Will you swap your LG G Pad 8.3 and LG optimus G (Korean Variant) to LG G2?

Not sure I understand the question. Aren't the Optimus G and G2 phones rather than tablets? Why would anyone swap the G Pad for a phone?

I still don't understand why you'd swap the G Pad for a G2. If you already have an Optimus G as well it makes even less sense.

What's your Question again?
If you have an Optimus G and a G Pad, than absolutely not don't switch! That way you get a decent phone and a great tsblet instead of just a great phone

Hi,
I've been reading about the LG Optimus G and the LG Optimus Nexus. The hardware of these two phones seem to be almost the same, except for the camera and the amount of storage. What do you think: will it be very easy to port the newest Android version of teh optimus nexus to the the Optimus G?
In that case, the Optimus G has some slight advantages, so could be the better choice (would have to see the ectual design for myself.....)....
It'll definitely be easier to port over the lg nexus rom, kinda like with the original nexus s and galaxy s phones. But will the optimus g have an unlocked bootloader? The optimus 4x doesn't seem like it does, chances are lg will neuter the optimus g.
Its ok to know that
need more flash guides
Be a damn shame if they go that route. This phone could be a devs dream with the specs it's running. What I'm afraid of is they purposefully keep it locked down tight so you'll be forced to buy the Nexus 4.

Hey there I'm thinking on purchasing the LG Optimus G instead of Nexus 4 because of the 32GB vs the 16GB , But the Nexus 4 as faster updates and I love the stock Rom , I wanted to ask if is it possible because of the hardware similarity turn the LG Optimus G into a Nexus 4 like put the firmware or something , because the are just equal expect the software
Hope some Dev read this and give it a shot!
Thank your for your time !

Cause you will endup with a semi-functionnal phone and will probably break it trying to get back / will not get everything working correctly. If you really want a nexus 4 go with it.

I know the Cm10 rom but I had some on my Galaxy s2 and I didn't like them that much and when I "played" a little with a friends Nexus 4 I really liked the stock rom!
I purchased on Ebay and was lucky really !
On Uk ebay you can get the Nexus 4 for about 250£ with extras and in mint condition!
The LG Optimus G was pure luck for me!

You're either going to have to make a compromise with the 16 gigs of storage on the Nexus 4, or make a sacrifice on the stock experience and the latest OS and go for the Optimus G. For me, it was the low storage capacity of the Nexus 4 and the smaller screen size (thanks to the on-screen buttons) that settled it in favour of the Optimus G.
LG : Just like Samsung, LG hasn't issued any official release regarding updates but since Nexus 4 is getting one, it is safe to assume that others will follow suit. Remember Optimus G is very similar to Nexus 4 on the insides. The following LG devices may get updated soon.
Optimus G
Optimus G Pro
LG Optimus L7 2 Dual
Optimus G2

Rumours?
Asking the same from LG since last 1 month : Still not even responded.
Worst Company in Terms of Updates. " Only Bought Due to CM not due to LG". So no Hopes Here for anytime soon.

It's just speculation. Going by LG's history, though, updates are the last thing they're gonna give. With LG, it's like, "Want a newer iteration of Android? Then buy our latest flagship." Which is sad, because they make some really good phones.
I think next month Android 4.3 update...
Dear
currently there is no update for the model, but you can contact our call center and they will provide you with an update.
Kind Regards

The type of inquiry : Software/Hardware updates
Product/Model No. : WLL/LGP970
Recently I got the Optimus G PRO E989 in Brazil. The Android is still 4.1.2. There is expected to launch an update to Android 4.3
The LG OPTIMUS PRO never received an update. I would like a report from LG LG. OPTIMUS GN2 comes with Android 4.2.2
I called the support in Brazil and nobody knows if it will be updated and when.
Is there any date or timeline?
Thank you

They mean that if you call their call center, they can provide you more details as to what is going on with a possible (if any) Android update.
They don't mean that if you call them, they'll update your phone.
Just making sure it's clear

Hey guys i'm confused between g pro n g2. The only thing i need is a better battery life.If i go with g pro i have an option to buy the extended battery from amazon but reviews suggest both the phone are awesome i personally feel lg will give more s/w update to g2 than g pro(s/w update is not much a prob as we have custom rom's )
what u guys thing g2 or g pro ?
Thanks for you help
A co worker of mine has the G2 and I have the G Pro,, the G2 is a very nice phone but I prefer the G Pro. Removable battery expandable memory. Love the G Pro hands down.

Sorry my crystal ball is broken.
Seems it is confirmed http://www.phonearena.com/news/LG-t...devices-to-Android-4.4_id51571#2-LG-G-Pad-8.3
According to our tipster, many of LG's devices will be going straight to Android 4.4, skipping right over Android 4.2 and Android 4.3 in most cases. Among the models cited by our source are the LG Optimus F3, LG Optimus F6, LG G Pad 8.3 (including Verizon model), LG G Pro Lite, LG Optimus F7, LG-D315 (unannounced), LG LS740 (rumored to be the successor to the LG Optimus F3), LG Optimus L9 II, LG Optimus Vu II, LG Vu III, and the curvy LG G Flex.

Nothing is confirmed until you hear an official statement from LG.
