[Q] How can i update to 4.1.2

hi guys,
there is 4.1.1 on the phone and it's unrooted. when i check to new uptades it says "your device has latest version". i don't understand why can't i uptade to 4.1.2. by the way i'm living in turkey. is it not avaliable for turkey ?

the update is not released in your area yet.
check sammobile for the latest updates.
officially the 4.1.2 is released only for poland as i know.
i'm waiting for the update too

I think the only way for now is through Odin or ClockworkMod custom ROM.

As said above, your region does not have an official update yet. Wait for your area to get the OTA or D/L the new Rom and flash via odin or CWM.

If you get the polish download, do you just flash your countries CSC file with it to make it locale ?

I flashed my phone with N7100XXDLJ2_N7100OXADLJ2_OXA.zip after flashing with CM10 the camera didnt work
Its nothing to write home about trust me, there are several new additions, to me its just like 4.1.1

[Q] Kies also doesnt upgrade the version

I have N7100XXALJ2 Baseband version in my phone and even if I connect to Kies then also it says its the latest OS whereas its only 4.1.1

You have to wait - the update is only pushed out to few countries. You can follow the update periodically at samfirmware site - type 7100 into search and look for 4.1.2 update in your country.

yeah, mine's an N7105ZHALJ4 and I too am waiting.
Mine came from Hong Kong via Kogan.com.au, and if I factory wipe it then it comes up in Chinese. I really want it to come up in English by default.
If I flashed a European ROM, would that fix it, or do I have to do some magic with the CSC?

You could all have different firmwares from different countries. I'm in America, bought mine from Newegg and I have Moroccan firmware.

All had the same uk modrl with the same uk firmware

Even today when I connect my phone with Kies , it still says that the phone is with the latest firmware . Can any body help please ?

Manu dont freak out m8.. its just because your country haven't receive the update yet, just like me and many others are waiting.. so no panic..

i had 4.1.1 and all went fine but stuckd at download mode ,thts the finall stage on kies upgrade..my xda frnds suggestd me to use odin and to suprise even odin dint recognize my phone in down mode...."and my drivers were all correct"...then i jus connected to my other port and it was all set to flash..iam on 4.1.2.....

If your phone is a brand one, it may take a long time for the carrier to make an update. I'm with Orange/Sosh in France, and my device is always with 4.1.1, no available update. But it's not that important, i use Exynos abuse to pach the infamous exynos memory exploit, phone works very well and is root, so i don't really need a new firmware.

how do i know wich firmware is the right one for my device?

Your rom is one of from gulf country and there is no update still
You can flash any country rom, and you will get OTA when there is update for country which you have flashed.

well i try before flashing a diffrent rom but my csc will remain the same and when connecting to kies it say your device does not support trough kies
on sammobile all firmwares comes just one file PDA
how can i flash full firmware ?

PDA files comes with csc packed inside and in some cases this happens it doesn't flash csc
You may retry flashing same rom with csc tab instead of pda if csc doesn't apply correctly.
Otherwise you can reflash rom when there is update available for your csc.

The new update is not available yet in my country so I downloaded the new firmware from the internet it was in french language but now I am using custome 4.1.2 because I noticed too much battery drain in 4.1.2 over the previous 4.1.1

that is same stock ROM one available on sammobile OR from thread on XDA (first line on my signature) which you are using to flash with PDA in Odin

[Q] Update to Official 4.3 via Kies (or other)

Its to my understanding that samsung released the 4.2 update for the galaxy note 2. I have the international verison. When I connect my device to kies it doesnt recognize my firmware version. I think they have been rolling out based on country my concern is that because it is an international verison and the only news that I've heard about the update for that note 2 in the U.S is the carrier verisons, is there a way to update officially?

Wait for it to come out for your country and flash it with odin.
You can check here: www.samfirmware.com/ or here: http://samsung-updates.com/
Keep in mind that you will get the new KNOW boot-loader and the up-mentioned update is 4.3 not 4.2.x

I forgot that 4.2 was skipped. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep a look out.

Is there any issue of I download firmware from sammobile for India region and install on my note 2? My phone is rooted. Please check the attached picture for my build and details. Little guidance is appreciated as I'm still newbie.

[Q] camera not working

I bought galaxy grand from saudi arabia. After my firmware update to 4.2.2, mobile is getting stuck and became very slow. main problem is, when i use camera to take photos, i can hear the camera sound ,but it is not taking photos..please give me the solution bros..Thanks

Flash other 4.2.2 firmware via odin. Backup your data first

Easy, just download other country firmware from sammobile.com (middle east if you prefer arabic language) then download odin3.04, put your phone into download mode, open odin and check pda, choose the firmware and flash it, this can loss your data, backup it first.
