Verizon MMS Don't Work

I upgraded to the nfsfan 6.5 v6r2 on my xv6900. got gps to work but cant get mms to work. I have installed the verizon mms cab but do not understand the directions for after install it on pg.238 of the nfs thread. it says
(* Install the cab provided in the link below, then after install go into the Connections,
and delete everything there. After that is done, open Advanced
Config, press Menu, and press "Import provisioning XML".
Search for mxipupdate_oemoperators_102.provxml, and import it. Soft-reset, and MMS
should work.)
whenever i try to send any pic or video message it says failed delivary. before i installled the mms cab i didnt have the option to send a pic or video. the options were greyed out and unclickable. so i thought installing the cab fixed it because all the options for sending mms became clickable. but i still get a failed delivery. the directions look very straight foward and im sorry for not understanding what to do exactly.
could someone walk me through this?

Thanks for the link! i can receive mms no prob but i cant send it out it says "originator address not found" can anyone help me with that?

Russian Text with all ? marks

Hi, i been doing alot of research already and cant find anything that helps me.
im looking for a keyboard or a mod that can enable my Unicode for sending sms messages. every time i send it to some one, that person gets everything in ? marks. now if i send it thru different app, they get it right. those who have HTC Tilt 2 probably understands that we have the manila version where we can read the messages and when we click on it a whole history opens. and if i type in russian there it works good. but if i open all messages and click on one of my contacts it will open another app with all history too but if i type in russian it will send only ? marks. id use that first app. but the problem with that is that i cant copy and past in to text box... so if anybody can help me find a russian keyboard with Unicode enabled that be great.

This is a font issue. The ? is there because it is unmapped from within the font itself. You need a font that has all the unicode stuff mapped.

Where can i get that font? and do i need to install that font on my device? or the device i send message to?

I must say that I've flashed my tp2 with different roms but never encountered such problem. People get normal russian text from me. But I use original drivers for keyboard that were extracted from the stock rom by b16b, if I remember the name correctly. I could upload the cab as soon as I am home if you want to give it a try.

I wish I had one. The ones I used to have that worked, seem to no longer work and I can't figure out why.

It is NOT a driver issue. This has NOTHING to do with hardware, and EVERYTHING to do with software.

I’m pretty sure it’s not the hardware issue ether. Eternalsinner if you can send me that ROM I could try it out… maybe that will help. Question is. How come the receiver gets the Russian font when I use the manila version of text messaging, and when I use regular windows version they all get “?” marks. So its gata be settings or software issue.

Thanks gehzumteufel. what if i install a Russian ROM will that change the settings to read unicode (UTF-8)?

It isn't that it can't read it, but a font file will have mappings for unicode values. So if the value for я is NOT in the font file, you will get one of three characters. A "?", a box looking character, or a blank space. This is just the way that fonts work unfortunately.

The 3 fonts I have, used to work. I tried them recently, and I got all ****ed up stuff. I can't figure it out.

APN List

Can someone please tell me where the apn list is held when viewing a rom in WINRAR? I need to extract it from the stock rom (rooted) and input it to FroyoSense.
I have ran searches but cant find anything named 3g or apn.

If you could let everyone know where you found it that would be great.

It wont work as is, you need to edit it.
You need to change <apns version="6"> to <apns version="8">
This was posted in the FroyoSense (OpenDesire) thread.
The file your looking for is /system/etc/apns-conf.xml

Thanks for your input. I am trying to create my own update.zip that will push my BT apn settings to my phone as they are not included in any of the updates so far and I am using the latest FroyoSense Rom V1.0c.
Can someone please take a look at me file and tell me where I am going wrong? Cause it aint working yet it looks identical to others I have seen.

Guys does anybody know how to stop/block changing sms switching to mms when going over 160 letters ? I installed it on my F320S via xposed it works nicely but on F180S I couldn't find it so I downl. manually installed but it is not working ..
If anyone got solution pls let me know

root phone, use file explorer app open file featureset.xml in /system/etc/ folder.
find and edit 2 lines like this:
<..."KREncodingScheme">false</...>
and
<..."max_user_data_bytes_ex">1600</...>
done.

MMS Setting Question

Greets all,
I was wondering if someone that has taken apart a Huawei Rom knows this two part question:
1) Does anyone know where the setting for MMS limits are located? In the HTC rom it was located in the default.xml file and was able to be edited before flashing a rom. With the Huawei Rom the default.xml file seems not to exist. I was looking for it in the HN8 rom to see if I can find the location, but it isnt showing up. which leads to my #2 question:
2) if anyone does know where its located, can it be pulled using adb shell and changed/edited and then re-injected into the phone?

It used to be in the xml folders in the /cust under mms_config.xml

Nope, already looked there, it seems to have been moved to another file as the two mms xml files dont have the mms file settings. My Honor Note 8 didnt have it either from the original rom.

My Mate 20x is sending out really low quality MMS pictures and it's annoying. Anyone figure out how to change the limits?

For now until it can be changed, I use Yaata since AT&T limit is 1MB, but I would rather use the default app, but not at whatever quality it is, my guess is 300k is probably the china limit, it would be much better if it had the options to choose.
