the quickest way to do it is to flash this md4 rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904099. it will erase your phone and be back to stock. just read the thread and get the right one for your phone. there is another thread for stock mk3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541900 it will do the same but not install knox, just read the thread.

if you flash stock mk3 unrooted rom to your phone you will also install knox.. if you aren't sure what knox is, search in this forum. you can flash any rom and any version number you want it doesn't matter. md4 link i gave you will give you the option to update from there to the sprint latest rom version if you want. or you can stay on md4. but as i said, if you update to mk3 stock rom it will install knox!

it depends on the employee at sprint and how hard they look into your phone, but if they have to send your phone off to samsung, samsung will defiantly know! your best option is to just flash the md4 rom and not let it update to new version. take it by sprint and see what they say. if they ask why you haven't updated yet, tell them you don't want to, and if they have to send it off, more then likely your phone will come back to you with the newest rom and possibly, they might just send you a refurbished phone with newest rom back to you. but depending on your issues with your phone, installing that md4 rom might clear it up. good luck!

thank you so much

Help with an easy way to flash an upgrade

I am trying to find the easiest way possible for someone to flash the updated md4 stock rom. This person is already rooted. They want to upgrade so they will have multiwindow. They are in another city so I cant do it myself. I remember Treve has a rom that backs up your rom before it flashes the unrooted stock. I was wondering is there something similar to that but will flash the rooted latest stock?
Here is the thread with the md4 modem/baseband. I've never seen a ROM that makes a back up for you. You can make nandroid while in recovery. That will be the back up you need in the event of a problem.

Using ODIN is the best way to go. This link explains everything. All that person needs to know is how to open the ODIN, select file under PDA option and click Start.

[Q] Please help restore old bootloadet

That cannot be done. Once you have upgraded to 4.3 MK2 you cannot downgrade.
But there are plenty of excellent custom roms which are 4.3 MK2 that you can flash.
NOTE: if you have flashed the official Tmobile MK2 4.3 Odin flash firmware/rom OR if you
have allowed the OTA update and or if you upgrading using KIES and your phone is not yet
rooted and does not have any custom recovery or custom rom in it then you don't need to worry
about your warranty, it will stay GOOD as long as you do not ROOT the phone and as long as
you do not flash any custom recoveries or kernels.
Good luck!

Aw well I guess I'll just take my chances because I used to flash ROM'S all the time but recently I made the mistake of trying out stock 4.3 and it's actually pretty nice it's just I miss flashing lol. I'm not even sure if I actually have a valid warranty anyways haha but thanks

Hi there Mr. Junky,
You forgot the most important word, in red above. Our Developers are like I was when I was in my younger days of programming, If was said something couldn't be done, I worked till I made it happen and Rooting is a good example of how our XDA "Gurus" have made things happen, and I am confident they will again rise above the rest and do the "Cannot be done" and share it with this community.....
Aloha, and Have a great day! p.s. Thank you for all your useful and clear posts that a LOT of users have benefited from!
I was doing some reading last night through the R&D thread and other various threads linked to through that one... I do believe that someone has been able to revert back to 4.2.2; but it involves some pretty risky methods and equipment which nobody in this thread likely has.

You are absolutely right, I did forget the magic work "YET".
But I think this time by the time the devs finally find a way to fully over-come the knox issue
in our S4's we all will have a much newer model, perhaps a Samsung Galaxy S5 or S6 or? LOL

Try these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2498233, stock at&t rooted without Knox (Believe me man, better without knox). But they are only leaks of the official firmware. I am not a professional developer so you might wanna create a new thread and ask if it's possible in you're situation.

The Canadian and US phones are pretty similar. Maybe a Canadian rom will work?

No it won't work. Since it is a stock rom it most likely will not work, he won't be able to call, text, or use data.

Based on the OP, the phone is currently running Verizon's 4.1 which leads me to believe the bootloader has not been updated beyond 4.1.2 since recovery mode is accessible; therefore, I think flashing 4.11 or 4.1.2 stock roms would be fine.
As always, it's best to check the installed bootloader before proceeding with any more flashes.
I used the stock firmware from here to downgrade my Bell s3 from stock 4.1.2 to stock 4.1.1.

[Q] Gs3 back to stock help

I'm totally new here, and I need help. I have installed cm11 on my GS3 because the stock 4.3 OTA had terrible battery life. I tried flashing back with odin and it didn't work, I want to go back to stock only because of the 4.4 Kitkat update that should be coming "soon". I am afraid of bricking my device and odin keeps giving me a fail (auth) error :crying::crying::crying:. This is extremely frustrating and I hope you guys can save me. How can I get back to stock without bricking my device?

Are you using an AT&T s3? You're probably getting the failure in Odin because you have a 4.3 bootloader and the ROM you're flashing may be trying to downgrade the bootloader.

Yes, sorry i forgot to specify that I am indeed using an AT&T s3. So if I get the actual 4.3 rom and attempt to flash it, it should work? I just realized the rom I was attempting to flash was 4.1.1. I am just not with it today.

You could try, but it recommends starting from a stock ROM or stock-based ROM.
Alternatively, you could flash another custom KK ROM for now and load a custom KK ROM that's based on the official release in the future.
The Valudis and Cyanfox ROMs are supposed to be quite good for battery life.

Sold phone, want it back to stock Touchwiz

I sold my Note 2 for Sprint and I now just want to flash a stock Touchwiz ROM or near stock at least. I haven't used the phone in a few months and i've looked over the development forum but i'm unclear on what to flash. I remember seeing a stock ROM but I can no longer find it. I am currently on Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4, baseband L900VPAMA7. All I want is the easiest way to send my phone to the buyer with a stock or near stock experience. I want the easiest avenue because I do not want to brick the phone right before I send it out. I also have a nandroid of my first stock backup of Android 4.1.1 which I don't know if it is safe to flash. Can someone please steer me in the right direction? It would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the response.
From what I gathered and correct me if i'm wrong, simply flashing the MC2 Stock zip, it will unroot the phone and take me back to stock (what version of Android does it downgrade to? Will the phone be able to receive the updated versions of Touchwiz?). If I want to stay rooted, then i flash the root.zip file right after i flash the MC2 Stock zip? (Would this be able to get updates to Touchwiz?)
Are there any other alternatives to getting a stock experience?
I did this about 2 month ago and it went back to stock unroot...yes u will be able to update... also it u want to stay rooted then flash the root file right after before again before rebooting and it will stay rooted ...no if stay rooted u will not be able to get update.... If u reall wanted to stay rooted there's a few stock rooted rom .. link provided

If you have taken the ne2 ota or flashed it with odin DO NOT FLASH that file. If you have not taken the ne2 update than it is ok to use.
