Hello, can anybody tell me the size of both boxes?
here a link that compare them:
https://picasaweb.google.com/107138125722399503006/GNEX?authkey=Gv1sRgCL2zqoO8icyOsAE&noredirect=1
*or is there a way to know from S/N or other number on the box, if it made for UK or other Europe country? I just want to be sure that I buy the variant that sold for Europe, so I would not need to buy adapter for UK plug, as I live in Israel, I asked local shops, they all say it's Europe variant with EU charger, but most sell them in sealed boxes, so I cant be sure what inside, not even sure if they can allow me to open box before I pay $$, thank you all for help.
You could always buy a usb adapter if you don't get the right plug?

I know I can, but don't want to, just want to be sure that I buy original Europe package, and not the UK one that is bigger, so any one can measure the boxes for me?
Seriously what is the world coming to these days.

Hi, I'm in the UK and I'd like to buy an Xperia Pro, which are no longer easily available new here (unless anyone knows better?) Looking on ebay there are very few for sale in UK, but quite a few for sale from Hong Kong, supposedly in new condition.
Normally I would be wary of Hong Kong auctions (having bought fake GBA games in the past). Does anyone know if the Hong Kong Xperia Pros will likely be OK? Are there such things as fake Xperias? If they're the MK16i model (as they claim) will they work OK on 3G in UK? Will the hardware keyboard be the same as in UK? Will the software have British English? Will Google Play be available? Etc.
Alternatively, if anyone is selling a good condition MK16i, let me know!
You'll be fine. I got my arc s from asia and so did a friend of mine The phone will be exactly the same as any other, except for the bloatware that comes with it
Thanks. I'm hoping to be able to unlock the bootloader and/or root it, so I'm not too worried about bloatware. Any others have an opinion on this?
Hi, I have read a lot about this phone and i really would like to buy it but it is nowhere to be found!! Why is that? Do you know of any online store that has it that ships internationally??

Yes they sell mainly the P2c72, which is unfortunately with better hardware (64gb) than P2a42. It will work just fine in Europe, but in US the 4G frequency is different.

all ebay listings sell the chinese variant. I cannot believe there is no availability of the european model (p2a42) online.
I could easily buy the chinese variant and it will work for me for the time being here in Japan, but I wll not be living in Japan forever, when I return to my home country the phone will work only with gsm.... The european model has more compatibility with my home country bands
Check out SuperBuy.my
It is a Malaysian retailer that sells the P2A42 variant. They ship via DHL and many Australians on the Whirlpool forums have purchased there, including me.

Are you sure the 3g/4g frequencies of p2c72 are different than the frequencies in your country? There is a thread in this forum where I mentioned all the differences between p2a42 and p2c72.
I purchased it from this guy and it shipped to the US fine. Its the p2a42 version I would recommend him

Amazon Austria/Germany is selling it. i bought it on another website, for "only" 281€. games2game.at 4GB variant, 32GB Rom. But i don't know, if they will ship to japan. But i got a "french" model. Manual and the package itself is in french, but the phone have all languages. hope there's no problem with warranty, if i need it someday

Hey, there are companies offering the Snapdragon s20 Ultra in Europe, but the unknown is the OS, if all of the Google Services are available, and if their bloatware/spyware ia removable. Is anyone in the know here? I ask because there's some down-low language about the OS and how these are perfect to root. I definitely want to use maps and have banking apps work.

The SM-G9880 is manufactured in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. Google apps are standard on the Hong Kong variant, Samsung Pay will work as well. You can root the device and it has less bloatware than the China and Taiwan variants. Ask the seller what's the country of origin before you pull the trigger.

They are gonna be direct imports from China and Hong Kong. If it's China, what would be the issues?
If you get chinese unit volte/samsung pay app may not work, you can get hong kong variant from wondamobile though they also provide 12 months warranty
