Error 491 on Google Play Store?? - Sony Xperia M

Whenever i clear cache via easy cache cleaner. On my play store.. I always get problem of 491 error..how to solve this problem.

it must be a server problem not ur phone... wait untill they fix it.am also have this issue from last night..

Are you using clean master

No i m using liks2sd and phones in build cache cleaner in settings, storage..and i m facing this problem from around 10 to 12 days. But when i reboot my phone.. All becomes okay.

This is because of the cache cleaner when cache cleaner cleans the cache it also wipes the cache of google play and google play services.......to fix this clean the cache without cleaning the cache for google play and google play services and reboot.....
Enjoy.:

If I remember correctly
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications - > All
Google Play Store -> Clear cache and force stop
Google Services Framework -> Clear Data and force stop
Reboot the phone.

How can it possible to clear cache of all things or apps except google play and google services.. Is there any particular app for it..

If i understand correctly you are constantly clearing the cache, but why?

Because if i dont clear cache, it occupies internal memory.. And hence xperia m has limited memory i.e 1.8 gb

Wipe Cache
This method requires that you can go into a recovery mode like Clockworkmod Recovery.
Reboot into recovery
Wipe cache partition
Go to Advanced >> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Now go back and Reboot system
Rerun Google Play Store and update or install your app.

[Q] Is clearing cache ok?

Hi all!
I got an app called "App 2 SD Free" made by Sam Lu today. And it suggesting clearing my app cache (clear app cache, that what it says) and I am confused with what will it do. For example, will it clear my Facebook App sign in data? And is this app cache is Dalvik Cache?
Edit: Oh, guys it's too late. I accidentally cleared it And looks like no change.

Im also a user of that app. And i cleared it many times and nothing happened to me. Sign-in data's will not be cleared even if u clear the application cache and application data (checked for gmail, market).
Cache is a storage space for temporary files. And clearing cache will speed up the applications definitely. And that's also a way to free up memory.
Coming to dalvik cache,
Dalvik cache is a program cache area for the program dalvik. Dalvik is a java based virtual machine that is the bases for running your programs (the ones that have the .apk extension), in order to make access times faster (because there's not JIT compiler installed by default). The dalvik-cache is the result of dalvik doing a optimization of the running program. It's similar to the prefetch files in Windows.
[sorry if im wrong]

Sorry for that. Like i said, i checked it with gmail and market only. Later i came to know that gmail once attached to the wildfire cannot be deleted. The only way to remove gmail is hard reset. And market uses gmail login data.
And im using stock 2.2 wildfire. And i checked facebook for htc sense and plurk. These login data's will also be not deleted by clearing cache/data. And maybe we cannot expect 3rd party apps to retain their login data even after clearing cache/data (example: XDA app).

Market Apps Install Locally but not Via the Google Play Website

I'd appreciate some help. I'm running ICS 4.0.4 (AOKP M6) and I can install apps locally on my phone, but when I try via the web client it doesn't work.
In fact there's a bunch of apps that say "Installed" on the Google Play website (In My Apps > All) for me when they're not.
I tried clearing cache and davik from recovery, and also clearing the cache from app settings.
I've tried removing my Google Account and readding it.

[Q] Can't use Gmail app, Can you help me?

I recently updated my CM7 rom... I didn't checked the "erase dalvik cache" option...
So everything went fine... But now phone goes white everytime I open Gmail... I tried uninstalling it but then I can't download it from play store because when my PC it says that app is already installed. And I can't access play store from my phone since I need to sync my gmail account.
How to fix it... I mean maybe downloading the right Gmail app
And thanks for taking the time to read and help my problem

And here lies your problem, wiping dalvik cache is a crucial thing to be done when installing a new ROM or when updating your currently installed ROM.
ALWAYS WIPE BOTH CACHE AND DALVIK CACHE.
So, i've got two solutions for you.
1 - Uninstall Gmail app, clean Play Store's app data, reboot into recovery and wipe both cache AND dalvik cache.
If the solution above does not work, do this:
2 - Format everything (cache, data, boot and everything else) and reinstall your ROM. (this one is fail-proof, I mean, it WILL work but will erase EVERYTHING in your PHONE)

Ok, i solved this. Steps here:
1- Removed Google Play Services completely via Titanium Backup
2- Downloaded Google Play Services from apkmirror
3- Remame the apk file to GmsCore.apk
4- Move GmsCore.apk to /system/app (do not install) and set permissions to rw-r--r-- (644)
5- Reboot to recovery mod, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache, reboot system.
6- After that i got Play Store worked, Chrome, Maps and Drive didn't work so i uninstalled and reinstalled them, now all works.
Note re: Step 4--
I was only able to make this work after I actually DID install the Google Play Services apk from apkmirror

Google play store won't download

I have fixed this issue before but can't find it basically i try to dl an app and it fails sceenshot attached
But I found a fix long of deleting a temp file that belong to Google play in the system that after launching it again it re-writes it
I have also tried everything like cache, data, Uninstall the play store clean cache from recovery
Are you on stock ROM? If not, which are you using?
Clear system cache, can't hurt but probably won't get it.
Clear data in Goggle Play Services, reboot.
Last ditch effort; delete Google account/recreate it. Reboot.
Use another phone to install the apks you want then use AkpExport app to copy them and upload into this phone.

Recommend this, but in line with my question, you can install the Aurora store in the meantime until you find a fix.
