recommandation kernel - Sony Xperia ZL

Which kernel would you redcommend for Xperia ZL / Android 4.3 / P.A.C True All in 1 ROM ?
Thank you

I recommend you stay with the PAC built in kernel.
There is no real alternative kernel for 4.3 AOSP roms on ZL right now.
I used MEOW-Kernel, but it doesn't boot the newer nightlies..
But hey, the PAC kernel is pretty stable, use the one from 2014.01.22 nightliy.
Do NOT flash ANY kernel for the Xperia Z, you will end up with a bootloop!

CM9.1 rom Vs Clean Tweaked Stock Rom ?

Hi Everyone!
I am back for some more rom development...
So what rom do you guyz want?
CM9.1 based Sony Xperiance Rom
OR
Clean Tweaked Stock Rom
Also please vote on the pole please..
Smooth ROM
i have seen that no ICS rom is as smooth as GB.. If you can make it smooth please build any of these:highfive::good:
i think you should work with n1kolaa on porting xperia z 4.1.2 rom
Depends on u yourself.
But for me, I like tweaked stock rather than Custom build due to HDMI.

[Q] Compile CWM for ramdisk and JB kernel

Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this but...my first question is how do i compile CWM for the kernel ramdisk? I have the CyanogenMod tree and everything but when i compile i get a flash-able .img CWM. My next question is if there are any other JB kernels for the xperia play besides multiboot ones? Or will i have to *try* and port a JB kernel from a different sony device over to the play to be able to use one?
AW: [Q] Compile CWM for ramdisk and JB kernel
Just download FreeXperia's Cm10 for Xperia Play, the kernel is in the zip. i think they share their sources on github. Just do a quick search
I think lupus kernel is not multi boot aware yet. try it and if that don't work I have v5 of lupus if you want it

Wanna JB 4.2 or 4.3 : what kernel / rom ?

Hi.
My LT26 is actually on rom stock .211 (tried .96, better battery but trouble with camefa focus).
Was is a good rom for JB 4.2.2 (and what kernel with it) ?
It seems that 4.3 roms are still in testing sequence ?
Thks.
in my opinion the 4.3 rom is more stable than the 4.2.2's I've been using it daily since it's release and never any issues

4.2 rom
I think... PAC rom might be want you are looking for, but I'm not sure... :-?
Different flavours...
Hello,
during the last few months, I tried several roms. If you rely on HDMI and want to have the best from your camera (but not the newest features), you should stick with modifications of the Xperia rom.
Most of the time I had SlimBean on my Xperia S, but they have for now finished the development, stopped with a (in my opinion very good) 4.2.2 stable version. For me it worked perfectly on a everyday basis, stable, fast, and with a very nice all-black interface (as most roms offer now). You can download it on their website. And here is the link to the according xda-thread. But many links on that forum thread are now dead, as the downloads have been moved to the "Old Releases" section on the website. If you want to use another kernel with it, I chose the OpenSEMC beta2 kernel, but I did not find any differences in comparison to the stock SlimBean kernel. Don't use 3.4 kernels with the 4.2.2 SlimBean Roms! SlimBean relies on 3.0 kernels, here is a discussion about this topic.
But now I wanted to have some android 4.3 running, and so far I see only two options for that:
The PAC beta1 which I have currently installed (still some issues there, but is OK for daily use and FAST), and the AOSP alpha1 which I have not tested so far.
I hope this helped you a little bit! If so -> thanks-button is waiting
RC2 kernel should be the same as slim bean hence not noticing any difference.
I'm still on aosp 4.3 and it's still consistently smooth and fast

OpenSEMC beta2 with SlimBean, NOT the RC2
Hello,
as corrected by now, I made a mistake in my post above, it is the OpenSEMC beta2 kernel you need for the use with SlimBean, NOT the RC2.
In this post is an according link (second one).
Any forecast about a stock JB 4.3 launch for XS? When?

[Q] [Acro S][JB] Kernel with Overclocking Support + ext4 ?

Hi XDA!
I'm looking for a Kernel which will run with the Stock Xperia 4.1.2 Rom that also supports overclock, swap, fastcharge and ext4.
Looking for something built on the .96 Kernel.
However, the ones available are for ICS or they are unavaible for download(aka discountinued)
So I was thinking, is it possible to run one of the OpenSEMC kernels on Stock rom? (Assuming they have support for oc,swap,ext4,fastcharge)
Does any of the OpenSEMC kernels support overclock,ext4,swap,fastcharge? (If I were to flash to a 4.2.2 rom)
Or would it be easier to create my own Kernel for the Stock 4.1.2 rom and add these functions myself?
