than Lungo.
Thanks
Say it aint so...... Liquid Smooth for our Xperia ZL's!!!!! This is one of the best AOSP roms out there. Can't wait to test it and look forward to the continued support of this rom!
Must try one time. Best its really smooth, with great features...
Will stay with this ROM.

I tried the rom by installing several times but no luck, its always stuck at continuous boot animation. nothing happens but boot animation only.

Try flashing the kernel through fastboot first and then install the rom.
I am assuming your bootloader is unlocked?
Tried this out for a couple hours today, I can report that everything seems to work on on my C6506, so any issues you have with the ROM are on your end. Make sure to wipe system in addition to data and cache, I've had issues with some ROM zips not wiping system and causing instability.
Personally I don't feel like setting everything up again so I'm going to restore a nandroid of Lungo, but this is a pretty good ROM overall.
One thing I really liked is that I can set the animation scale to .75x, wish there was some info about it somewhere so I could mod it in to Lungo.
Excellent... going to have to give this a try...
Um... so the file dates on this are really whacked... boot.img is "2/28/2008"?!?!

i have found the problem and solution. actually i skipped booting my phone after unlocking bootloader which caused data partition problem , it was not mounting. so i booted with stock rom and installed after that and now its working. thanks for replies.
I should go out and test bluetooth... (seems pretty decent thus far...)
Well... except it's not detecting my baseband, it doesn't see my SIM, and it doesn't see cellular service... unsure what to think... I'm going to flash back to one of my other boot images, and then restore from twrp and see what I see...
(note my baseband is the 569 baseband - 9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110068-44)
Working good so far! I like the pocket feature. :victory:
Does this Rom have a specific kernel?
Is some kind of battery mod included or can you implement it? Such, similar to stamina mode, is the only thing I miss in every AOSP Rom.
I feel like trying this ROM today...
Did you guys know there's a feature in xda that asked allows you to write resumées in "device/ROMs" section?
I wish anyone but me would use this feature so we can have a representative point of view which Roms the community prefers......
Greetings

it came back when I switched back to another rom (eg Omni)...
Fortunately, the Xperia isn't like the T999... where you could lose your MEID and be totally screwed...

When you search for Xperia ZL on xda device search function you'll have a short description and photo of the phone and the tabs: forums, roms, kernels and mods. There you find a few roms and are able to review them

I've been popping in every now and again and checking the progress on all these ROMs and it looks like everything's falling into place (with a lot of hard work, of course). Great job spleef and everyone else involved.
The one thing that's been hard to keep track of is which bugs have been fixed in which ROMs. So as of now, what are "the usual bugs all our AOSP ROMS have?"
-- Camera focusing issue
-- Weird bugs related to video / camera display?
-- LTE transition still?
-- Others?
Thanks for taking the time.

That's mostly it in a nutshell..
Camera focus
Sometimes choppy video
GPS sometimes doesn't lock for some
Sound quality and phone functions wonky when headset plugged in....
Think those are the only issues and some are random

it should be stable , but just push it as beta because it don't have this device and i need from someone to give us quick review
I have two questions:
1. What is the kernel that is required? I do not see any link to it?
2. What is CWM version that needs to be updated?
Extra credit
If you are in stock rooted unlocked bootloader with CWM 14.1.G.1.534 branded by NUT?
What should I do to get this rom into my z1?
Everytime I go to CWM, using the dual recovery I cannot find the sd card? I would really appreciate if someone has step by step of what to do to accomplish this ?
Thanks in Advance

if you already installed custom kitkat rom and you don't have any problem , so skip this step 2
about step 7 , AOSB included CM stock kerne but you can flash custom kernel after you get it run

Booted up for me. Seems very stable, didn't get any FCs. Only things I noticed were that there is no audio and if I select contextual notification header option it doesn't show the different images in notification panel header. But other than that very nice and smooth.
Thanks!!! Downloading to test it out right now... :good:
Confirmed no audio. No tiles in the notification drawer by default, too. Other than that it looks and feels great!!!

Yes, audio works!
Been waiting for this one a long time! Great to see that Manta is supported again. Will flash this tonight after work.
Audio works on new 5/1 build but now I get FC when trying to get into battery saver in settings and FC on lock screen notification in settings. Previous build had no FC when accessing any settings.

This ROM is perfect for the N10! I have a few problems with it on my Galaxy Nexus, but I'm really glad it runs well here. Been running the latest KTManta kernel, too... and it's the best my device has ever been :good:
Latest 3.0 build running nice! Only still getting FC when trying to access lockscreen notifications.

Clean install required !
Running official build from 14-05, haven't encounter any bugs so far. Everything smooth and fast!
Getting FC on Lockscreen/Notifications

Full wipe/factory reset is more then recommended and if you are coming from an other base, its important to do a clean installation.
First boot will last a bit longer, can take till 5 to 8 minutes till its up.
It is, as usual, with Aromainstaller, in where you can select several options and apps. Gapps are also included, as well as lowram true in build.prop for transparent statusbar and many more.

So your continuing your work on LiquidSmooth Rom now and not for the Resurrection Rom?
Is this Rom also derive from CM's tree
It depends on when and how RR is continuing...only then I will decide whether to stay with both or not.
Liquid is mainly based on AOSP and Slim, but has also sources from cm included.
Any chance for p1c?
I can try to build one for p1c, sources I already have downloaded...but no promise whether it runs without errors and with success...and I cannot test it...but we will see
P1C version build and uploaded
Hi there,
ok and fine The build for the P1C finished out of the box. :good:
Before flashing, please do a backup (rom, datas, EFS) and there is no modem included in rom.zip.
So please be prepared, if something happens during the installation, because I couldn't test this version.

Many thanks for testing it and your feedback....
but sad that it doesn't work ....is in terenceg's rom the modem.bin included? If yes can you extract it and include it in my rom build and try it again?
Or is the download link for terencegs p1c version in his thread? Then I can download it and have a look at it by myself....

I didn't see any modem.bin. I copy the entire system folder from your ZIP to Terrance's zip, with and without the boot.img. no problems flashing either way, but it won't boot. It just hangs on the Samsung logo. I am in no way a developer.
Edit: BTW the p1c hasn't had working data since jb 4.1.2, if I remember correctly. I no longer have service on mine, I'm using it wifi only.
Edit2: there is a link at the last page on terenceg's thread. But he retired his thread so link prob wont be good for long
I'm glad to finally see some love for p1c. Thank you
yes but it seems no to install ...I found the download link for terenceg's rom.zip and have it already on my pc. Will have a look at it and compare perhaps I find the problem and can fix it...:fingers-crossed:
ok lets give it a try ...attached you will find a modified updater script for the p1c version. Just remove the txt extension and you can include it in the rom.zip. Would be glad if somebody can try it and hopefully it works....

Swapped files using file managed hd on tablet and I get
assert failed: run-program("/tmp/updater.sh") == 0
E:Error executing binary in zip
Edit: the executing binary error I get with original zip and all the other modified zip files I tried
Very good ROM indeed!
In my opinion, the LiquidSmoothe is the only v.4.4.4 based ROM which is stable. All others, including OMNI and Cyanogen have issues. I'm talking about my personal experience, of course.
Many thanks, guys!
great many thanks for your feedback and glad you like it...this encourages me to take further :good: and hopefully a new update will be released soon...
Special version: LiquidRom meets ArchiDroid
Hi there and good evening,
I build a new and special version for you:
LiquidSmooth meets Archidroid (beta):
Liquid_ArchiDroid_P1_20140921.zip: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23681161096070672
- get sure that you have installed any omni or liquid smooth 4.4.4 version first, so that you have a working kernel installed. Its only because I am not 100% sure, that the kernel updater script is working proper.
- Full wipe/factory reset is more then recommended and if you are coming from an other base, its important to do a clean installation.
- When Aroma installer starts, it begin the other way round, will say the layout is heads up....please wait till the first animation stops and settings will be shown, only then turn the tab to the right direction. Otherwise it could be that the aromainstaller fcs. Perhaps I can fix that "issue" in one of a next version.
- First boot will last a bit longer, can take till 5 to 8 minutes till its up.
In Aromainstaller you can select several options and apps. Gapps are also included, as well as lowram true in build.prop for transparent statusbar and many more.
First boot will last a bit longer, can take till 5 to 8 minutes till its up. So kust flash and have a coffee or a beer !
After staring up, led it settle a few minutes and after that you will have a smooth and fast rom....so download and enjoy!!!! :good:
All thanks and credits go to JustArchi, with whom's github I build this special LiquidSmooth Rom version.
I gave this ROM a try yesterday evening. A lot of UI aspects are "forward looking" and very interesting in terms of future smartphone usability. It seems even a few steps ahead of OMNIROM in that respect. But in some respect it also feels like overload with parameters to set in many different and unusual places.
What I "feel" so far: the current release is still a little rough around the edges and can be improved.
For example: the packaged app spirit2 comes up with a message that it is not working on the P-1.
And getting the hardware buttons back would really be a great thing.
As this is not my primary phone I will spend more time this week to understand all the possibilities better.
Thanks for bringing us this unusual experience.

We have disabled flashing on all 3 Dual-Sim variants because we do not support MSIM and have no plans too.
So we support the following two models:
a5chl
a5ul
Please post screenshots of your about phone, this current build is untested because my tester dropped off the face of the map.
Awesome to see a Rom for VM. About to check it out. Thanks.

I don't think this works for the Virgin Mobile version this phone. Our model number is 710c
Sent from my HTC Desire 816 using XDA Free mobile app
a5chl is what shows in the boot loader for the VM version.

K ill try with the stock cm kernel, but a kmesg and a logcat will help as well
This explains how to get both of those.

So if I install the Rom, boot back to recovery and use my backup back to stock sense and then download the Syslog app will it create an accurate log. That how it works?

I've never had to get logs on a device that couldn't boot to an OS. So I pulled the logs while in recovery, I'm guessing that's OK.

New test build
First if anyone is willing to be my tester for the desire 816 if possible 1 for each variant that would be amazing (i do not like pushing untested builds) let me know in pm your email so i can start a hangout with you.
Changes in this build
Synced with liquid source
Switch to cm kernel for now
Enabled flashing on dual sim (100% untested it may not work at all)
Download Link
So this doesn't work on the Virgin Mobile version then? The Cyanogenmod one doesn't work on it either then right?
