When i open an app in halo windowed mode, and the screen turns off the app is closed. Is there a way to fix this so if i turn the screen back on the app is still present in the windowed mode?
Thanks in advance.
No, there isn't

Hi ... does anyone know how to activate landscape mode on a XDA 2s? I went to Settings -- System -- Screen but could not find any controls there.
landscape mode
just press the O2 button on ur keyboard!
Yep it worked! I had to do a hard reset though before I got that button to work. Something must have messed up my registry settings. Thanks a pile!
Does anyone use landscape as default? What do you think the advantages are?
I'm too used to using portrait I guess, but I suppose browsing web pages might be better in landscape...
I think the today screen looks better in portrait, unless there is an app that lets you split things into two verticle columns? Quick start buttons and info down the left and appointments down the right or something?
I found this trick in one of the tips and tricks videos on youtube and have not seen it mentioned anywhere else so thought maybe many people didnt know about it, since tips and tricks are posted all the time here and there, and every time there are people who didnt know about it.
This one was one of my favorites of the many thare are..... anyways...
push the home button, or the power button when the screen is off WHILE holding the phone in portrait, then place a finger on the lock screen, NOW rotate the entire phone to landscape and walla, camera
Yep, saw that one on one of those annoying tips that pop up every ½ second when you first start up the phone. There is a bunch of stuff you can do if you go into the motion settings

Or I could just swipe the camera at the bottom on the lock screen...lol. I couldn't get this to work. Maybe I don't have it activated.

You dont have to activate it in motion settings. You cant turn it off. You can remove the camera shortcut on the lock screen and put something usefull there

You do and you can. There's an option for Quick Camera Start under Lock Screen Settings.
By the way, I find that the camera crashes if it's in video mode when I launch it via quick-start rotate gesture. But if it's in still-photo mode, or if I launch it by swiping the lock-screen camera icon instead of by the rotate gesture, then it starts normally.

Doesn't crash for me when I use the gesture when the camera is in video mode. I love the gesture and removed the camera quick launch icon.
I want the screen to stay portrait locked until I hold the menu button or something of that nature to switch to landscape. Is this even possible?

Probably possible but it would ruin the other functions of the button. I believe the menu button brings up google now if its held. Going into a button mapper would most likely give u that ability, but the code for it to be held and launching a system function instead of an app would be different.
Why not just add the screen rotation to the toggles up top, make it the first toggle so u wouldnt even have to scroll to find it.
In my launcher, nova prime, i set the default to portrait, so that never rotates and i keep the autoscreen rotate off up top. Most apps that need to be in landscape will override the portrait lock and go into landscape. If i need landscape mode, i hit the toggle, do a little shake, and i got landscape.
Easier than going into the build prop files and writing code to over ride button settings.

This is how I control AR as well. If an app can only run in landscape, it will indeed over ride the system setting. If I need landscape, I'll just hit the toggle...its as easy as mapping a button for the function. Actually, its even easier ;-p
is it possible to put flashlight on lockscreen instead of camera.. can not see options for this.

I keep that button for camera and enable this:

Turn on the torch using the long hold volume up while screen is off.

not really what im looking for, double tap on power button opens camera so dont need it on my lockscreen .i just want to put flashlight icon on lockscreen.
thank you , any one know if this is possible without dl another app?
It is possible with the app BxActions. You can choose to double click Bixby button to turn on flashlight on lock screen. I use it
I think you can only put an app shortcut there, and the built-in flashlight isn't an app, it's part of the OS. If you installed a flashlight app from the Play store, you could probably put it on the lock screen.

can you pull the notification down on the lock screen ?? if so, hit the toggle there.
This is trivial to do with root and xposed, does that work for you?
It can now be done with Samsung's Good Lock 2018 app, in the LockStar section of it. You can add up to 6 shortcuts, and flashlight is among the available ones.

I have good lock but i am unablevto use thus option, i try to set up with a simple black image as my background and try to add myv6 apos to the lock screen but it always fails. Don't know why
Simple question. How to activate split screen or window mode? Old way of dragging recent app or tapping split icon are gone. Ideas?
Looking at the open apps, tap the app icon on the top center of the app you want in split screen and you'll get the menu.
And how about the swapping the places of split windows?? Is it totally gone now?
