I recently bought a Sony Xperia M for my wife but there is an issue with the proximity sensor. When in call the sensor does not work the majority of the time. Occasional it will work or it will work in reverse where the screen turns off when she moves the phone away but comes on when the phone is up to her face.
I downloaded and installed the xperia tools and tested the sensor and it works properly. Before I go down the route of flashing the phone is anyone aware of any easy fixes for this issue. I am convinced its a software issue as it works perfectly with the test tools.

actually the problem is the firmware the proximity senors work when you hold the phone vertical only during calls.but in other apps it works perfectly fine
Do you know when reconf. This sensor?

I have Xperia M Dual and got same problem in Android 4.2.2 but Android 4.3 fixed the problem.
I've got the same problem.. This phone is a mistake.. You can't even make calls..
You must make calls on the left ear.

I currently have the B125 rom, not rooted. Three days ago is started acting strange. It randomly looses the network connection and reconnects asking the pincode. Sometime several times in a row. It only happens when the network is used (calls, internet,..).
I already did a factory reset and replaced the simcard but the problem still persists.
Anyone else experienced this? Is the device broken or ist it an android bug?
You could try reflashing your firmware. If that doesn't work you should take it to the shop. I'm sure the warranty should cover this.
are you using any case?

I've got the same issue. The not-so-good workaround is to switch your network to "2G only". It helps so that the problem occurs less times per day, but it still exists...
A few days ago I've sent it to the service, as it is back I'll tell you what they replaced and if it helped.

I did a reflash now and the problem still exists. I haven't installed any apps, already at the setting up after first boot it loses the connection. Will bring it back to the store now.
I have 2 things to report.
1. Something is wrong with G-sensor. Since yesterday I had 3 times calibrate the sensor.
2. I waited for a confirmation SMS from a bank. I turned on the SMS/MMS application and waited. SMS came, but didn't show up in application. I only saw it by a moment in quick status bar. Summing up he disappeared.
I had similar issue on my first Android phone (disappearing SMS), but sadly didn't find the cause

try to wipe data of mms app. In new cm11 there in no more rotation bug.
For the last 2 days, the pedometer and sleep activity are stuck. Everything else works. It's paired, it's syncing, it's vibrating on phone calls, heart rate monitoring etc...
The device is fairly new. It's activated a week ago. I tried to delete the app data and re-pair. It didn't work.
The firmware version is 4.15.11.20
The HeartRate version is 1.3.73.16
Some screenshots of the problem are attached.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hey dont worry too much, Im facing same problem. I emailed to developer with screens, hopefully its only bug.
Also I've tried to unpair device, recharge didnt help, so my guess its a bug in firmware.

Hmmm today mi band sent data to app.
Maybe this unpair and pair again did work.

Can you maybe post a Screenshot of the Problem?
Sounds like "Mini View" Settings -> Device gets activated by swiping over the Navigation Bar
What's strange the screenshot doesn't show the half black.I've no idea whats going on...

Huh, no Idea either , sorry
Just a update if people have the same problem I was running cm14 when the problems started I went back to stock for a few days then it never happened again now flashed cm14 and no issues up to now.

Yeah I know but just a bit weird why it happens.

me too some time phone randomly waking up on its own.i have android 7.1.1...tell me friend your phone freez sometime and the screen become black 3 seconde and then it worked normal????????
