This is the thread for the official nightly builds of Omnirom. This is here for everyone to find info on latest builds, discuss the rom, features and any issues and also to provide an easy way to download everything you will need for the nightly builds.
I do not make these builds, they are compiled nightly by the official omni buildbot, therefore I cannot add/remove features or fix different issues myself, they must be submitted through official bug report channels.

What is OmniRom?-
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

Glad to see you got this set up. I know you worked hard for it.
I for one am sticking to your "tweaked", omnimetal version, but I think this setup is huge for toro since it'll open up the door for other devs, and the community as a whole to keep pushing for new features and updates.
I am gonna try this ROM right now

Yes that is my issue as well. SMS and Launchers. I was thinking this was a known issue in 4.4 and other ROMs have gotten past it.
I think I know the fix as well, once I get a chance to test it, I will upload it to their gerrit so they can merge it

Sounds great, thanks! I love both this and OMNIMetal so hopping this does the trick as this is the only issue I have run across.
Thank you for your work!

I've been using this for about two weeks now, and I really like it. Thanks for bringing Omni to toro.
Anyway to get official changelog?
So I don't know if I am just looking in the wrong spot, but I cant seem to find the changelog on the omnirom website for just the galaxy nexus. Just wondering if its there or not.

+1 haven't found it either
So who could actually get a changelog for toro setup on the website. Could metalspring do it or would we need to ask someone over at OmniROM?

I am! Pretty sleepy in here. As far as I can tell not much has changed for toro in a while. ROM is rock solid, stable, good data stability, but I worry that it won't be supported for long.

No changelog for one. And the maintainer seems to have dropped off the radar - I hope he is ok.
They do a universal change log probably.

Yeah, I look at https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/q/status:merged,n,z and https://changelog.omnirom.org for changes to the code base, but it's hard to filter through stuff that didn't apply to toro. But with no active maintainer available, when something does adversely effect toro it would be hard to get it corrected. Also, it's hard to know if optimizations, such as the recent aosp lte stack improvements, actually got merged for toro without a dedicated maintainer and changelog.
Has this ROM switched to the grey/KitKat menu colors yet? I used a PA ROM not long ago. And a lot of the menus were still blue.

This is a matter between 2.2 and 2.3, for daily stock would be enough, 2.3 has NFC, some new drive, new core, would be a little smooth than the one you are using! For battery life, can't not simplely say better, Faux's kernel have both on Stock, Froy AOSP,Ginger they all save your battery life!!
The reason is you want something new, when you are making X with the same girl over and over again, you would think about change!!

Downloloading now! I've been a very happy AOKP user but I've been dying to try out CM9, I just wanted to wait until they were officially "Stable" (even though I know the nightlies have been solid).
Ah nice. Good to see it finally made it to RC status. JellyBean is just around the corner now though.
Just Voided my warranty with this. Now my refrigerator is 10 degrees warmer inside and all my ice cream just melted. Anyone else having this issue? Otherwise ROM is great!
Thanks!
Just made the switch tot CM9. Came from AOKP.
Always used CM on my N1. But when I got my GN I saw that AOKP was much more popular. But now with CM9 I'm just as happy as the good old N1 time.
(I really hated the unicorn stuff on AOKP..little bit immature if you ask me)
I didnt notice much speed or battery life differences. Will post my opinion later this week.
Thnx Cyanogen

Unsure why OP has outdated gapps (dated 03/17)

Great release! Looking forward to additional CM9 contributions being made. Switched from AOKP as well, so far so good... only feature I really miss is resizing the navigation bar.

Ya but are all the features/options found in AOKP are in the CM9? For example, weather on lockscreen, different choices for status bar drop down toggles etc? Last time I tried CM9 I found it stock and not to my liking. I like customizations like AOKP has.
I found out later that the unicorn was considered cool by others so it didn't bother me as much and once I installed franco kernel, I typically replaced the boot animation with franco's...
nice, give it a try...
and yeah, the rainbow unicorn is definitely uncool and the biggest problem of aokp!
Coming from nightlys, should we wipe everything then flash or can we flash over the last nightly? Thanks in advanced

You can always flash a different boot screen, it takes all of a second to do and if you use TWRP you can just chain the boot screen. I didn't care much for the unicorn, but I dont't think much of CID either.

I'm going to hazard a guess and say that officially you should wipe and start afresh, but feel free to just flash over the top - just don't expect much support if you run into issues.

About the toggles. I really liked the AOKP ones, more ICS like. But... They take up all lot of space. You can simply press to hide but I like them to be there quickly..

Weather on lockscreen is there. Status bar drop downs.. there. Lock screen customizations, etc.
Many of the features from AOKP are in CM9 (with the recent versions of AOKP they're actually implementing features FROM CM9 into their ROM).
Such as their kernel, GNParts, AOKPStats, and a bunch of other features.
Try the ROM, just make a nandroid backup beforehand.. if you don't like it. Swap back. Like I said, only feature I REALLY miss is resizing the navigation bar to a smaller size.
I liked AOKP but I had a large number of problems with the ROM, my main issue was that it was being bloated with more and more unnecessary features.
AOKPtips.apk, swagpapers, etc.... basically unnecessary things like that. They all add up and build up to become a very bloated ROM. Not to mention again, they've started to add features from CM9 into their ROM which made it even worse. CM9 is more simplistic but still very customizable to use.

So just for the record, how will WFTN differ from these nightly releases now since we have official support?
Pretty sure WFTN will be dead as hes going to continue to work on this rom and tweak it to make it perfect. With it being official i assume hell be getting alot more assistance from the cya community which will be great! other more exp people will have to elaborate more than me

My understanding was that official cm builds needed to remain pretty "pure" while wftn would give the flexibility to add whatever tweaks dastin wants. I've asked the same question and may be making all of this up. So I'll let dastin tell us for sure.
All up to dastin for sure. I don't know why he'd wanna start adding tweaks and halos and stuff when he was going for pure and clean before but if he wants to start dabbling with wftn like that he can but as he always says he doesn't have much time so i figured he'd pretty much drop it and move on to full support of this i may be wrong but hell be the only one to answer it.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Cool! Is this rom good for daily use? Are those the only issues present?
Edit: Just noticed which device this is for... No GT-N8010?

Need to use CWM, the lastest version available.
Updated OP with gapps
Stupid question... Is there a way to install cwm on a SCH-I925? If I search for cwm and SCH-I925 I find nothing.
Unfortunately
Unfortunately, it doesnt work on the N8000. I would gladly test it. But it doesnt even detect the file. Same deal goes with the Gapps.

If I get time I will look at making this, but it will be a few days before I even look at it.
No worries, I have all the time. No haste. If you do, I would gladly become the first tester.
Any screen shots please?

This may be a really dumb question, and sorry if I overlooked something, but why is this posted in the Note 10.1 development if it's for the I925?

Hmm so if the Verizon note 10.1 gets official cm11 I'm sure and hopeful that the WiFi version n8013 should get official nightlies soon

Any news about the N8000? I'm on OmniRom and we having a problem with the screen that goes white https://www.dropbox.com/s/f5r5ltdppw5iqsh/IMG_20131228_181900.jpg
I was wondering if you had the same problem with your rom since I believe the two tables share the same hardware.
If you need someone to test CM11 on a N8000 I'm available!

A ROM FOR THOSE WHO DON'T BELIEVE IN ADDING JUST ANY RANDOM FEATURES. THOSE WHO WANT STABILITY WITHOUT NONSENSE FEATURES.
As most of you know, Vanir supports about 100 devices and has been around 2012.

Requirements
* You must read this post completely
* You must have flashed a stock MM update to update the firmware to a version that is compatible with these builds. Search XDA for the best way to do so for your device.
Vanir Features:
- We are a caf based ROM that shares many features with LineageOs
- However, unlike LINEAGE, we own features, optimisations, performance enchantments, scripts, and butter
- We also remove all tracking found in AOSP, google, and LINEAGE sources
You will get BUILDS FROM Two Developers: One is @NUCLEAR MISTAKE and @DHO
This Thread Will be updated with @DHO builds.
Please Keep in my mind @DHO always add things which are best and useful. Vanir don't add just any RANDOM Features from any ROM

VANIR was and will always be the name of Stability. @DHO don't believe in adding just any RANDOM features. This ROM is for those who want stability and smoothness.
We have inbuilt MAGISK support Just open it from developers options. You are good to go.
A word about the OREO updates: Still the oreo is in its infancies. As far as we are concerned we dependent on linageos for the trees. So before giving you any new build. As Vanir always stands for
Best experience, we will make sure that the linageos is well settled. Only after that, the real magic will start. Giving and talking about Oreo builds will not yield anything.

well Vanir is based on cm13 . Some people are saying CM is laggy these days due to live display. Don;t remember what was the issue. But this ROM has lot of under the hood enhancements with love from aosp. So you can try both and report back. Vanir is buttery smooth.
Does it have fp support?!

Oh well maybe that's true, regardless of that though you were one to bring it here yeah? Or was that some other dev/Porter?
I thank everyone for any amount of time at all they put into any kind of furthering, of the current condition of any situation. Progress usually only happens in small steps and if only big ones are ever made, and no one is around to do what some people call small steps, or less important stpes, or things less deserving of a thank you than the large steps, then progress never happens.
