How-To create Operator CAB files

Hi,
Can someone here give a guide or steps on how to create an operator/service provider for MMS and wap. or can someone just made me one, so I don't have to configure it everytime I do a hard reset. Im in Brunei and my service providers are B.Mobile and DSTCom. Thanks in advance...

that´s no big problem...
search in the forum forum for the registry-entries....then use WinCECabManager...import the files and make your CAB-File.....very easy!

yes ive been playing around with wince cab manager all week.. i did manage to understand something in it but i need some explanation on things like:
1. CM_Networks - what is this use for
2. CM_ProxyEntries - when i see on this characteristic, i saw different input of "characteristic type" like for e.g. for VODA Ita is "HTTP-{A8BCF750-A9BC-4cc2-B10B-22D89F4C9D5C}" while for telstra i found that it has 2 types, "null-corp-{39C79ED0-5C5E-4745-B4FA-71C28CB50ED2}" and "HTTP-{18AD9FBD-F716-ACB6-FD8A-1965DB95B814}" and for O2 PAYG "WAP-{18AD9FBD-F716-ACB6-FD8A-1965DB95B814}". also i need to understand what is "SrcId" and "DestId" and what should i put in it..
so basicly this thing makes me confused and don't know which one to follow. I'll guess someone has to post a thread of "How-To" steps to create Operator CAB files and explain in a bit details about the "numbered things" like {A8BCF750-A9BC-4cc2-B10B-22D89F4C9D5C} , {18AD9FBD-F716-ACB6-FD8A-1965DB95B814} , {7022E968-5A97-4051-BC1C-C578E2FBA5D9}, {ADB0B001-10B5-3F39-27C6-9742E785FCD4} etc.

like where he can download it directly without having to go through rapidshare... you can do this by downloading it to your computer and then upload it as an attachment in the post... attachment option is the paper clip above when you type a post next to the smiley face... and just upload it like that...

I tryed to attach earlier and it fails? Then compressed in .zip it fails?

it keeps failing for me too, Uploading to my aol web space now. Should be on there in a few minutes and be a much faster download at least.

If you are using 6.1 you can not get the official MyFav look on your homecreen.
It has been altered to be able to scroll through a panel with contacts and able to call or send an sms.
Go to this thread first.
Read it, install and modify using that program.

[UPDATED] Miri ROM update watcher.

Hi everyone.
I'm a BIG fan of Miri's ROMs, and because of this I was always eager to know when he's released a new version. I could obviously keep checking the thread where his ROMs are posted & discussed, but I wanted something to let me know as soon as he posted something, without me having to manually check.
With that in mind, I came up with the "MiriROMWatcher" application. Simply download the file linked below and follow these instructions to install it...
Miri ROM Watcher - download
1. Unzip the rar file and place the exe file somewhere on your harddrive that you're happy with
2. Create a shortcut to the exe file (right-click and drag the file, let go and select "Create shortcut(s) here").
3. Move that shortcut file into your windows startup folder (so it starts every time you run windows.)
4. Double click the shortcut, or exe, to run the program.
Once it's running, it sits in your system tray and checks Miri's page every 10 minutes to see if the page title has changed. If it has, the icon flashes until you double-click it. (Double-clicking opens the thread in your default browser, whether flashing or not.) Since Miri changes the thread title to reflect the version number, it's a pretty simple way of looking for a new version of the ROM.
This is not a flashy, user-friendly program - it's a simple app that does a simple thing. With that in mind, there'll be no config files or front end, and it will probably never be updated in any way. If it doesn't work for you, send me a private message and I'll see if I can help, but I'm not promising anything. It's such a simple app that it should just work anyway.
Hope it helps some people out. If there's enough interest I'll look at doing a mobile version, so you know of updates even when you're out and about!

Edit:
I've modified the application to ignore page titles "Error Message" and "502 Bad Gateway". Whenever the XDA forum went down (for whatever reason), the app was seeing the error or gateway message as a new page title, and showing an update. It now simply ignores the page if it sees one of those titles. If you need to update the app, simply replace the existing exe file with the new one (make sure that the app is not running when you do this, or it won't work.)

Samsing Intrepid (SPH-i350) ROM Dumping

Hey there, i am the proud owner of a Samsung Intrepid on Sprints network. The bloatware and what not is terrible and i would love to be able to play around with diff ROM but i just need some help on a ROM Dump. Anyone with knowledge on samsungs or any other ROM dumps PLEASE point me in the right direction!

you should open this exe file in HEX editor. If PDA bin is not compressed than you can find PDA bin part starting with ASCII "B000F".

i opened in Restorator but it may as well have looked Chinese to me

do a find or search in the hex editor for "B000F"

Guys you in deep sh** ROM is packed, no b00f. I been trying it long time ago to dump it but there is no known way.
Only one you can do is to dump rom from PDA via pdocradle

Every one at her me have Samsung sprint i350 installed window professional 6.5 update ROM DD19 with UFONE GSM network at here Pakistan. I have face some problem to operate it here i disclose it to all plz any one who solve it all or any one I will thank full to him as my side.
1- I am unable to send sms to any save contact have other cellular network even me edit contact number with international format than I am able to send sms i.e local number is 03333482070 but when ever i send sms to this number after some seconds i have received dialog msg "destination number error". before it I have used HTC Verizon ozone model no any issue with same contact in outlook. Send sms to all numbers from outlook contact list but why at here? any solution or help?
2-When ever I connected my cell with system desktop or laptop clock show 1 hour advance i.e 5:00 am it show 6:00 am or 2:30 pm it show 3:30 pm. This issue is same in HTC Verizon ozone. any solution or help?
3-In internet connection option I select auto selection option but mostly i connect internet via internet-sharing option most gprs connect with mms profile.
I hope very soon forum shall reply me to help me solve issues and make my mind tension free and support me to optimum used of my device. I shall very thank fully with my bottom of heart.

cm 11 no apn specified error

Hi
I am new to rooting and cutom roms.
I have installed latest cm 11 nightly (cm11-20140210) and gapps on my htc one x .
Everything Works fine excepts MMS
When i try to send or recive MMS the phone gives me the error "no apn specified"
I have checked the apn and it have the correct settings .
Any ideas what is wrong ?
Also my battery drains pretty fast anybody Else with this issue ?

Found a solution
You have to manualy delete default apn's even though they are correct configured.
Delete Them and ADD new Then it Works

Hello,
I'm facing the same problem with the CM11 nightly on my galaxy S2. The only difference is that it shows always the error message on the screen, not only when I try to send MMS.
After deleting all the APNs, what did you do to set them back? Did you set it/them manually?

I set it manually following the guide from my carrier and it works...at least for now
