Hello
A relative asked me to "fix" his nexus and flash a kitkat rom.
I don't know this phone at all, so I am looking for the most stable and then fast/lightweight 4.4.2 rom for this phone.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.

Liquidsmooth.in my opinion. Fast/smooth/exellent battery with Mopank Superram kernel and have the most and top notch features. Of course you can try others just to experience them yourself.
If you want stable: stock. If you want a kitkat rom: any 4.4 rom. Just try them and if you dont want to then stick with stock.

Hi!!
I just wanted to ask if I have to be first root on my note II in order to install CyanogenMod, that's right?
can I install CyanogenMod rom on my note II without being root?
Cheers.
J.
Yes you need root and a custom recovery

Check out www.galaxynote2root.com for all the info you need on rooting, flashing and recovery programs I have heard this rom can be a little unstable but have not yet tried it. I use WanamLite rom and love it, very close to stock with more benefits and very stable

Read the CM10.1 nightly thread, it has instructions.
Hi,
Just wanted to ask if cyanogenmod is stable enough for my Note II. I am looking for a stable rom... the closest one to the stock because I would not like to get a stone as phone...
Is WanamLite working properly?
Regards and thanks!
I tested both roms for same time, both very stable. However my opnion is that if you want a rom very similar to stock what is the fun? Nothing new to play around.
I'm using now Moon v8, a lot of features, good battery and no issue so far.

Well, sure - I'll have fun installing a rom and all that stuff but I had an iphone and I got tired saving everything before jailbreaking and then install everything.. when a new version was released the cycle again... so I'd like to have a phone with cyanogenmod o whatever mod rom but I don't want to change rom every time... at least I don't want to save my pictures and do a list of apps to download after installing a new rom because last one was unstable.... you know what I mean? I hate Samsung stock.. but works fine.. I think...
Thanks.

I'm looking to buy a 2014 10.1 and something caught my attention and was curious about it. I have a s4 running 4.3 android and thanks to Knox I cant put a custom recovery on it and have to use safestrap to use a custom rom essential wasting much space. Is that a issue with the tablet as well. Or is twrp/clockwork able to be used?

Of course you can flash a custom recovery and custom roms, but it cant be done without triggering knox. Flashing the rom itself is harmless, its the flashing of a custom recovery that triggers knox. So if you can live with that just go a head and flash, if not.... then dont.
Good luck
Ok thanks for the clarification the knox part is still kind of new to me. Tw is a little heavy just wanted to make sure I had the option to run an aosp rom down the line.

no problem, just glad to help. You can flash an AOSP rom, as soon as we get one.
Dear Experts,
I have T-Mobile Note II T889 rooted with Clear ROM 5.0 and android version 4.1.2. I have my phone SIM free so I can use any other SIM than T-Mobile. I need your help in updating my ROM to 4.3.x without losing unlock feature in addition to rooted ROM and minimal customization i.e. the same experience as stock ROM that has high stability and high maturity. what is the best ROM for that? . Does N7105 stock ROM work for me?
Thanks for Help
Phone unlock is permanent(one way process). You do not have to worry about it.

a) If you are 4.3 bootloader you can flash this MrRobinson's ROM
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23252070760975435
b) If you are 4.1.2 bootloader you can flash this ROM, download link on post#1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2636552
If you want to stay stock then you may not flash any other ROM's but if you wnt any custom ROM's then just read few posts in development forums and see which ROM suits your need.
Hi!
It's the first time I try to flash a ROM on my Galaxy S3 and I don't wanna do anything that would brick my phone,so that's why I'm asking here for your help.
So, I'm looking for a ROM that looks like KitKat 4.4. I searched a bit and I've found a great ROM, Resurection Remix but I don't see it avaible for my phone ( SGH-I747M Koodo). Is it avaible for my phone? where can I download it?
If not, which ROM would work with my phone? My firend told to not use CM 11.
thanks!

it's now unified, before it was unified, it was d2att
so look for D2LTE instead
Try to find slimroms or beanstalk.Carbon is OK but overall CyanogenMod is the best choice.

Any recommendations please for a kit kat ROM with the stock touchwiz interface? Will be giving these away as a gift so I just need a stable ROM that just works!
Cheers

You can flash the ROM NoleKat v1.8 (4.4.2) is stable, see this post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development-7/rom-port-nolekat-v1-0-T210R-t2837338
I prefer the Dragon Gaming Rom v5(at the moment the most current version) as it runs very smooth on my T210
