Would it be possible to get a custom kernel to include the "knock on" or "double tap 2 wake" feature on the Z1 compact? I have the Tablet Z and this feature is pretty sweet

I would love that!
You guys should look at the leaked z2 video demoing the software.... It has the double tap to wake feature built in

That's very interesting. I'd like to try that on my Z1c.
Hopefully Sony will enable it with a later update.
I loved the feature on my Nokia N9, it was one of the most missed features coming over to Android from Meego.
Would love to have this feature on Z1 Compact too !!

Halo notifications just got open source and developers will be able to implement this in their roms.
Will our Xperia phones see the light of Halo?
Yes. But we have to wait patiently.
PAC ROM already has this feature.

P.A.C. is for unlocked bootloader.
It will be very difficult to port an AOSP-based function to a OEM ROM due to framework difference.
Is there anyway to port the knock on gesture control from the G2 to the G Pro? It would be nice to just tap the screen to turn it on.

I would love it if we could get knock on for the lgogp. I would also love to see the slide aside feature on the lgogp later in the future.
It depends on if the G2 has a specific sensor dedicated to that function, and if the GPro has that same sensor. Also that function is definitely Framework related so ported may be difficult unless we get the entire Rom or all the necessary files for the port.
ROM already available on xda. Sensor for touch wake? Not needed.
Hardware for remote learning: we have it. Its ir blaster in g pro.
So basically all additional functions are theoretically possible to port.
Problem is no one wants to port either remote or knock on.

Saw this link for sense 6 on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/htcone/comments/212mgc/htc_sense_6_rom_for_htc_one_leak/. Is this for real and possibly usable by our htc ones?

Lockscreen Widgets
I haven't found anything about lockscreen widgets and cannot find them anywhere... Can you enable them in sense 6? If so, how?
Thanks,

The lock screen widgets are the same as 5.5. Just swipe from the top of the screen and it will bring you to another screen where you can add them.
Edit: maybe not...I swear it let me on version 3.0 but on 3.1 I'm not able to swipe over.
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
You have to swipe at the top right edge right under the time clock in the notification bar.
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
You gotta pull it down first to expand the widget then swipe over. Plus you gotta enable lock screen widgets in security settings.

I've done this. No cigar.
Edit: also I've lost the ability to swipe left and right for blink feed and whatever the other thing was on the lock screen. Maybe something to do with that? And to hold to get to Google Now. Seems all the gestures are gone.

Gestures from lock screen
I was running the Sense 6.0 from Santod yesterday and lost support for gestures only when using a 3rd party launcher. I think that's sense related and not ROM related, so hopefully that helps guys.
Running Sense 6 great
I'm running NuSense6 4.6 from santod with no issues. Sense 6 works well and battery life is phenomenal (3-4%/hr with light usage). Extreme Power Saver turns it into a touch screen flip phone, but was in standby overnight for 8 hrs and used 3% of battery. Very pleased!
Hello guys, I'm thinking about installing a ROM based on different kernel (cm etc.), to upgrade my super xperia S to newer android. But I hate nexus style. I love sony's one. Any ideas a about good composition? Rom which looks like sony interface, and with Sony apps? Appreciate it!
Tap Tap Tapatalk - Sony Xperia S [4.1.2/eXisten Z Ultra]
Try any rom with honami style and unlock your bootloader then install any kernel
you can install media apps for sony Z2 on CM11 but you cannot use all walkman features
You can try different ROM and use these themes to get the Sony UI look:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=thomassafca
You can also install ported apps of Sony, most of them work. I'm on Carbon ROM and I have the ported apps such as Wlakman, Album which work very good.
