Did you install or update any app lately? Apps might caused the problem
Nam Huy Linux Blog namhuy.net
I didn't post again because the problem looked like it was solved. But now it is here again. I've removed some apps and it worked all right, but now it is here again. I'll try to root it this weekend but I'm afraid of bricking it.

I entered recovery mode with the nexus unblocked and wiped out all data and dalvik too with the clockworkmod. Well, it was a factory reset but now battery works perfect.

Hi all! I have a big problem with my Desire HD, since some time ago, it randomly reboots. It happens mostly when I have low battery, 15% or less, and only happens when I'm using it, but I didn't found any pattern. The screen freezes a few seconds, and then it automatically shows the power on bootanimation...
Until now I used the default ROM, and then LeeDroid HD without any problems. I recently installed RCmix3d runny 4.0, and within days started to do this. Thinking it was the ROM, I changed to Virtuous Affinity, but it seems to do the same thing...
I hope someone can help me, I need it!
Greetings to all!

I've already done it when the charge was at 100%, is it right?
That makes no changes...
think this is because of the "power prompt". (i m not using sense at the moment so can't tell u where you can find this but should be under settings somewhere)...turn it off!!

hmm what do you mean with "power prompt"?
This may sound silly, but try removing and reinserting the battery.

How many apps do you have? I have the same problem (sent it for repair) and I think that when the phone is "empty" or has little apps, all works well, that the problem starts when I install more apps. It didn't happen for several months when I bought it, and then, as I installed apps, it happened once. Then again in a month. Then it happened regulary alike 1-2-3 times a week. After flashing RUU to Sense 3 (even though it was clean install even formatted the SD card) it worked fine for 2-3 days, and when I installed like 300 apps, it started rebooting and I got it to the stage where it reboots every 5 minutes or so....

I'll try uninstalling some apps then, thanks!
Try refreshing the battery fuel gauge. what you need to do is download battery refresh from market, delete the batterystats.bin file and then use the app to drain the battery to zero until it dies. Charge it to 100% with the phone turned off and see what happens.
ROBINGAZI:
I suppose you have to be rooted to delete batterystats.bin ?

Thank you for your advice, but I don't think that's the cause, because I calibrated the battery a several of times... I'm tired of this error, so I'm moving back to a ROM with Sense 3.0 instead of 3.5, since is the only common cause I found. Thank you all anyways!
Hi,
I'm using Linaro Optimized AOSPA latest version and no custom kernel. I did full wipe while flashing.
Everything is normal. But after starting my device and unlocking my sim I just have a few seconds and then it reebots. But if I lock my device after unlocking sim it works until I open Google Chrome, Gallery or even Camera.
I flashed back to stock and there I have the same problem.
Someone has an idea?
Edit:
Device turn on i safe mode and stays alive. After restart the same prob, it just turns off.
How are you flashing stock? See logcat/kmsg.

Hello,my phone's screen becomes dimmer on one side randomly even when I'm not using it.The only thing that helps is if I leave in the fridge for a couple of minutes or when it's turned off for 15 minutes. If anyone had a similar problem please help me.
It must be overheating.
Try SetCPU
I have underclocked it to 1.1 Ghz but the problem is still there.
Wait for a while/days to stabilize.

Hi, just installed the OTA from 4.4.4 to 5.0 and...
I've noticed when using the devices the wifi signal drops completely and then (near) instantly comes back.
Is this common?
I've actually noticed it a lot when the device has been idle 10+ minutes, when i turn the screen on signal icon shows absolutely none.
Anybody else getting this?
Nope none here... Flashed factory images with full wipe all is fine.

No. Never have since I got it and never will since it's used for all sorts of notifications. I've seen the signal disappear completely during normal use when browsing too, never saw it once on 4.4.x

Someone posted same issue this morning. He flashed without wiping. He hasn't reposted. I had various issues by trying to avoid flashing user data.img. Full flash with wipe fixed everything.

Thanks for that.
Yeah I just installed the OTA when it came through to the N7...guess I'll fully erase and re-flash the 5.0 factory image and see if that solves it...sigh why can't anything ever be simple?

Well, it should have been with the OTA. You might want to try sideloading the zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2380113, post 353). Youtube has videos explaining procedure if needed. It's not dead simple but might avoid a wipe.
More people happens that when the battery charge drops below 20% of capacity, there is an extremely rapid decline to 1%.
To correct the problem use application GServiceFix - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playfulgeeks.gservicefix
It is important to strictly observe the instructions. You not miss even one step, and each step may not be repeated. Instruction should be carried out only one time, always after installing a new ROM.
Follow the instructions:
- Charge your phone to 100%
- Connect phone to the charger
- Turn ON the GPS (not need to be fix)
- On your phone, you must have an Internet connection
- Follow the instructions on the screen (click and swipe...)
- Each step instructions to make only one times, do not miss a single step, not repeat steps!
- Finally, the phone restarts
- After starting the system, turn off the GPS and disconnect the charger -> Application does not require to have GPS turned OFF all the time. Installation instructions only remind you do not forget switch OFF GPS, if not used. Now switch OFF GPS, later can turn it ON.
- Done
It's unbelievable, but it really works, try it..
Hm.. Interesting. I will try it right away and confirm if it works.
@rbt07: How long did you test it? Why does this app need Internet and GPS? My gut feeling tells me to be cautious...
Application tested more people in our Czech discussion with the result that works.
I know it's unbelievable but it's true. I do not know why we should do all those steps.
But I know that it is important to strictly observe the instructions. You not miss even one step, and each step may not be repeated. Instruction should be carried out only one time, always after installing a new ROM.
sorry, but this application has not helped me at all.
I can't believe this. It absolutely works!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tnx @rbt07 u r a LIFESAVER!!!

In the last step I clicked on exit and did a reboot. Is this okay or should I have done this inside the app?

It is OK. Have to reboot manually.
OK, then I did everything in the right way. As soon as I'm at 15%, I'll report my results.
Sorry, doesn't work for me. Battery drop still exists on my P8000 with Stock Rom from November. Does it make sense to run the app again?

the same question and I did this and go 3 times. the truth keep wondering if there is any other solution.
I think, Stefan Gündhör is working hard on Guestekrnl to solve this issue. Let's wait for the upcoming updates.
Didn't work for me, on eragon 9.2. Might run it again but can't really see how this can work!
Worked for me, I let my phone battery lvl go down again and see if it works or not.
No clue if it happened only once, but after having used this app, the battery graph even looks much more weird on the upper level...
Tried it with my Vernee Thor, as i had the same battery-loss at around 20% charge.
Unfortunately it didnt help, the charge still drops at around 20% until the device switches off.
