Hi I got a S4 Mini Model GT-I9190 from a friend, I tried to put one of the ROMs on it, but when I try to enter in recovery mode to do it the language is on some Chinesse, Japanesse, Korean and I don't wich option should I go to.
So my first doubt is, is this phone original? I've been doing a little research and it appears so but I got confused on the language parte, and the second one is there a way I can change de language? becasue even in samsung app is on that language everything else it's a mix between spanish and english.
Phone information:
Model: GT-I9190
Android version: 4.2.2
Band version: I9190XXUAMF7
Kernel version: 3.4.0-933422 [email protected] #1 Fri Jun 21 13:30:42 KST 2013
Compilation number: JDQ39.I9190XXUAMF7
Compilation version: v.s.131206
Any help will be appreciate it.

I dont think there is a way to change that language. I have it in Korean. But in download mode it becomes English. I dont know maybe a senior member can help.
I too have it in Korean. Just look at a screen shot of the default one. In the start there is a paragraph that says using custom rom blah blah. The down area says Press Vol UP to continue and Down to stop. So to go in download mode just press the volume up.
The download mode does open in English. You can flash CWM if you want to totally change it.

Hi, I just got my phone yesterday.
I see that latin american rom is not available on the site. Just a backup is ok? or should I take special consideration to dump it before putting other roms?
I want to be sure both that I can go back and that I can get the required info to contribute the rom here.
thanks!
What Android version does it come with?
System Version
Blur_Version.6.14.7.MB525.Personal.en.AR
Firmware Version
2.1-Update1
Build number
System version: Blur_Version6.14.7.MB525.Personal.en.AR

Another question, is any ROM in the forums posted in spanish?
Cuz i'd like to change mi stock ROM.
I'm from Argentina, so thats the reason for my lame english.
The Central Europe one has Spanish.
http://and-developers.com/sbf:defy
But if it's anything like Portuguese it's pretty broken, half the GUI is in english and the other half is in pt, plus it doesn't support special characters, so no ~´ç

If i can use Recovery without using RSDLite, what ROM do you recomend?.
I need help updating to android 4.0. I have been going trough pages and reading, but there is simply too much stuff that i cant understand. Here is the situation: I can't update to android 4.0 through kies. What i need to do?
Model number: GT.i9100
Android version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: I9100XXKG1
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-i9100XXKG1-CL349526 [email protected] #2
Build number: Gingerbread.XXKG1
I have rooted my phone earlier, installed custom ROM, and then installed android 2.3.4 stock firmware. Information above tells everything about my SGS2. I can't find android 4.0 firmware download links, or instructions how to even do it. I have odin, and before i rooted my phone i took this information up what my phone used to be
baseband 19100xxki4
kernel i9100xwki8
To be hones, i don't know what those even mean. I only know that now they are different, and because my CSC is wrong i cant update with kies. I installed application called CSC select and it says my CSC is KOR. I also read that it needed to be NEE(nordic countries), to be able to update with kies. How ever CSC select application doesn't have a NEE available...
I am pretty clueless what i needed to do now, would really apperciate if someone could give me some advice. I dont need my android 4.0 to be rooted.
In the same boat

Hi, I am much in the same position as you. I am still trying to figure out my options, and will post back if I get anywhere. In the meantime, can you please post CSC etc details of your phone? You can get this by opening the dialer, and dialling
Code:
*#1234#
This is what I get; can you confirm if you have the same thing?
Code:
PDA : I9100XXKG1
PHONE : I9100XXKG1
CSC : I9100[B]O[/B]XAKG1
Build Info: Tue Jul 5 23:11:24 KST 2011
(Note that the bold letter in CSC is an uppercase letter "o", NOT numeral "0").
Do you have any idea if your phone is region-locked, region-free, unlocked, factory unlocked etc? Bought in India?
Cheers,

I have to same problem
I order my phone on ebay from china made in Korea
Hi,
I attempted to put a stock rom back on the phone and then re-root.
I found a link for the stock rom whick matched my Build number and using ODIN it successfully installed.
Main issue I had previous was that I could not load into the Android recovery screen which I now can do.
When the phone booted up I was very surprised to see a "Orange mobile" splash screen and also the addition of loads of Orange Apps? Which I've now disabled. Could be A French ROM?
How can I get a Stock rom without any Mobile operator Bloatware and get rid of that Splash screen?
I don't understand most of the details related to my model number but it appears they have changed slightly.
Here's the list;
Model no. GT-N7100
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version N7100BVDMF2
Kernel version 3.031-107214 [email protected]#1
SMP PREEMPT Sat Jun1 12.22.20 KST 2013
Build number JZ054K.N7100XXDMF1
I have also downloaded the Samsung galaxy note2 toolkit but cannot find my model numbers as it's not shown within the ranges.
Build numbers available between DMA3 - DMC1. does that make a difference.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
If you want an unbranded stock Rom for your region, go to sammobile.com and grab the latest firmware for the n7100, region code united kingdom btu. The btu bit denotes its unbranded and for the UK.

Thanks, I found it virtually straight away after creating my post last night.(as they say ,the informations out there, you just gotta know where to look!).I chose that one(French rom) on Sammobile as the build numbers where the same.! should of researched first
Thanks for the link.
I've just installed the stock ROM and all went well.
One issue or may not be is that when i go to About Device-Software update-check for updates and press nothin happens? Isn't it suppose to say Your device is already upto date?
Is there any links for a stable and most up to date version of Twrp recovery?
So Now i will try re-rooting again. I think I am going to try Twrp recovery after looking at a few forums.
Also I have seen people tap the Android version button(in About device) and the Jelly Bean wallpaper comes up but in my about device its all greyed out?
Anyway thanks again for the Help it was Greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Recently I bought a Galaxy Note 2 , and I installed the following firmware :
Model: GT-N7100
Country: Greece (Cosmote)
Version: Android 4.1.2
Changelist: N/A
Build date: N/A
Product Code: COS
PDA: N7100XXDMB2
CSC: N7100COSDMA2
MODEM: N7100XXDLK7.
After Installing that firmware the phones IME number did change and there is no network signal at all ,gives an error message cannot register to network.
Does anyone have some ideas of how to change the IME number , as well as get signal back on the phone.
Any help really appreciated.

I've read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389426 looks like in order for you to fix that, is you need to have a back up of your efs. And I'm guessing you don't have one.
Try searching through google or here for a way to restore it without the back up. And you can try sending private msg. to experts like dr.ketan. Make sure to thank him if he helps you

I visit china and I bought a Huawei Honor 3. In the store they told me that the language settings were Chinese and English. What they showed me was also in English. Back home I discovered that the phone is English but Chinese English. So a lot of text is English but a lot of text is Chinese and I believe I have also some restrictions on the download of apps.
In the store they told me that this phone is the same as a Asecend P6 and if I boot the phone I get a Asecend message.
Details:
Model number: HN-U01
CPU: quad 1,5ghz
Android: 4.2.2
Emotion UI 1.6
baseband version:imc1202_penta
kernel version: 3.0.8-00829-g59c9c87 [email protected]#1
build number: HN3-u01v100r001chnc00b113
What is the best think to do? I want nothing special so is it possible to load a standard P6 rom on the phone suitable for Europe?
I hope there is a simple solution,
So thanks in advance for the help!

ascend p6 and honor 3 are two completely different cell phones
problem solved
I solved my problem via the android SDK
The kernel and build number is different from P6.
From hardware point, besides the camera and battery, there is no difference. you should send query to Huawei officials.
That is not goog idea, probably you will brick your phone.
