it´s really a question that you can´t solve by yourself testing several roms?
i tested a lot of roms and the majority are stables and fast (always custom rom of course )) my current rom its wrote in my syg (it don´t means that the rest are worse....)simply ITS MY CURRENT ROM
I think that it hasn´t better answer.... the only thing that i can say is try several roms since @Seraphic pure android 2.3.3 to AOSP roms, themed roms.... and decide.
Yeah i went and used a few other rom's but to be fair i got the best out of Android Revolution, though i've also had RCMix rom's they are always good fun to use
I would recommend LeeDroid. It's stable, fast, and very well supported and updated by the developer. Highly customizable too
I'm using Revolution and love it. But it's really about testing out each ROM and seeing which one suits your needs. You'll be sure to find more and more ROMs you love. Then just pick the one you found the most usable and more to your style.
Obviously always make sure to check over new ROM updates to see if maybe another ROM offers something a bit more.

under my opinion, this is the best answer..
Try and play around flashing. Its also fun anyway. xD
Thank you guys. The only reason im reluctant on keep flashing roms is due to fear of bricking. I mean I spent £340 for the phone and I dont want it dead lol

Hi everyone, just a simple question. I am looking for the best overall ICS rom for the T989 right now. Is it worth flashing now or should I wait for Jelly Bean rom or any other rom? Thanks for the help everyone.

I'm using Darkside Evolution 3 v7 ICS rom and it works flawlessly. Best ICS rom I've ever used.

So far Aokp is my DD right now I like to the stock feeling of ICS and not touchwiz

Ah dissenting opinions! So there is no de facto rom?
That's like asking what the best car is. Its subjective.

Let the flashing begin...
Personally, I've stuck with Darkside Evolution 3 (v7) since its release. Although it looks very stock, it's very stable with an amazing kernel and battery life.
AOKP and cm9 are amazing (I'll be flashing cm9 again once we get our release candidate).
AOKP feels like cm based ROM with a little more to offer but with that being said, neither feel as stable as a stock based ROM for our phones at the present time.
You'll always get a biased opinion so I'd suggest flashing some of the more popular roms by checking each thread and good luck buddy!

I've been wondering the same. Reading through the forums, I determined Darkside Evolution 3 (v7) was the most popular. It took a few flashes before I was able to get it working right on my phone, but it runs similar to stock. The only way you'll be able to tell if you like it is if you give it a try.
aokp..... more tweaks.... less bloats, stable, fast.

Try ParanoidAndroid, this ROM is awesome.

I'm gonna say AOKP. I've tried all of the aforementioned ROMs and I have settled on AOKP because of the amazing battery life, customization and the AOSP theme it comes with. AOKP has also become very stable as of recently, rivaling the stability of Darkside. I used to run Darkside when it first came out, but now I can't get over the very stock feel/look. If you enjoy the tweaking, I would suggest AOKP. If not, then go with Darkside. If you want something in the middle, go with CM.
+1 on AOKP and link is in the sig. Darkside is also a great ROM just depends on your preference of touchwiz or stock. Both are the top ROMs imo.
Either AOKP or anything DARKSIDE.

I find it funny anytime I see one of these threads and find it even funnier when I see how many people answer. Its probably easier to say what not to use....LOL
Lets be honest thousands of people use this forum and if only 20 actually answer this thread I am quite sure all of the dozen or so roms will be mentioned... This question is like mentioned earlier is subjective and no way can you find a definitive answer in here....
I hate stock but there are some advantages to it, I love CM9 but also enjoy some of the tweaks of AOKP... I just load them all up get them to how I like it and nandroid them all... Problem solved
OP good luck but instead of reading our crazy posts get to flashing
AOKP
I am on AOKP Milestone 6. Was gonna try Darkside, but liked aokp and dont see any reason to switch.
There are few things that will not work with AOKP.
1) WIFI calling
2) Audio out via the car dock.
If those are not issues, try it out.
Anyone suggest a Rom for me
? Was using a good Rom since April but due to lack of support by developer I need to move on..

hard to say boyo im using the venom one have to say it's the longest lasting rom so far on my device.
Take venom Rom
Best Rom four personalisation Verb fast stabile and good battery Live
To be honest it depends what your looking for.
Stability - ARHD/LEEDROID
Cutomization - slimcs/exodized/venom
Those are just some of the more popular roms. I personally run exodized and I've flashed nearly every other one, always end up back on exodized for its aosp feel and performance and great battery life.

hi
as allready writen that depends what are u looking for.
i've been using for some time in DHD and one X the Android Revolution HD
good rom and stable
also tested LEEDROID but prefered to go back to arhd
As sugested here i think i'm gona try the venom Rom looks niece
and see how it works.
I have been using different ROMS. For most customizations, go for venom.
For sheer stability and stock look. ARHD is THE best.
And AOSP ROMS keep it simple. I personally love paranoid android. It's a hybrid rom
Worth checking out. Using it as my daily driver
Whichever rom works the best for you is the best one. Best thing to do is try them give them a couple of days to settle in and see which you prefer.

ViperX is the most cutomizable SENSE ROM with its OTA support. Take a look at Original Android Development and Android Development threads. The best ROM for me is.the one where developers actively support their users.

TBalden's CM9 and Floatshow's ParanoidAndroid (officially best battery life)

I'd say Trips CM9 Rom with jelly bean stuff, very very smooth, and nice battery time. Still a little buggy, so you need to be able to handle that...
IMHO for me it was and still is that pokemon Rom with faux kernel. The best one i used do far. Right behind is leedriod and ARHD. Havent tried Venom because one of my friends bricked his phone trying to install it and the install procedure is atleast complicated and undefined. Some say you should install it this way others say different. They dont even say does the auto-rom flasher work on a stock-rooted phone.
I would suggest the Venom rom, good battery and alot of custom stuff
Would you like to stick close to stock I suggest ARHD
many AOSP roms
most AOSP ROMs are cool..
i use CM9 port and my friend uses IcedCooled AOKP.. they work pretty well
Go with venom, u won't regret it. It is very stable and battery life is awesome.

Give Domination CyanogenMod 9 a whirl. Its a sensless rom but has an almost entirely ICS feel to it. Easy to use with great features
been using Leedroid for a while nice ROM clean and stable with some nice tweaks
Give a try to Domination + faux3b11 kernel and undervolt it in 100mv. Nice rom, many costomization options, stable and fast.
Suggest me a good rom. My conditions are
1. good battery life
2. OAT updates needed for new rom versions .
3. Preferring ROM without sense
4. Preferable Jelly bean
5. Good sound quality ( beats )
6. Should be stable
7. Should remove hearing of mobile
8. Preferring htc camera app
9. good performance.
so please help me to find a rom according to my criteria.
May god bless you
#4 makes #1 impossible at this point.
Besides, you should go through all of the different ROM threads to learn everyone's experiences.
#8 and #2 conflict with #3

Use The CM Nightly. See tbaldens thread under Original Android Development

Suggest looking at ARHD, is currently ICS, but already looks to be
working with early JB code and will most likely one of the first ROMs
to support JB. Can always replace the bits of sense you don't like
Viper X
You can't wait all your 'criteria', in one ROM at the moment haha...
So one or two of your 'criteria', may have to be sacrificed.
Gonna have to suggest the viperx Rom, may not be jb but once you have used it you will be willing to wait for the devs to switch to jb base. In the aroma installer you can desense it as much as you like, then flash a aosp mod for a more than adequate aosp feel and look

ViperX for OTA updates, but if you're looking for JB, I suggest you go for CM10 Nightlies.
Try them all mate, only you can decide what's best for you. We can all say try this that or the other but it's what comes down to personal taste that matters. Any of the current Sense based roms are excellent. Viper X has some fantastic tweaks that make it special. ARHD is highly popular, got a great dev behind it.
Then you have CM9/CM10/AOKP roms, they are fine for daily use bug minor bugs here and there.
Official Jelly Bean is due soon, so in the mean time start flashing and testing! Also kernels will help with battery life and such as well.
Good luck. :good:

Jellytime R30 ..
ViperDHD(ICS) and Android Revolution(GB)
1 . Your asking a question in the wrong section, questions belong in the Q & A section. Unless about a specific rom then you ask that in the roms thread.
2. We are warned over and over that questions like these are not allowed. Go to the different rom threads and read the last few pages to get an idea of the issues users are having with that specific rom .
3 All roms are stable or close to it.

Blackout is stable fast Rom
Coredroid is my favorite Rom but a little out dated but it rocks
Sabsa prime look great and smooth but buggy as hell
So all roms aren't stable

Congratulation new member, you have just gotten reported!
Thread closed
I really don't know how often we have closed these kind of threads. Why don't you get it that there is no answer to that question that would be more than a subjective impression. Try some roms and decide yourself.
