I bought galaxy grand from saudi arabia. After my firmware update to 4.2.2, mobile is getting stuck and became very slow. main problem is, when i use camera to take photos, i can hear the camera sound ,but it is not taking photos..please give me the solution bros..Thanks

Easy, just download other country firmware from sammobile.com (middle east if you prefer arabic language) then download odin3.04, put your phone into download mode, open odin and check pda, choose the firmware and flash it, this can loss your data, backup it first.

M at the end is just the model number for canadian variants. For instance, Rogers has the SGH-1747M model while AT&T has the SGH-1747 model. You can use AT&T roms on these devices though.

It means no update yet in your country, you can check the list of the region that already update on sammobile.com, just type gt-n5100 in firmware search

Well... if you have the carrier network aplication on your Note, then you have to wait until they release the update.
If not, I don't know what happen, because my device always on root condition and hit 21 counters, never got the OTA.
Try download from Sam if you like to.

Its to my understanding that samsung released the 4.2 update for the galaxy note 2. I have the international verison. When I connect my device to kies it doesnt recognize my firmware version. I think they have been rolling out based on country my concern is that because it is an international verison and the only news that I've heard about the update for that note 2 in the U.S is the carrier verisons, is there a way to update officially?

Wait for it to come out for your country and flash it with odin.

Keep in mind that you will get the new KNOW boot-loader and the up-mentioned update is 4.3 not 4.2.x

For official 4.1.2 firmware, go to www.sammobile.com and download the firmware for your phone based on country/carrier
Extract the obtained zip file and flash using Odin

Select your DEVICE TYPE , OS , MODEL, COUNTRY ....it will show you available official firmware .... if you find a 4.1.2 then you are lucky... Download it and flash via odin (you may be asked to register in the site , but that's fine as you are getting an official firmware )
