I got a problem with signal of the wifi in my FP. When I am just next to the router the signal is only the half than it should be. It has been checked with other smartphones and laptops and in them, it works fine.
So, internet goes very slowly.
Has anybody experiencing the same problem?
Thanks

have you installed any of the Official Updates?
You can test your WiFi like this:
Turn it off.
Hold volume down + power button.
navigate with volume down to Test Report
choose Test Report with power button
navigate with volume down to WiFi
choose WiFi with power button, try to get a quick glimpse at the output (vanishing fast)
check if WiFi gets an red X or a green 0.

Yesterday the background light from my BA stoped work, and now it only turn on when its on charger? its the screen? or the battery? someone get trough this? help please!
there are 2 things you need to check:
1. when the device is switched on and running on battery power, press and hold the power button. that should normally switch the backlight back on.
2. you should check your backlight settings at start->settings->system->power->backlight or something comparable depending on your rom

Hi everyone,
I'm posting this thread because I'm heaving a problem with the On/Off switch of my phone... Since yesterday it doesn't work anymore, so when I push it down, nothing happens...
Yesterday, the power-controll menu (the one who appears when you push the swith down for a couple of seconds) appeared now and then, and my phone randomly switched on and off, so I'm thinking this may be a hardware issue...
My problem here is that I bought the phone in a store that's far away from where I live, so I can't just go and bring the phone for repair... But in the meantime I can't turn my phone on... The only way I can turn on the screen is when I connect it to a power source or when someone calls me.
I've searched the interwebs for software that may help me (something like a button remapper, so that I could use the central button for example as on and off switch) but that's only for rooted devices, and mine isn't...
Any propositions ?

I think his phone was on, so the problem was that he couldn't turn the screen on.

Well actually yes, the device was on but it turned off because of the battery... Luckily, I managed to restart the device by plugging it into the power source and remove/putting back the battery several times...
I noticed now that my battery is draining really fast, the phone can't hold a day of normal usage
This is getting really frustrating. I can't use my phone for anything.
It started a couple of days ago.. My phone started losing wifi connection but then connecting again almost immediately. My data network isn't great at home and that means, when the wifi drops nothing works.. I've tried everything I can think of.
The wifi doesn't turn off, it's set to never sleep.. It just disconnects for about a second, even when I'm using it.
Any ideas?
Does it only happen to your phone?

Yes, my transformer stays connected and so does my pc..
Edit: Actually I had a weird problem where my transformer pad couldn't connect a couple of days ago. Nothing seemed to work and I think that is around the time this started happening.
Edit2: It seems it happens only when bluetooth is on...
I had the same issue and fixed by typing at the dialing keypad *#197328640# then press the menu button and choose WIFI then disable WIFI Power Saving Mode , after every restart you need to do it again

I read about that and it's not really a solution to me. What bothers me the most is that it only does this when bluetooth is on.
Hello there
I am currently having an issue with my Optimus G screen. When i rebooted the phone / power off, the backlight won't turn on. But after a few tries / sometimes even just clicked the power button to wake it up after waiting for few minutes, the backlight goes to normal (and if i never power off this thing then the issue seems to disappear). I believe this is a software issue. I am currently running on LG stock software.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem or at least tell me the method to be able to get the backlight back always? I don't wanna always face this issue if i power off this thing.
FYI, when the backlighting is not on i have tried to scroll the screen brightness to the max from settings but to no avail. Only with keep re-trying to power up for few times then i am able to get the backlight back on.
Thanks in advance!
I have the same problem... You fixed that ?

Seem to be a weakness for LG phones...
Did someone fix this backlight bug?
Everytime im done with my Ouya, I go to the main screen press Y and choose "turn off ouya". I know that the ouya shuts down because the input on my tv goes blank and says that no source have been found. Now when I try to turn on my ouya, lets say about 1.5 hours later my ouya is already turned on and is asking me to shut down.
Why is this happening to me? Am I not shutting down correctly?why does the ouya turn itself on?

Wish I could answer, but at least I'm glad to know I'm not the only one running into this issue. I'll do the exact same thing to shut down, and notice my TV's input still shows active, I'll switch back, and it's asking to shut down Ouya / Controller / Cancel. I'll do the shutdown again, and then wait for it to show No Signal on my monitor. I hope this will be also be addressed by a future update...
When you shut off with the menu options ouya is actually going to a low power sleep mode instead of turning off - similar to a android tablet or phone when you just push the power button or close a case cover, the next time you push it it is an instant on instead of a boot process.
Apparently it failing to stay asleep has something to do with the HDMI interface, though I can't technically confirm or deny this I do know it's entirely possible.
The only way I've found to actually shut it off is to either hold the power button for a few seconds until it shuts off, or pull the power plug (not recommended.)
Or root, install QuickReboot and shutdown with it...

This actually works. Thank you.
Hdmi activity wakes up OUYA, many TV's scan inputs so they don't list them in "source" menu and this turns OUYA back on. A poorly thought out feature.
Rather than doing a hard shut down, you can do a full shut down by holding the power button for a full second or two. You will then get an on screen prompt to confirm shut down, this will do a full shut down not just put it to sleep like it does when you use the controller to initiate it. Constantly killing power to a running system will probably start corrupting files at some point.
There is also some sort of sleep or screen or keep awake option in advanced settings that is supposed to disable the hdmi wake up.
